Mr. Shabad Ahuja Joins The Lodhi as Director of Food and Beverages

New Delhi, 7th November 2024: The Lodhi, New Delhi, is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Shabad Ahuja as the new Director of Food and Beverages. With over 15 years of dynamic experience in the hospitality sector, Mr. Ahuja is poised to elevate the culinary offerings and guest experiences at the hotel.

In his new role, Mr. Ahuja will oversee all food and beverage operations, leading a talented team to deliver exceptional dining experiences while optimising financial performance and fostering innovative strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.

Mr. Ahuja joins The Lodhi from Annamaya Holdings Ltd., where he served as General Manager at MA-HE Coastal Indian in the United Kingdom. In this role, he was instrumental in developing restaurant concepts, managing pre-opening activities, and implementing successful marketing strategies that significantly increased customer engagement and revenue. Prior to this, he held various key positions at JW Marriott Hotels in Bengaluru and New Delhi, where he excelled in maximising operational efficiency and enhancing guest relations.

His expertise includes pre-opening management, beverage ordering, vendor negotiations, and maintaining high standards of service excellence. Mr. Ahuja holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh.

Some other ingredients everyday food options that keep you warm and healthy:

  • Ghee: It is a healthy fat that includes several essential nutrients and is considered beneficial for overall well-being. Ghee is a part of traditional medical practice and is very helpful in cold and flu. You may add ghee to rice, roti, dal and enjoy its flavour and goodness every day.
  • Spices: Indian spices and their goodness is not unknown to anyone. Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, Haldi, etc have been a part of treatment in Ayurveda for ages and are consumed in several ways. You can add cinnamon in boiling water and have the drink or add it in your masala chai- these spices help you keep warm during the season.
  • Dry Fruits: Dry fruits are rightly considered superfoods. Almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, anjeer, etc are rich in every essential nutrient and can be a great addition to your winter diet. Dried fruits and nuts can be eaten as is or you can add them to your milk, sweets, halwa, etc.

Disrupt, Accelerate and Innovate Key Focus Points of Health Next 2021 – Global Health and Innovation Conference conducted by IIHMR University

The Health Next 2021- Global Health and Innovation Conference is spread across two days conducted by IIHMR University, Jaipur on 11th and 12th January 2021. The conference concluded its first day with the key focus points on innovations in the health care sector, sustainability and integration of these healthcare systems, managing public perceptions, key points on public-private partnerships from the point of view of the state of Rajasthan and their improvisations for apt delivery. The conference had a participation of over 40+ stalwart panellists from iKure, StanPlus/ Red Ambulances, Pharmeasy, NISHTHA/ Jhpiego, Medicover Hospitals, India, Viveo Health, Ai Highway Inc, myresqr.life, TiE Global, Amity Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Startup Oasis. The conference over these two days shall witness the participation of 1000 participants, panellists from 8 plus countries such as Germany, USA, Canada, UK, India etc. The GHIC offered a platform for healthcare start-ups students, alumni or people at large who have a business idea in healthcare, health tech space and want to get it nurtured at the IIHMR University’s Innovation and Incubation Center.
