Jaipur: The first batch of IIHMR University, Jaipur (1996-98), celebrated their Silver Jubilee by reuniting at the IIHMR University campus, Jaipur on November 28, 2021. A total of 12 Alumni – Manvir Singh, Administrative Director at Thumbay Group,Dubai , Shibu John, Dean, school of management and business studies, Aarti Gupta, Business Development and Credit , Self-Company, Himanshu Bansal, Consultant, and many more attended the alumni meet who are now at successful positions in reputed organizations and some even owning their own entrepreneurial ventures.

The reunion of the batch of 1996 was planned to celebrate the success stories of the former students of the prestigious institution IIHMR University. Dr PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, said “I feel elated to have this first set of IIHMR participants join us today on this special day of Silver Jubilee Celebration. We started off with a specialized management programme which was unique and not offered anywhere in India. We are delighted to see young minds that once graduated from IIHMR University to have reached pioneering positions in their career. It’s been so many years, I still remember my first batch in 1996, your faces are still so fresh, and all of you are very welcome in this alumni of your University. The purpose of organizing the Reunion on this prestigious occasion of completion of 25 years is to celebrate old moments and old relationships as well as to start a chapter on new relationships and refresh the old memories.”

Dr Manvir Singh, Administraive Director, Administrative Director, Health Care Division at Thumbay Group, said, “Finding the proper path to success at the appropriate moment is critical, and IIHMR University was my choice for that. I became a competent guy because of the welcoming environment and systematic approach to delivering information that we were taught here. The extensive choice of curricular and co-curricular activities, as well as the support from our professors, have been extremely beneficial to my future. Surprisingly, we were overjoyed at the gesture we received today after 25 years. We were made to seat by our roll number, which brought back memories of our former days.”

Dr Sodani further said, “Finally, I’d want to commend everyone of you who are seated here for your various duties. In the audience are directors, doctors, entrepreneurs, directors, freelancers, and others. I’d want to express my gratitude for all of your efforts toward the advancement of our society, and I thank you for justifying your time at IIHMR University.”

Jaipur: IIHMR University, Jaipur a pioneering academic institution in India Celebrated Teachers’ Day virtually to mark the birth anniversary of the great philosopher, teacher, scholar and the second President of Independent India Dr Sarvopalli Radhakrisnan.

The faculty of IIHMR University has contributed a good deal to the growth of the institute and has participated in Nation-building for the last many decades. They have served as role models for the younger generation. Their contribution has yielded rich dividends in the form of quality graduates from IIHMR University who stand stronger with the best in the world.

Dr PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, while thanking his teachers who taught him and motivated him to reach this level also thanked his students for their love and affection and motivated them to always follow the right path and moral values in their life. Dr Sodani believes that he is still learning be it from his students or surroundings, learning has no age limits. You keep learning things from the time you are born.

Dr SD Gupta, Chairperson, IIHMR University believes whatever you are is the contribution of the teacher. teachers are the real mentors who inspire who share the knowledge they have gained through their experience in life. Teacher nit only teaches you but also develop the core values of life. How you can be a useful citizen and how you can contribute to the growth and development of the nation and how you can contribute to the lives of the people. Teachers are the GURU – GU is the darkness RU is the light. Taking people out of the darkness to the light. The role between the teacher and the students has to be played from both sides, the student must reach out to their teacher when needed and the teacher must be willing to guide their students. Most important is to create a culture of learning.

With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and a threat of Delta variant spreading, IIHMR University believed to cherish the auspicious occasion virtually with the teachers of the University. Hence, virtual wishes and greetings were a perfect way to realize the importance of teachers in one’s life, even if you are no longer a school-college going, student. This is because teachers are the bedrock upon which your real instinct, personality and any quality education are built and they are perhaps not everybody but very few people in our lives who elate when we, their students, outdo them.

75th Independence Day Celebrated with a noble cause of tree plantation at IIHMR University, Jaipur

Jaipur: IIHMR University, Jaipur celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2021 in the premises of the University.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the honourable chairperson of IIHMR University, Dr. S.D Gupta and the President of the University, Dr. P.R Sodani; followed by the playing of the National Anthem. The celebration was attended by the faculty and staff members under strict COVID-19 protocols and guidelines as per the Government of India.

Thereafter, Dr. Gupta addressed the gathering and recalled the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and expressed the university’s commitment to work towards realizing the dreams of our founding fathers and the objectives set out by the government and leadership at IIHMR University. He also talked about the present high stature of India in its 75th year of Independence with the milestones it has achieved and challenges it overcome during the current crisis of the pandemic.

