Saregama inks a global licensing deal with the world-renowned social video platform, Triller

Chennai: Saregama, one of India’s largest music labels, has announced a global music licensing deal with widely popular short format video platform, Triller. As part of this deal, Saregama will license its entire catalogue to Triller allowing users to create innovative content using the robust music library of over 1,30,000 songs in diverse Indian languages like Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi and Gujarati, amongst many others.

The coming together of Saregama and Triller will empower the content architects with the prowess of music that has been adored by generations globally.

A melting pot of all things nostalgia and music, Saregama’s large repository entails a rich collection bejewelled with Bollywood songs, Devotional music, Ghazals, to name a few, in more than 25 languages while featuring classics from legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Gulzar, Jagjit Singh, R.D Burman, Kalyanji Anandji, Geeta Dutt , Laxmikant Pyarelal or new songs from popular artistes like B Praak, Badshah amongst many others .

Users of Josh, India’s fastest growing and most engaged short-video app today, can now access old and new songs from the Saregama library with over 1,30,000 songs to create innovative content.  As part of this deal, Saregama will license its entire catalogue to Josh allowing users to create content inspired from its robust music library in diverse Indian languages like Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi and Gujarati, amongst many others.

Mumbai, 10 September 2020: ShareChat announced a global licensing deal with Saregama, one of India’s largest music labels today that would allow for its users to create amazing new content and add to their social experience on the ShareChat and Moj platforms.

As part of this deal, Saregama will license its large catalogue to both platforms allowing for the large community of ShareChat and Moj members to create their own short video content using the Saregama library. The robust music library offers thousands of songs in diverse Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Bhojpuri amongst many others.
