AGEL receives LOA for 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project

Ahmedabad: Adani Renewable Energy Holding Eight Limited (“AREHEightL”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (“AGEL”) on December 31, 2020 receives the Letter of Award (LOA) to set-up 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. AREHEightL participated in a tender issued by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (“SECI”) for setting up 1,200 MW ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. The fixed tariff for this project capacity is Rs. 2.41/ kWh for a period of 25 years. The project is expected to be commissioned in 18 months from the effective date of PPA.

With this project, total renewable energy project capacity of AGEL now stands at 14,795 MW, of which 2,950 MW projects are operational and 11,845 MW projects are under implementation. This Wind-Solar Hybrid Project, strengthens AGEL’s pioneer position for RE Hybrid projects in India. Hybrid projects enables optimal utilisation of grid infrastructure, lead to a more sustainable integration of renewable energy and works as a key enabler for growth of renewable power in India.

IIM Sambalpur has received generous support from Govt. of Odisha in the form of 200 acres of land being provided by them for the construction of proposed campus. The Ministry of Education has extended continued administrative support and financial grant to the tune of Rs. 401.97 crores for the realization of this project. The project is time bound to be completed by April 2022. The proposed campus will be a fully equipped state-of-art structure with energy efficient green features as per GRIHA standards. The new and permanent campus of the institute will have a green campus with maximum usage of renewable energy. The heritage and art of Odisha will also reflect in the building design. IIM Sambalpur had assigned NBCC (India) Ltd., A Govt. of India under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, for providing the “Project Management Consultancy” services.

Awarded by Governor, Chef Taruna Birla is now launching her own book

Visionary Chef Taruna Birla who is also a homemaker, mother and an entrepreneur observed a thing about her vicinity that there were no cooking classes in her city that would teach people how to cook delicious food in a fun and exciting way. Hence, she started her cooking institute- a state of the art infrastructure and well-equipped culinary studio to fulfill this need of people in her city.

Taruna Birla was born in Bhilwara, Rajasthan in 1980. She got her early cooking inspiration from her grandmother, whom she describes as ‘An excellent cook with a fantastic imagination’.  Describing more about her grandmother she said “All we need to say that we are hungry and she would rush up to her kitchen and like a magician, she would bring something innovative which we thoroughly relished.” As a teenager she was highly fascinated by her grandmother’s skills and decided to throw herself completely into cooking. She graduated in Food production in the year 2017 with a specialized course in Bakery and confectionary. She established her cooking institute in 2020 after realizing her ultimate dream. She says that her cooking is from her heart and mind.

We will train our students to bring out the Master Chef in them by slowly mastering the craft of winning hearts, filling stomachs and electrifying tongues. Ankit Arora as the notorious Shaitan in &TV’s Yeshu

& TV’s latest offering Yeshu is an untold and unheard story of a benevolent young boy a first for Hindi GEC. The show’s star cast has been making waves already with names such as Vivaan Shah (Yeshu),Sonali Nikam (Mary), Aarya Dharamchand (Joseph), Rudra Soni (Herod Antipas) and Darpan Srivastava (King Herod). Now we hear, Ankit Arora, a well-known name in the industry, will portray the notorious Shaitan character. Shaitan is a dark and intense persona who easily influences people. Shaitan is a forceful personality who does not like to lose, the puppeteer pulling strings on the cunning King Herod, driving him against little Yeshu and putting his life in danger. Ankit Arora tells us more about Shaitan, “I play a negative role, who tempts people to commit sins. The true definition of a troublemaker. I am excited to see how this pans out as my strong suit has been in positive and do-good roles. I hope the fans continue to shower me with their love and support and truly enjoy the story of Yeshu.”

‘Yeshu’ is a story of an exceptionally benevolent child who only wants to do good and spread happiness all around him. His love and compassion for all is a stark contrast to the dark, evil forces prevalent during his birth and childhood. Witnessing the various atrocities on his family and in society has a deep impact on him. His attempt to help others and ease their pain often leads to situations where he inevitably ends up being hurt and condemned by the oppressors and the people at large. But even that does not stop Yeshu from continuing his path. It is not only the most iconic story of good versus evil, but it also captures the beautiful relationship between Yeshu and his support and guide – his mother.

December performance helps NMDC end the year on a good note

Hyderabad: NMDC, the country’s largest Iron Ore producer, and a Navratna Company, continued the impressive performance run in the month of December 2020 also. This is the 5th month in 2020, when production and sales showed an uptick when compared to the CPLY.

Iron ore production for the month of December 2020 is 3.86 MT (Million Tonnes) against the production level of 3.13 MT in December 2019, thereby registering a growth of 23.3%.

Iron ore production in Q3 of FY20 is 9.61 MT against the production of 8.56 MT in Q3 of FY19, thereby registering a growth of 12.3% (CPLY).

Iron ore sales for the month of December 2020 is 3.62 MT against the sales level of 3.04 MT in December 2019, thereby registering a growth of 19.1%.

Iron ore sales in Q3 of FY20 is 9.44 MT against the sales in Q3 of FY19 is 8.44, thereby registering a growth of 11.8% (CPLY).

NMDC is steadily improving its performance every month and continues to enhance the production level month on month. The performance of the last few months and December showcases production and sales will exceed last year’s performance, despite the adverse circumstances of 2020. The performance proves NMDC’s ability to battle any challenge and maintain its leadership position in the industry.

Shri Sumit Deb, CMD, NMDC commented “The steady growth in performance has helped us end the year on a good note. We are on our way to better the cumulative figures both physical and financial parameters of the previous year. Indian steel industry revival needs support to tide over the crisis and we are doing our best to cater to it.
