Moon Township, PA: Bactronix, a science-based microbial control company headquartered in Pennsylvania, has seen explosive growth since its latest franchise push announcement this spring. The company, specializing in environmentally safe, non-toxic sanitizing products and hospital-grade disinfection services, has brought revolutionary technology to the industry, especially during the COVID-19 crisis that has swept the globe.

Bactronix is sharing the franchise opportunity for robust territories upwards of one million people. “These are impressive numbers within the franchise marketplace,” stated Devin Conner, franchise consultant with W.C. Developers. “We are seeing incredible growth within every territory that has sold. Each one has quadrupled in numbers over the past 3 months.”

Bactronix has been voted as one of the top 50 franchises in the United States by several franchise-specific media outlets.

Last week the entire state of Colorado was sold as one exclusive Bactronix franchise territory. More than 20 Bactronix franchise units have sold, with 12 units selling during the past four-week period. “This is an opportunity that any motivated business person should look into. No experience is necessary, and the numbers couldn’t be more impressive,” stated Conner. The Bactronix initial investment is estimated around $85K. “This is very low for something with this much potential and can be operated from a home-based office.”

Bactronix uses EPA-registered products and developed an exclusive testing and application process that is warranted for one year and backed by the Bactronix Antimicrobial Seal of Certification. Bactronix has revolutionized the industry with their exclusive Bactronizing Process by using BactroKill disinfectant and BactroBlock protectant. PayPerHead Agents See Huge Uptick in Online Casino Gaming

San Jose, Costa Rica: PayPerHead.com, a sportsbook technology leader, wanted a grasp of how the sports shutdown affected online casino gaming.

The company’s revenue results showed that sports bettors turned to casino gaming in droves. Overall casino revenue rose from March 11, the day the NBA shut down their season, to the end of May.

The most significant percentage surge came via live dealer casinos. From January to May, PayPerHead.com’s live dealer casino segment saw a revenue increase of 317%. The growth percentage dwarfs the digital casino revenue increase of 185%.

The numbers suggest that live dealer casino play is growing on an accelerated trajectory. What could account for the difference in revenue growth percentages?

PayPerHead’s Product Manager Nate Johnson spoke about how live dealer casinos bring “Vegas-like excitement.” Per Johnson, “Sportsbook software allows players to stream live dealer games on their tablets and mobile phones. Digital casinos use animation, and its cool animation. But many casino players still crave the human element.”

“Numbers don’t lie. If you’re a PayPerHead agent that doesn’t offer a live dealer casino, add it to your offerings. Las Vegas may never be the same. And, I’ll put our dealers up against any dealer you find in a brick and mortar casino,” Johnson said.

The biggest question is whether the growth in both digital casino and live dealer casino play will continue after the pandemic. Here again, it’s good news for PayPerHead agents.

PayPerHead’s revenue stats imply that sports shutdowns didn’t cause an upward trend and that the growth in casino play won’t stop anytime soon. The uptick in digital casino handle rose from $63.519M in January to $93.323M in February. From February to March, the digital casino handle rose to $110.758M.

Handle in PayPerHead.com agent run live dealer casinos rose from $9.95M in January to $12.02M in February to $22.82M in March. The numbers imply that casino play, both digital and live dealer, should continue to rise even after regular sports return. The growth trend should remain intact well into 2021 and beyond. Johnson said that when sports return, it may help raise casino gaming revenue. “Sports bettors wager on casino games while casino players don’t always wager on sports. If anything, PayPerHead agents are likely to see an uptick in all gaming segments once major US sports return.”

SolarCraft Completes Solar Power Installation at Bricoleur Vineyards; Windsor Winery Goes Solar, Increases Sustainability & Savings

Novato, CA: The solar power system is roof mounted on Bricoleur’s Winery Barn, a multipurpose, approximately 10,000-square foot entertaining space, consisting of 248 high-efficiency 330-watt solar panels. The system will produce 114,884 kWh annually, offsetting 91% of their electrical bill.

