Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. plans further expansion of dealership network; Inaugurates new dealership in Dhanbad

2020|DHANBAD, INDIA – To meet the growing demand and popularity for its range of Jawa motorcycles in India, Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. is all set to expand its retail footprint across the country. Beginning a new round of dealership inaugurations, the company announced its new Jawa Motorcycles showroom in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

Since the launch of the brand in November 2018, Classic Legends has worked extensively to register a nationwide presence with a strong dealer network across the length and breadth of the country. The company established 100 dealerships in the first phase in a record time of 100 days, a remarkable achievement for any automobile manufacturer in the country.

The further network expansion marks the brand’s intentions of making inroads into more cities across India to get closer to Jawa aficionados, offering more touchpoints for them to experience the Jawa life.

This new outlet in Dhanbad takes the total count of Jawa dealerships in the country to 106across India, with many more slated to start operations in the coming few months. This new dealership establishes the brand’s presence in three cities in the state, after Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

The new showroom is open at the following location:

• SATNAM INC., B P AGARWALLA BUILDING, POST DHANSAR, P.S. BANK MORE, DHANBAD – 828106
Classic Legends has resumed operations across its entire existing dealership network following safety protocols as prescribed by national and local authorities, as lockdown is relaxed in the country. With the Perak deliveries, the existing network has opened with a renewed vigour. The network expansion strengthens the brand’s commitment of standing by its customers and offering them an unparalleled ownership experience.

The Jawa dealership concept

The Jawa dealership is a place to make connections with yourself, with like-minded people and with the motorcycles. Its design philosophy is rooted in authenticity, and the ability to bridge the past and the present through its stories and motorcycles. It is a biker café ambience which tells the tale of the legend that Jawa is.

Space captures the nostalgia of a golden era which celebrated honesty of materials & craftsmanship through its dark polished wood fixtures, subtle inlays, raw textures and vintage oxblood upholsteries. At the same time, the motorcycles infuse a contemporariness in the showroom with their modern interpretation of classic design, loaded with the latest in engine technology and features. The various elements have been designed to present the contemporary classic Jawa motorcycles amidst a visual narrative layer of legendary stories and monochrome lifestyle imagery. Whether it is the large community table setting for free-flowing conversations, the carefully curated bookshelf for the curious reader, or the Classic Rock in the background for the music lover; space makes everyone feel easy, whether a hard-core motorcyclist or a millennial looking to immerse into the world of motorcycling.

Range of Jawa Motorcycles

Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. recently began the deliveries of Jawa Perak, its flagship model across the country. Perak has been one of the most anticipated motorcycles of 2020. It is a motorcycle reminiscing the past, yet far ahead of its time. Designed and developed as a factory custom embodying the spirit of ‘Stealth, Vigilante and Dark’, the BSVI compliant machine is a true bobber in spirit and form with ‘bobbed’ fenders, chopped exhaust and a floating seat. India’s first Factory Custom is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC engine, producing 30.64 PS of power and 32.74 Nm of torque, breathing out through signature twin Jawa exhausts chopped for the authentic bobber stance.

Sharing the showroom floor with the Jawa Perak are the recently introduced BSVI variants of Jawa and Jawa forty-two with a host of enhancements that are aimed at making the riding experience of the modern classics a whole lot better. The biggest change comes in the mechanical front. Both Jawa and Jawa forty-two continue to sport the 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, but it now features India’s first cross port technology that increases the volumetric efficiency of the engine by enabling better flow of charge and exhaust gases, thus improving power and torque output. This engine is the world’s first single-cylinder engine that uses the cross-port configuration and develops similar power and torque to the BS4 configuration to offer the same superior riding experience to the customer. This tech also helps the motorcycles retain their characteristic twin exhaust identity and meet the stricter BS-VI emission standards while retaining similar power and torque numbers.

The seat has been reengineered with a new seat pan as well as cushioning translating to more comfort over longer rides. In the cosmetic department, the chrome plating now comes with the backing of rigorous testing rated at two and a half times the industry standard. Both Jawa models continue to sport best in class braking systems equipped with (single & dual channel) ABS by Continental, offering shortest braking distance and best control among its competitors. In addition, there have been a host of changes under the skin right from the tone of the horn to a slicker gearshift.

