Union Premier is an exclusive branch banking experience for Union Bank’s esteemed customers in rural and semi-urban (RUSU) markets. Union Bank of India secures 2nd Rank in EASE reforms

New Delhi – January 12th, 2024: Union Bank of India is ranked 2nd for Q2 FY 2023-24 in EASE Reforms Index for adopting reforms prescribed for Public Sector Banks by Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).

Union Bank of India has been excelling in areas related to enabling various digital and digitally assisted journeys for customer convenience, delivering excellence in customer service with digital enablement, leveraging analytics capabilities for personalized offerings & developing people and enhancing HR operations.

The performance of PSBs is measured on 4 Themes under EASE 6.0, in which, Union Bank of India is declared as the Best Bank under the theme “Developing People and Enhancing HR Operations” and 2nd runner up under the theme “Delivering Excellence in Customer Service with Digital Enablement”.

Enhanced Access & Service Excellence (EASE) is an initiative by the DFS (GOI) as part of the PSB Reforms Agenda and is currently under its sixth iteration which focuses on “Customer-friendly banking enabled by modern capabilities”.

Union Bank of India conducts e-RUPI (Prepaid e-Voucher) module Vaccination Drive Under CSR initiative

Hyderabad: Union Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank, today conducted Vaccination Drive at Thane Region through e-RUPI (Prepaid Voucher) module, an innovative digital solution recently introduced by National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) and launched by the honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Union Bank Social Foundation Trust (UBSFT), an extended arm of Union Bank of India which has been in the forefront for carrying out this activity in Thane Region as part of its CSR activities with a aim to provide seamless one-time payment mechanism whereby the Voucher can be redeemed without a Card, Digital Payment App or Internet Banking access.

This e-RUPI is shared with the beneficiaries for a specific purpose i.e. in this case for COVID 19 Vaccination, via SMS or QR code. The major benefits of e-RUPI are:

-End to end digital transaction leading to cost reduction.

-Voucher redemption can be tracked by the issuer.

-Quick, safe and contactless voucher distribution.

-Quick redemption process.

-Lesser decline due to pre-blocked amount.

-No digital or Bank presence required.

At the function held at Bank’s Regional Office premises in Thane today, around 50 beneficiaries were provided with e-RUPI Voucher and vaccinated accordingly.

The dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri Venkatesh M, Managing Trustee, UBSFT, Shri Vivek Kamath, Chief Executive, UBSFT, Shri Rajiv Mishra, Field Genral Manager, Mumbai and Ms Renu Nair, Regional Head, Mumbai (North).

Union Bank of India enters MOU with NSIC

New Delhi– Union Bank of India has entered into MOU with The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) under “NSIC Bank Credit Facilitation Scheme” to support MSMEs with credit requirements.

Under the arrangement the MSME Unit can approach directly to any of NSIC branch offices which are also operating as Finance Facilitation Centre (FFC) and submit their request for loan requirement from Union Bank of India. The official sitting at the NSIC Branch will provide hand holding support to the MSME unit by assisting them in completing all documentation as required for further submission to the Bank. These documents are to be provided by the MSME unit based on the checklist of the Bank. No fee is charged from the MSME unit for applying for loan under this scheme.

The agreement was signed by Shri P K Das, FGM-Delhi on behalf of Union Bank of India and Shri P R Kumar CGM, NSIC.

Vigilance Awareness Week at Union Bank Of India

Union Bank of India is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November on the theme, “Vigilant India, Prosperous India” envisaged by the Central Vigilance Commission.

Various programmes/webinars are scheduled by the Bank for creating awareness among youth, employees, their family members, BCs and the public at large, mostly through online channels.

Extensive use of social media is also being made for wider dissemination of the theme. Across nation Vigilance, Awareness Week will be observed at Branches and offices of Union Bank of India.

Today at Central Office of Union Bank of India, Shri Rajkiran Rai G, Managing Director & CEO administered Integrity Pledge to all the Senior Executives of the Bank through digital mode. On this occasion an e-learning certificate course on Preventive Vigilance was also inaugurated by the MD & CEO.

Union Bank of India bagged the Internet Entrepreneur Awards (For Building Enterprises for a Tech Future – LEARN TECH Awards). This Award was conferred by The Future of Tech Congress & Awards and World Education Congress at a virtual award ceremony held today. Union Bank of India has won this award in the category of “The Best Digital Transformation of a Training Program in response to COVID 19”.
