Growel’s 101 Mall Had Grand Celebrations To Mark Retail Employees’ Day (RED) 2021

Growel’s 1O1 Mall organized two days of fun-filled celebrations to mark Retail Employees Day (RED) 2021. The festivities were extended to all the Retailers, Brands, F&B partners operating in the mall and its customers.

Each retail employee/associate was welcomed with a Rose and a Chocolate at the staff entry points as they reported to work on December 12, 2021. The mall leadership addressed all employees with encouragement & motivation to acknowledge their hardships and resilience in helping the management towards sales recovery. The recently opened employees recreational area was decorated for the occasion and fun activities were hosted for all retail associates. Activities included fun games like tambola, musical chairs, bombarding the city, fun and dance, along with cake cutting.

Furthermore, the mall management team visited every outlet at the mall to present the associates with pleasantries and taking group pictures in a special cut-out to mark the day and express gratitude.

Flash Mob for Road Safety Awareness

Mumbai, February 9, 2020: Supporting the Road Safety Month initiative, Growel’s 1O1 Mall in Kandivali organised a fun-filled Flash Mob performance by NGO We Can We Will Foundation to create awareness in a fun way about avoiding road mishaps. Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest of the evening was Senior Police Inspector Mahadev Jadhav. The event was also attended by authorities from the traffic department of the Mumbai Police.

The shoppers at the mall were entertained and educated at the same time about the initiative as kids from the We Can We Will Foundation put up an electrifying performance on peppy tunes of songs like Samjo Ishaare dil yeh pukaare, Galti se Mistake, and Ae bhai zara dekh ke chalo.

According to the latest Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) report on Road Crashes in 2019, on an average around 1,230 road crashes and 414 deaths took place daily on Indian roads in 2019, which translates into 51 crashes and loss of 17 lives every hour.

Growel’s 1O1 Mall is strictly adhering to all the SoPs laid down by the Government authorities and has further enhanced the protocols of the New Normal with further improvements to the cleaning and pest control standards.

Growel’s 1O1 mall has ensured that from the entry points of the mall to within the mall till the exit is made 100% safe for their staff and customers. There will be mandatory checks for the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app at the entry points. Enhanced procedures at the entry points include UV lights in the baggage scanners for disinfecting and hand sanitizing stations are placed at the entry points and at various touchpoints across the mall.

Special thermal cameras have been installed to track footfalls and movement throughout the mall to ensure that there is only 1 person in every 75 square foot as mandated by the authorities.

From entry to exit the mall has been made contactless at all touchpoints with the automation of the Parking Entry Ticket Dispenser & contactless digital payments for parking, QR-code based food ordering, sensor-based contactless lift operations, contactless soap dispensers, sensor-based taps, contactless water spouts, among others.

For COVID-19 emergencies the mall has facilitated isolation rooms, Ambulance and Doctor on-call service, and formally trained First Aid Certified front line staff members for handling emergencies in every shift.

Moreover, a specially trained staff force has been formed that will assist and guide customers to follow the Do’s and Don’ts one of the new norms within the mall. This specially trained staff will be stationed at various checkpoints in the mall.