To help bikers give in to temptation more easily, the Jawa Perak is also available with a range of easy finance options. Each Finance Options on offer across Jawa dealerships has something unique. A few highlights are:

• 50% off on first 3 EMIs
• Special EMI plan @ Rs. 6,666/month
• EMI plans as low as Rs. 8,000 @ 2years and Rs. 6,000 @ 3years
• 100% funding | Zero down payment | No income proof required. (T&C apply)
Classic Legends Pvt Ltd also announced an industry-first motorcycle exchange program across all its dealerships through Mahindra First Choice Wheels – India’s No. 1 pre-owned vehicle brand. This will allow interested customers to walk into the dealership with any old bike and get it exchanged for a brand new Jawa.

The company will also be offering the largest number of financial tie-ups with best in class finance schemes for its customers. The list of financial partners includes HDFC Bank, Tata Capital, ICICI Bank, Mahindra Finance, Capital First (now IDFC Bank), L&T Finance Limited and Hinduja Leyland Finance at the national level in addition to regional partners.

Adani ranked as the largest solar power generation owner in the world

The latest ranking of global solar companies by Mercom Capital ranks the Adani Group as the #1 global solar power generation asset owner in terms of operating, under construction and awarded solar projects. Adani’srenewable energy portfolio exceeds the total capacity installed by the entire United States solar industry in 2019 and will displace over 1.4 billion tons of carbon dioxide over the life of its assets. The group is one of the most fully integrated solar players in the world, manufacturing solar cells and modules, undertaking project development, construction, financial structuring and owning and operating its assets through its robust internal asset management platform.

Adani Ranking by Mercom

The growth story of AGEL mirrors the global growth story of Renewable Energy following the audacious promise made by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi at the COP 21 International Solar Alliance meeting held in Paris in December 2015. His vision foresaw India accelerating towards a rapid transition to Renewable Power. This is now manifested by the fact that India is one of just six nations and by far the largest that is on track to meet the COP21 goals.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL)established its first solar project in 2015 and even as recently as 2017 the Company had completed just two solar projects. The Company went public (NSE: ADANIGREEN) in 2018 and has accelerated its presence to reach the current milestone of being the largest solar player in the world in a short span of just 5 years, with a target to achieve an installed generation capacity of 25GWacof renewable power by 2025.

In response to this ranking, Mr. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group said: “Achieving this ranking is a direct result of our commitment to creating the infrastructure needed for a clean-powered future. While we are pleased to be ranked the largest solar player in the world, we recognize that there is a lot more that remains for us to do as the world transitions into an increasingly decarbonized energy landscape. We anticipate that over the next decade several existing business models will be impacted as a result of the disruption caused by the intersection of plummeting cost of renewable energy and the ability of technology to rescale industries.

We expect our renewable energy platform will create new possibilities for our core business and we will be able to address some of the most intractable problems that humankind has faced, including affordable decentralized energy, availability of distributed clean water, green hydrogen as an alternate fuel, and micro agriculture, among others. Building partnerships with major industrials, data centre providers, and global integrated energy players that seek to reduce their carbon footprints will also continue to further accelerate our growth. AGEL was launched just five years ago, our story is only beginning”.

AGELalso achieved the top spot in the global ranking in terms of under construction and awarded capacity with 10.1 GW of projects, making it the definitive leader in mega-scale renewable energy project deployments. As India pushes to invite more global business partners to invest domestically, it sees its growing renewable footprint as helping companies simultaneously fulfil two essential goals: tapping into one of the fastest-growing consumer markets and achieving their sustainability targets. The Adani Group has positioned itself at this intersection to help its partners attain both these objectives.

FLO Hyderabad launches Tirumani – Cheriyal Nakashi Chitrakala, a social outreach program, to support the 400 years old craft

Tirumani

FLO Hyderabad Chapter announced a major social outreach initiative to promote the 400 years old Craft form of Cheriyal, which is unique to Telangana State. Today it is under the threat of fading out because of its declining popularity. The art form has only 16 practitioners across 7 families currently.

