Draw your Dreams CHILDREN’S DAY 2024 celebration at Fund A Child In India (FCI)

Bengaluru, November 20, 2024: Fund a Child in India celebrated Children’s Day with the underprivileged children at Wonderla Parks & Resorts, Bangalore on 17th November 2024 through its Annual Event “DRAW YOUR DREAMS” – Drawing Competition, a platform created for the school kids coming from slums to come together onto a single platform and exhibit their talents & skills by drawing their dreams.

303 children studying in 5th to 10th Grades from NGOs namely Ark of Rainbow, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, ECHO Foundation, and Samarthanam drew their dreams. The raw talent and creativity of these young artists were truly inspiring. The event, held in a lively amusement park, provided a joyful atmosphere that further enhanced the children’s creativity. We had over 60 volunteers in the event.

Delhi-based NGO Celebrates Children’s Day with the Underprivileged

New Delhi: On the occasion of Children’s Day, to spread happiness amongst underprivileged children, Delhi-based NGO, Wishes and Blessings commemorated the Day in a distinctive way by organizing a magic show for the street children living in Madipur village in West Delhi. The NGO also executed various other activities like indoor games, quiz sessions, and organized special treats in different centres across Delhi/NCR.

“Due to unavailability and inaccessibility of resources, underprivileged children are not able to rejoice and cherish their childhood, which passes by quickly! By organizing kids-friendly events like a magic show, we aim to let these disadvantaged children have a moment to enjoy their childhood. What might seem to be something regular to us is a luxury for these children!” says Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, Founder & President of Wishes and Blessings.

The Wishes and Blessings core team organized this magic show for the street dwelling children of Madipur, West Delhi on account of Children’s Day. The team also executed special treats for destitute children across their various centres in Delhi/NCR. The team commemorated this day on 13 November 2021.

Most of these children do not even know that a day has been dedicated to celebrate them and their childhood! Amway sparks creativity in young minds by hosting virtual events to celebrate Children’s day

Amway India, one of the country’s leading FMCG direct selling companies, commemorated Children’s Day for the 12th consecutive year. The annual celebrations were hosted virtually across India with its 12 NGO partners as part of Amway India’s CSR program- Project Sunrise. Through this program, Amway supports the overall well-being of underprivileged children by providing them access to education, health and hygiene. Furthermore, Amway through its ‘Power of 5 Campaign’ is relentlessly working towards the cause of malnourishment in the children under the age of 5 years. The campaign focusses on bringing in the much-needed awareness and behavioural shift in mothers, caregivers and communities at large.

Embracing the new normal this year, Amway conducted the celebrations virtually with the aim to bring children together while maintaining social distancing. From workshops on Indian painting and cultural performances to virtual salad dressing and debate competitions along with story-telling sessions, Amway India organised several interactive activities that were geared towards empowering and encouraging the young ones.

In Delhi, Amway, in association with Deepalaya, encouraged and engaged the children to virtually participate in activities like Diya painting, pot painting, thumb painting, clay activity and have a fun-filled memorable Children’s Day. The event concluded with exciting gifts for all the participants.
