Five students of Aakash Institute Mumbai score an impressive 99 percentile and above in the third session of JEE Mains 2021

Mumbai: Five students of Aakash Institute in Mumbai have made the institute and Maharashtra proud by scoring an impressive 99 percentile and above in the third session of the JEE Mains 2021 Examination. The results were announced by the National Testing last night. This was the third out of the four Joint entrance exams for Engineering scheduled to be held this year.

The students who have scored 99 percentile and above are Rohan Anand Nafde, Mayank Jha, Aditya Mandal, Om Desai and Pranav Guruprasad Rao.

The students joined Aakash Institute in a two-year classroom programme to crack IIT JEE, considered the world’s toughest entrance exam. They attributed their entry into the elite list of top percentiles in JEE to their efforts in understanding the concepts, and their strict adherence to their learning schedule. “We are grateful that Aakash Institute has helped us with both. But for the content and coaching from the institute, We would not have grasped many concepts in different subjects in a short period of time,” they said.

Congratulating the students, Mr. Aakash Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), said, “We congratulate all the five students for their exemplary feat. Over 7 lakh students registered for the third session of JEE Main 2021 from across the country. Their achievement as top percentile scorer speaks volumes of their hard work and dedication as well as the support of their parents. We wish them all the best with their future endeavors.”

He added that during the pandemic-hit academic years, Aakash Institute walked the extra mile to turn students into top percentile scorers in JEE. “We stepped up our digital presence to be always available for our students. We made study materials, and question banks accessible online. We conducted several virtual motivational sessions and seminars on exam preparation and time management skills. It is heartening to see our efforts paying off, as evident from the score sheets of our students, many of whom are well on their way to get admission in a top IIT or NIT or a central government’s engineering college to pursue higher studies of their choice.”

JEE (Main) is conducted in four sessions so as to give multiple opportunities for students to improve their scores. While JEE Advanced is only for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), JEE Main is for admission to several National Institute of Technologies (NITs) and other centre-aided engineering colleges in India. Students must appear for JEE Main to sit for JEE Advanced.

Hyderabad/New Delhi: The emergence of the devastating second wave of Covid-19 has had a profound impact on the personal lives of millions across the country. Employees are finding it emotionally draining to align work with personal grief and the uncertainties ahead.

Teachers nurture the future of nation and at AESL it is our responsibility to keep them safe and empower them to attain the best possible learning outcomes in their classrooms. Aakash Educational Services Limited Launches NCERT Maps for Medical Aspirants to Enable Them Score Well in NEET

Mumbai, April 19, 2021: Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), the national leader in test preparatory services, has launched NCERT Maps, a series of compact and concise study material for medical students to effectively and quickly revise the syllabus from the relevant National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) books in order to score well in the prestigious National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam.

AESL’s NCERT Maps are now available for Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. All chapters of the NCERT Maps are accompanied with good quality NCERT-based Multiple Choice Questions and Fill in the Blanks sections to sharpen the students’ understanding. The NCERT Maps are highly useful also for CBSE/ School board exams.

Commenting on the launch of NCERT Maps, Mr. Aakash Chaudhry, Managing Director, AESL said, “Though hard work is important to crack NEET exams, what can make a huge difference is the approach, strategy, and tools of preparation. As far as NEET is concerned, more than 90% of the questions are based on the NCERT books. To obtain top score, students need to revise NCERT books at least 10-15 times. However, mastering NCERT can be a big challenge, as NCERT text books contain thousands of pages, hundreds of formulae, derivations and problems. Hence, students are hard pressed for time to revise such long and bulky syllabuses. NCERT Maps are born of our efforts to devise a simpler, quicker and more achievable way to help students study, revise salient and unique features of every lesson in the NCERT books.

Mr. Chaudhry added, “With constant innovation and creativity, we are bringing out these well-researched and most relevant study materials with advancements in academic delivery methodology. We are very confident that NCERT Maps will help students in preparing well for NEET and getting an edge over their competitors.

Some of the features of NCERT Maps are:

  1. NCERT Maps serve as a step-wise/level-wise learning tool for every subject and help students discard rote learning and move on to concept based learning, including application of the concepts and attempt corresponding analytically framed questions too.
  2. The books enable focused and impactful learning through flowcharts and diagrams. The content brings clarity with respect to the terms used in NCERT and implied meanings.
  3. With NCERT Maps, students will be able to learn the core of every chapter in a succinct manner, as the chapters are covered through brief points, important definitions and important formulae required for competitive exams.
  4. These study materials come with assessment questions for concept assimilation at the end of each lesson along with answers and corresponding page references.
  5. They establish a better understanding and conceptual form of learning by interlinking various concepts from different chapters.
  6. The NCERT Maps help students solve straight forward and formulae based questions, a pattern followed by 75% of questions asked in NEET.

All these make NCERT Maps an invaluable tool for NEET aspirants to get a head start on effective preparation in a relatively less time.

Budget 2021: Opens A New Chapter in India’s Education Sector

By Mr. Aakash Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL)

“Coming in the wake of an ongoing pandemic, the Union Budget 2021-22 is a balanced and progressive Financial Bill that has done a commendable job of paying equal and adequate attention to all the key areas of development such as health and well-being, education, physical and financial capital, infrastructure, inclusive development for aspirational India, reinvigorating human capital, innovation and R&D.

The overarching promise and the overall direction set by this visionary budget is minimum government and maximum governance.

The Finance Minister has given a big boost to the implementation of the National Education Policy 2019 with several measures. Notable among them is the creation of an ‘umbrella’ structure for central higher education institutions in various cities. This will go a long way in creating standards, monitoring, and ensuring quality of pedagogy in higher education in the country. The government has demonstrated its commitment to qualitatively strengthen over 15,000 schools – as proposed in the new Education Policy.

The long term demand for opening more Sainik Schools across the country is finally met with the proposal of setting up 100 such schools across the country. Another highly appreciable move is to allow women to work in night shifts with adequate protection. The government is all for simplifying the compliance for companies in this regard. This is going to pave the way for more participation of women in the workforce in the organized sector and, to that extent, going to serve as an incentive for girls to pursue higher education and enter the world of work after graduation, which is not the case with most of the female graduates today.

The announcement to set up 750 Eklavya schools will no doubt speed up the mainstreaming of children from tribal communities, which is the need of the hour.

Other measures that will go a long way in scaling up higher education in the country are setting up of the National Language Translation Mission to translate policy-related information that will be available on the internet in regional languages; regional national institutes for virology; amending the Apprenticeship Act and a central University in Leh.

Budget 2021 is opening a new chapter in India’s education system and we welcome it wholeheartedly.”