Organising the artisans under a brand, creating marketing material, marketing linkages, raw material procurement at more affordable costs and product innovation are some of the ways in which FLO Hyderabad is helping the craftisans.

The brand ‘Tirumani’, named after the gum used to create Cheriyal art, and a catalogue of products was launched at the virtual event which also saw a discussion on the Survival and Revival of Indian handicrafts. FLO Hyderabad was successful in placing the products on ‘Weavesmart’ an award-winning eCommerce platform for weaves and crafts.

Tirumani 3

‘Our vision’, Usharani Manne, FLO Hyderabad Chairperson said, ‘is to ensure that more traditional artisans come back to the fold, throughout sustained efforts to create better market linkages and assistance in product innovation.’

‘Tirumani is our small offering to the artisan community of Cheriyal’, Usharani declared while launching the logo.

FLO member and coordinator for the project Monica Bhandula shared more details and their plan of action about Tirumani.

‘Our effort now, to create new market linkages for them in order to make Cheriyal a sustainable livelihood generator would be futile without professionalizing their approach to marketing. And branding is the first step in this direction’, said Priya Gazdar.

Nishita Manne announced that Tirumani will be placed on Weavesmart, a crafts and artisans aggregating platform. She also explained how it works.

Besides this, FLO has also adopted the surrounding villages of Cheriyal as part of Adopt a Village, a national initiative, said Usharani.

FLO, she adds, aims to facilitate growth and transformation in the lives of women in the villages. The objective is to empower women in rural India, thereby eradicating poverty and unemployment. That is why we are adopting a village in the rural sector, she said.

In the conversation, ‘The Handmade Life 2: Survival & Revival of Indian Handicrafts’, domain experts shared their valuable perspectives and insights.

Participating in the conversation, Siva Devireddy, CEO of GoCoop said, ‘Crafts have utmost relevance now than ever before. Both Life and Livelihood are important. India is an Agrarian Economy.

’Craftspeople form the second largest employment sector in India, second only to agriculture. Handicrafts are rightly described as the craft of the people: they’re said to be twenty-five million craftspeople in India today and the number varies from source to source, he said.

Many Art and Craft forms cease to exist. They are vanishing. More than 60% of artists earn less than Rs 5000/- a month, which is far lower than minimum wages, he shared. Artists, Siva Devireddy said, need to live a dignified life. Indian Crafts have great potential. India’s rich cultural diversity and heritage provide a unique and huge resource for developing craft products. The Indian Handicraft Industry is said to be a $100 billion industry worldwide. India’s contribution in the world market is just 1.2%

Speaking about digital adoption he said digital has a profound effect on Artisans. COVID accelerated online adoption. More youngsters from generation next are showing interest to get into crafts sector because of the sector’s quick adoption of digitization.

Sharing about, GoCoop, Siva Devireddy said, GoCoop is India’s first national award-winning marketplace which connects artisans, weaver co-operatives and clusters directly with consumers across the world. We enable sustainable livelihoods for artisans by ensuring fair prices for them, and authentic handlooms and crafts to customers’, he said.

Joining in the conversation, Sudha Rani M, CEO of Abhihaara Social Enterprise shared, that they link the cotton growers with the handloom weavers and the craft artisans, with a focus on building skills and capacities in women.

Sudha talked about Alambana App, launched by KT Rama Rao and developed in partnership with the State government, UNDP and Abhihaara to provide skills training and create market linkages and new opportunities for weavers.

Representing Cheriyal Craft community, Sai Kiran, fourth-generation Cheriyal Master Craftsman shared their plight. He urged three things—Manpower, Marketing and Product Design support from Government and Social Enterprises and organizations like FLO.

Giving her opening remarks Usharani Manne, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad Chapter said the beauty of the Indian crafts is much deeper than aesthetics. It is its close connection with our hyper-local cultures.

Setting the context for the day’s conversation, FLO Honorary Secretary, Priya Gazdar, said, according to the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts report on Cultural Mapping of India, ‘due to rapid change in lifestyle, ageing, and negligence, the vast repertoire of knowledge and wisdom that sustained and nurtured the Indian handicraft community, is fast disappearing’.