Later, Dr. Sodani wished the IIHMR family a very Happy Independence Day and expressed his deepest gratitude towards Dr. Gupta for his presence and his address to the gathering. He also talked about the role of IIHMR University in building ‘New India’ as envisaged by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji and how the University has been on the forefront with its expertise in healthcare systems and management in managing the current pandemic crisis, especially in Rajasthan, and in taking ahead the agenda of adequately managing the pandemic crisis in the state by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot. He also admitted that although he missed the presence of students at the ceremony, but is glad to be able to reach out to them through the virtual means.

Later, the event went ahead with the cultural program set up by IIHMR students and Independence Day Poster Presentation by students through a virtual means to celebrate the spirit of Indian Independence through unity in diversity.

This was followed by the Tree Plantation drive in campus on the occasion of Independence Day, as a part of the Tree Plantation Week celebrated at IIHMR University from August 10-17, 2021. During tree plantation drive; Chairperson and President of the University along with faculty and staff members planted saplings in the IIHMR premises.

The Independence Day celebration and tree plantation was concluded through a thanksgiving speech.

With the help of official social media handles, University reached out to the extended IIHMR family to celebrate 75th Independence Day of India in a virtual manner through a live telecast of the ceremony.

Jaipur: IIHMR University, Jaipur a premier post-graduate research University concluded and declared the winners of Manthan 2021-All India Online Essay Writing competition. The Essay contest was conducted to Commemorate the India’s 75 years of Independence- Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The objective of the contest was to harness the energy, imagination, and creativity of the budding pharmacy professionals in developing an in-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical field and exploring new career avenues in the field of pharmaceutical management.
With the announcement by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Atmanirbhar Bharat the pharmaceutical industry realised the importance of domestic production of APIs and subsequently the entire Pharmaceutical Industry underwent a changeover which brought in new innovations and technological implementations. Realizing these developments in the Pharmaceutical Industry IIHMR University’s primary objective was to intervene and bring out the creative outlook of young professionals, in the form of participation in MANTHAN 2021.

Pharmacy and life sciences graduate and post graduate students across India from various Pharmacy colleges and Universities participated in the essay contest and submitted essays online on the topic mentioned.

Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University while congratulating all the winners and the runners-up, he said, “This writing competition was designed to help out the participants in acknowledging their areas of interest while getting a deeper knowledge of their desired subject. As India celebrates its 75th year of Independence in 2021 – Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav – and to mark the occasion, IIHMR University’s School of Pharmaceutical Management organized MANTHAN 2021 – ‘7th All India Online Essay Contest’ for B.Pharm and M.Pharm graduates and postgraduates. This annual essay contest was organized with an effort to gain better understanding to deal with different emerging ideas and opinions of the Pharmaceutical sector. Dr Sodani further added, Awards, rewards, prizes and scholarships not only give financial assistance to students in further studies but also uplift the morale by boosting them to move ahead in the future. E-Certificates were awarded to the winners and to the candidates, who scored over 50 percent marks in the competition,”

Dr. Saurabh Kumar Banerjee, Dean and Associate Professor and the program coordinator of Manthan 2021 said “In order to excel in the Pharmaceutical Industry the pharmacy students should keep them tuned with the good management practices namely in the areas of Vaccine management, availability, affordability and quality of generic and branded medicines, factors affecting the production and supply chain of API and rational use of medicines in public health and health facilities. The title of the essays were crafted taking into consideration these aspects and students expressed their views in a very expressive manner. School of Pharmaceutical Management expresses gratitude to all the students who participated in the contest and look forward for their participation in the near future also”.
The Winners and Runners-up were drawn from across the Nation who wrote inspiring essays and narratives on the decided medicinal topics. 1 in 10 Patients Harmed While Receiving Hospital Care – WHO

Jaipur: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the last date for the Admission for B-schools to offer admission to the new batch till August 11, 2021. IIHMR University has also extended the last date of admission to 11th August 2021 subject to the availability of seats in each MBA program.IIHMR University announced the first round of the online admission process, which is scheduled for 6th-7th July 2021. University will conduct IIHMR UMAT and GD-PI every week till 11th August to select the students who are interested to join and have applied for MBA programs at IIHMR University.

Dr PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University said, “The pandemic outbreak has struck every aspect of public life, including education. We believe the lack of access to public transport is discouraging more students from reaching their allotted institute to confirm admissions, if shortening the enrolment window hurts the student, the university should make suitable adjustments for them. And therefore, we believe that this extension will be helpful for the students seeking admission.” Dr Sodani further added, “Keeping in mind the Government norms IIHMR University will conduct the GDPI process online ensuring safety measures.”

