Supplementing India’s fast-growing manufacturing sector across industries, the 14th edition of the International Exhibition and Conference on Minerals, Metals, Metallurgy & Materials (MMMM) will be held at India International Convention & Expo Centre – IICC, Yashobhoomi, New Delhi from 27 – 29 Sep 2024. This trade fair will provide an excellent opportunity for interacting with luminaries from practically all corners of the globe, promoting business and giving a fillip to the growth & development of Minerals, Metals, Metallurgy, and Materials sectors in the country through joint ventures, bulk deals, alliances, investments and technology transfer. The amalgam of these expos makes it an extended platform for metal, engineering, manufacturing, and machine tools segments and showcases the strength and innovations of the Indian & international manufacturing and technology sector.

The combined events have consistently received global recognition and have been acknowledged as the premier international business platform in India featuring more than 300 exhibitors from over 10 countries and attracting 12000+ buyers from the south Asian region. The event is organized in association with the Indian Institute of Metals – Delhi Chapter and with the active support from World Metal Forum (WMF).

“One of the key sectors that has the potential to boost women’s workforce participation, is the STEM industry. While 43%of STEM graduates are women, they make up only 28% of the STEM workforce. Moreover, women drop out of the workplace due to childbirth, childcare and elder care. Consequently, only 3 percent of women hold CEO posts in the STEM Industry. While research has established that improving women’s workforce participation can boost India’s GDP by 27%, more women in STEM would set the stage for inclusive innovation and solution designs that are equitable for all. Women have historically been underrepresented in STEM, yet they bring invaluable perspectives and ideas to these fields. The event also provided a platform for knowledge exchange, mentorship, collaboration, further strengthening the presence and influence of women in the STEM field.

The conference hosted in the hybrid mode –saw an attendance of over 3000 women at the on-ground event, while there were over 2000 attendees virtually. Companies opened up jobs from entry-level to senior-level positions across India – Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Madurai and Coimbatore.

Rashi Jain comes with over 15 years of industry experience in global supply chain management, logistics and procurement across the manufacturing and automotive verticals. Rashi is an alumna of BITS Pilani and worked in diverse roles in the US and Asia Pacific after her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, USA. As the Managing Director at Fourkites India, Rashi will lead strategic capabilities for India operation and execute strategic imperatives that are integral to achieving FourKites’ vision of connecting global supply chains.

Sriram Nagaswamy started his Engineering career in Chennai over 20 years ago, and he has deep experience in all facets of the industry, from signal processing, video compression and computer vision, to machine learning and SaaS delivery. As vice president of Engineering at FourKites, Sriram is currently responsible for product delivery, data science and empowering his team with growth opportunities and platforms to showcase their innovative work to global audiences. In his previous role at Samsung Research Institute, Sriram worked with multiple engineering teams across the globe to deliver some of the most-used computer vision/machine learning-based features in the Samsung Galaxy flagship mobile phones.