She further added the clarion call is for us to take a serious look at our crafts culture. With more than 3,000 craft forms in the country, the right support and a conducive business environment can make the craft sector a billion-dollar marketplace across the globe, exemplifying all that is best about Made in India.

Speaking about Cheriyal artisans, Priya said, no concrete effort seems to have been made to organise them into a brand. The USP is already there. Their art is so unique. The IP is being created non-stop. They are even innovating in terms of product line and materials

The idea of ‘Tirumani’ is to create an instant visual and cerebral association in the consumers’ minds. Therefore we made sure that the look is consistent with the traditional colours and motifs. All the marketing communication – offline or online – will carry a consistent brand look and story, aiding top of the mind recall for consumers.

Why pre-marital counseling is essential and how does AMH Test play a role By Dr. Ritu Hinduja, Fertility Consultant, Nova IVF Fertility Mumbai

It may be the right time that couples should think about both, pre and post-marital counselling. Though the couple may think that the counselling is unnecessary, the outcome could make them feel otherwise. Counselling is a good way to resolve all your relationship issues along with planning your timeline of steps towards starting a family. Yes, you have heard it right!

Chalking out a roadmap for when to plan a child makes you feel empowered as a couple, and it is easier than you think. Two very simple tests can help you plan your parenthood and that is a blood AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) level in women and semen analysis in men.

Everything about the Anti-Mullerian Hormone Test:

In women egg reserves decline with age, this is known as their biological clock. AMH testing is a way for couples to get a sense of the reproductive span, thus helping in smart planning of conception

AMH Test is a test that is an indicator of a woman’s ovarian reserve. The level of AMH gives insights into the remaining quantity of eggs and where a woman stands on her fertility graph. AMH testing involves a simple blood test that can be done at any time of the month, as the levels of AMH do not change with the menstrual cycle.

Did you know? The AMH blood test can be done even if you are using oral contraceptives.

Why pre-marital counselling is essential and how does AMH Test plays a role:

Many couples seek pre-marital counselling to test their compatibility. For couples, today fertility parameters are as important as emotional factors before tying the knot and thus AMH along with a semen analysis can be the perfect test. Understanding your AMH levels can help to assess your ovarian egg reserve and therefore your fertility. However, we know fertility declines as we age so it’s important that women understand their fertility and what the current tests and treatments can and can’t do for them. Considering we now live in a society where late marriages are a norm which ultimately translates into a delay in starting a family, AMH Testing helps in providing information on reproductive years left for the couple.

Career-oriented women tend to delay many aspects of their personal life while chasing their professional dreams. Increasing age means a decrease in ovarian reserve, this can prove to be a roadblock in attaining motherhood. A simple blood test lets a woman know her ovarian reserve within a matter of hours. Therefore, if you get your AMH levels tested at a younger age, you will have a better idea of your reproductive health. An AMH test can also help couples decide if they want to put their embryos on ice while they pursue other achievements on their timelines. It can also guide women who do not have a steady partner or are not married to decide to freeze their eggs thereby freezing their fertility in time so that when they do find a partner they can use their frozen eggs and plan a pregnancy thereby breaking free of the deleterious effects of ageing on reproductive outcomes.

When to opt for the AMH test?

AMH can be done at any time in the menstrual cycle, as your AMH levels are stable throughout the cycle. It is a marker for ovarian (egg) reserve and is assessed via an AMH blood test. It is imperative to understand that AMH is just an indicator of a woman’s fertility and does not guarantee a pregnancy. Women opting for AMH testing should consult with her fertility expert or gynaecologist to discuss the way forward.

Take-home message: AMH does not guarantee pregnancy in the future. However, it does make a woman more educated about her fertility. If your AMH levels are low and do not meet the mentioned criteria, then you need to speak to your doctor and act accordingly. Your doctor will then suggest a suitable way forward for you.

A series of talent hunts in five categories have been launched: Dance, Singing, Comedy, Fashion and Business. Creators who garner the maximum points get to win Rs.1 lakh every month. The AI-powered app is integrated with technology that is built and tested by various partners for enterprise-grade security.