IIHMR University sees strong placement season amid COVID-19

Jaipur, 12th June 2021: Amidst the Pandemic which has given a halt to normal living, students of IIHMR University, Jaipur have bagged almost 83% placements. With the placement season still on, the university aims to achieve 100% placement by the end of July 2021. The University has placed 216+ students with over 100+ companies during this year. In the placement drive during the year 2020-21, the University witnessed a participation of over 150 companies who hired 216 students across its three programs MBA-HM (Hospital and Health Management), MBA-PM (Pharmaceutical Management) and MBA-DM (under the School of Development Studies). The highest pay package
was 10.5 LPA granted to a student from MBA HM. The highest package offered to a student from MBA-RM was 10.2 LPA, which is the highest in recent times.

The highest CTC was offered to a student from MBA-HM with 10.5 LPA and an average CTC of 5.1 LPA. The CTC offered to a student from MBA-PM was 8.4 LPA with an average CTC of 4.7 LPA and the one from MBA-RM received the highest CTC of 10.2 LPA with an average CTC of 4.1 LPA. The interviews were conducted through a Virtual mode with a selection process of shortlisting of Resume, GD, an Aptitude test, Case Study submission, domain interview and an HR round.

Jaipur: COVID-19 has increased the importance of digital marketing with the number of online users that have increased exponentially. Considering the growing market demand and need to train, IIHMR University shall be conducting a 5-day Faculty Development Program. The program on Digital Marketing shall be conducted online by the Centre for Incubation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIHMR University, Jaipur, sponsored by AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Academy. IIHMR University urges to introduce Management Training Programs this International Nurses Day

Jaipur: COVID-19 has been creating a massive stir in the healthcare sector. Not only has COVID-19’s second wave increased an intense pressure on the healthcare infrastructure, but it has also created strong pressure on the already overworked workforce. According to a WHO, Report India has 37.6 health workers for every 10,000 people. The nurse to the patient ratio is 1:483, which means a shortage of twenty-two million nurses. IIHMR University shared its insights on International Nurses Day today and reminisced the theme “Nurses -the voice to lead a vision for future healthcare 2021”.

Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, said, “Indian nurses have a huge demand in the International Market. India has 5085 institutes that produce 335000 nursing professionals every year. The country has in total 3.2 million nurses and we sense there is still a shortage with only 15 nurses for every 10000 individuals. According to the theme that correctly says, Nurses are a voice to lead a vision for future healthcare of 2021 since they are the sole individuals working on the ground level and understand the ground reality. Indian nurses have tremendous demand in countries such as UAE, UK, USA, Ireland and even Germany.”

Dr. Sodani further expresses, “Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC) in Kerala was sending about 40 nurses every month in countries abroad which increased to six times in February 2020 just after the outbreak of the pandemic. With the rise in the need of the nursing workforce, India has must look at implementing some changes in the nursing curriculum. In addition, management training programs must be incorporated in their curriculum since nurses must also be able to mitigate risks at the ground level and manage them.”

IIHMR University has been correlating this theme and has conducted multiple management development training programs to uplift nurses in society. One of them was the recent training program that has been conducted to train almost 100 Administrative Nursing Cadre for the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The primary objective of this training was to enhance the management and administrative skills of nursing managers and administrators. In addition, the training was planned to make and share great comprehension of various valuable and social skills, needed for conveying top caliber and individuals driven nursing administrations.

Dr. Sodani adds, IIHMR University urges people from hospitals to incorporate management training programs for the hospital staff, including nurses, where they can also contribute to the hospitals’ administrative capabilities. Every staff on the ground for the hospital should be aware of management aspects in running the whole premises through a proper Management Training Program.

The country has in total 3.2 million nurses and we sense there is still a shortage with only 15 nurses for every 10000 individuals. According to the theme that correctly says, Nurses are a voice to lead a vision for future healthcare of 2021 since they are the sole individuals working on the ground level and understand the ground reality. Indian nurses have tremendous demand in countries such as UAE, UK, USA, Ireland and even Germany.”

Dr. Sodani further expresses, “Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC) in Kerala was sending about 40 nurses every month in countries abroad which increased to six times in February 2020 just after the outbreak of the pandemic. With the rise in the need of the nursing workforce, India has must look at implementing some changes in the nursing curriculum. In addition, management training programs must be incorporated in their curriculum since nurses must also be able to mitigate risks at the ground level and manage them.”
IIHMR University has been correlating this theme and has conducted multiple management development training programs to uplift nurses in society. One of them was the recent training program that has been conducted to train almost 100 Administrative Nursing Cadre for the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The primary objective of this training was to enhance the management and administrative skills of nursing managers and administrators. In addition, the training was planned to make and share great comprehension of various valuable and social skills, needed for conveying top caliber and individuals driven nursing administrations.

Dr. Sodani adds, IIHMR University urges people from hospitals to incorporate management training programs for the hospital staff, including nurses, where they can also contribute to the hospitals’ administrative capabilities. Every staff on the ground for the hospital should be aware of management aspects in running the whole premises through a proper Management Training Program.
