AVEVA Announces Appointments of Caspar Herzberg as Chief Revenue Officer and Helen Lamprell as General Counsel and Company Secretary

Mumbai, India AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, driving digital transformation and sustainability, has announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointments of Caspar Herzberg as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer, and Helen Lamprell, OBE as General Counsel and Company Secretary. The new appointments, in London and Dubai, strengthen AVEVA’s international footprint and digital transformation capabilities at a time when business relies on interconnected solutions for global workforces. Both leaders bring a wealth of global expertise to AVEVA when they join on November 1.

Herzberg has over two decades of international experience within the technology sector. After seven years at Accenture, where he specialized in supply chain optimization and outsourcing, Herzberg spent ten years at Cisco, where he led sales for mega projects in Saudi Arabia, developed the company’s global smart city strategy, and was global managing director for the emerging solutions advisory business before taking on the position of Vice-President Cisco Consulting Services for Asia Pacific, China, and Japan. For the past five years, he has led Schneider Electric’s business across over 80 countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Raised in Egypt, Herzberg has a degree in Arabic and Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in International Politics from SOAS University of London. He is a Board member of RES4Africa, a non-profit foundation committed to a green energy transition across Africa and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce.

AVEVA will leverage his deep expertise to lead the global sales organization and to strengthen the capabilities of partners around the world. Herzberg, who is fluent in English, Arabic, French and German, will be based in Dubai.

Lamprell studied law at Cambridge University and has over twenty years’ experience in the fields of legal and external affairs. Over seven years at Linklaters, she advised on a broad range of matters ranging from emerging markets equities to hybrid capital. She then enjoyed an action-packed 18-year stint at the Vodafone Group and Vodafone UK, where she was most recently General Counsel & External Affairs Director and member of the UK Board. She led many of Vodafone’s biggest deals in the UK and globally, including the landmark Verizon Wireless transaction, before switching to fixing the UK operations in Vodafone’s historic home where Helen had a broad remit ranging from security to communications.

Lamprell was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2020 New Year’s Honours list for services to business and equality. An advocate for sustainability and diversity, she is currently a non-executive director at the Low Carbon Contracts Company and the Electricity Settlements Company, sister organizations jointly owned by the UK Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy. She remains a director of the not-for profit Employer’s Initiative on Domestic Abuse, and a member of the UK government’s Women’s Business Council.

Lamprell will be based in London and will lead AVEVA’s legal and company secretarial function globally as the organization builds on synergies from the recent acquisition of OSIsoft.

Celebrate wellness & health at Express Avenue…

Chennai: Express Avenue Chennai’s award winning fashion and entertainment mall has taken initiative to host second edition of wellness fest curated by The Divine Sparks & Sunita Agarwal. The objective of this three-day wellness fest is to spread Wellness and encourage a holistic approach to like for taking care of one’s wellbeing.

This fest will also unveil a plethora of healing modalities for the body, mind emotions & energies experiential sessions. It will be held on 19th, 20th and 21st of February from 11 AM – 9PM at the Central Atrium.

Express Avenue welcomes Spanish fashion brand MANGO to its premises

Chennai: Express Avenue Mall, Chennai’s premium award-winning fashion and entertainment mall recently opened its doors to the Spanish fashion brand- MANGO. The store is 2000 sq ft in size located on ground floor of the mall.

MANGO is an internationally famous multinational, which designs, manufactures and markets women’s and men’s clothing and accessories.

Commenting on the launch, Munish Khanna, Chief Revenue Officer, Express Avenue, said, “We are glad to have MANGO on board. It has been our endeavour to give our customers the power of making quality choices. Express Avenue has been in the forefront in getting the best of the brands in the city first. The authorities and staff at Express Avenue ensure that all the social distancing norms are diligently followed. As a process since opening, all the regular touch points are frequently sanitized by the malls. Sanitizers have been placed at vantage points across Express Avenue and temperature monitoring for customers is must. A help-desk/ first-aid point has also been set up for customers.

Express Pongal festival extended on popular demand

Express Avenue Mall’s ‘Express Pongal Festival’- An event filled with music, fun activities, and an endless shopping spree on The Day 3 received such an overwhelming response that the mall authorities have extended the celebration till 12th January 2020, adding to days of celebration.

An exhibit of stalls was set-up where patrons could buy handmade products from small artisans and support them. The products by artisans include Clay Products, Brass Handicrafts, Tanjore Art, Handmade Decor, Mats, Daris, Snacks and Chutneys. The customers enjoyed every bit of the fest and the atmosphere was reverbing with excitement.

As the year’s first big cultural event, the entertainment quotient was 100%. The Pongal musical delight included Carnatic Conversation Performances. There was a Parrot card reader and Kai Joisam stall. The fest also had a live pottery making session, which received great response. Customers enthusiastically participated in the Rangoli making competition and Pot decoration competition. Prizes were given to the best Rangolis and decorated pots.

Devika Dayal appointed Chief Revenue Officer, The Quint

The Quint, one of India’s fastest-growing pure-play digital news platforms, announced the elevation of Devika Dayal, National Revenue Head, to the position of Chief Revenue Officer with immediate effect.

With a little over two decades of experience in ad sales, Devika has been instrumental in driving the client-facing ad sales unit and optimizing revenue growth by two folds in the last three years, at The Quint. In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing all activities that generate revenue at The Quint.

Devika was a part of the ITV Network as COO NewsX before joining The Quint. She spent close to 10 years at Network18, first as Region Head (North), CNN-IBN, and rose to Senior Vice President and National Revenue Head, HISTORY TV18. She was also a part of the leadership team that launched History TV18 in India in October 2011. Her early stints in the media industry were at Discovery Communications India & Zee Network.