Sustainability has long been a priority for owners Mark and Elizabeth Hanson and daughter Sarah Hanson Citron. “There’s a strong connection between the long-term health of a vineyard and the species that inhabit it,” said Mark Hanson. “Bricoleur Vineyards is a natural paradise where it’s not unusual to spot deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, coyotes, rabbits, geese, and ducks. As Bay Area natives, we take it as a vital duty to preserve the fragile eco-system of Sonoma County in every way we can.”

During the life of the system, over 2,030 metric tons of carbon dioxide will be eliminated. This impact is equivalent to removing air pollution produced by almost 202,000 miles of driving annually or the pollutants removed by 106 acres of trees in one year.

Thalassaemia International Federation and Hemanext® Inc. Announce New Strategic Alliance

Lexington, MA: The Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF), a worldwide organization dedicated to ensuring equal access to quality healthcare for every patient with thalassaemia and other hemoglobin disorders across the world, and Hemanext Inc., a privately held medical technology company dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life by delivering a better red blood cell (RBC) replacement therapy, today announced a new strategic alliance on behalf of people living with thalassaemia.

Hemanext and TIF are committed to helping elevate the standard of care for thalassaemia patients worldwide through education and research and development initiatives that will lead to important clinical advances. Through this new partnership, Hemanext will support TIF’s educational and advocacy activities in support of patients, caregivers, healthcare providers and policymakers worldwide.

More than 600,000 people worldwide have one of many types of thalassaemia, all of which are inherited blood disorders that are characterized by decreased production of hemoglobin, the protein found in RBCs that carries oxygen to cells throughout the body. The disease causes the destruction of red blood cells leading to anemia. As such, blood transfusions play a vital role in the treatment and management of thalassaemia and other hemoglobin disorders.

Hemanext is seeking to maximize the therapeutic value of transfusions and reduce financial burdens to health systems with its novel RBC replacement technology. Hemanext is developing a new hypoxic storage method, which the company and many researchers and clinicians believe might improve the quality of life for patients that require chronic and high-volume transfusions, including people with thalassaemia and other hemoglobin disorders. Optimizing transfusions is critically important at this time, as societies around the world attempt to preserve and expand the blood supply.

“Many efforts are being made to ensure the continuation of blood donations to avoid shortages, as very sadly this pandemic is keeping people from donating blood,” said Dr. Androulla Eleftheriou, TIF’s executive director. “We will be actively supporting the World Health Organization (WHO) World Blood Donor Day on June 14th. And TIF’s theme for 2020 is The dawning of a new era for thalassaemia: Time for a global effort to make novel therapies accessible and affordable to patients. TIF is pleased that Hemanext shares our goal to develop new treatments for hemoglobin disorders. We welcome Hemanext into our network of industry partners.”

“The fragility and inconsistency of the blood supply continues to be a concern. During this time, transfusion medicine continues to encourage blood donations and is committed to using blood in the safest and most efficacious way. However, new innovations are needed for the transfusion community,” said Hemanext President and CEO Martin Cannon. “Working with researchers in the U.S. and Europe, we are developing a technology that we think will deliver a higher-quality, more uniform red blood cell. We applaud TIF for its support of treatments in every country impacted by thalassaemia and other hemoglobin disorders.”

In many countries, medical complications and financial burdens pose significant concerns to thalassaemia patients, their families and national health systems. TIF is working with organizations around the world that share the Foundation’s dedication to seeking solutions to these challenges.

“Transfusion physicians worldwide and patients with hemoglobinopathies they serve would benefit from RBCs that are more durable than currently available cells,” said Dr. Michael Angastiniotis, a paediatrician and former Head of the Cyprus Thalassaemia Centre, and currently TIF’s Medical Advisor. “Based on preclinical data published by Hemanext and other researchers, hypoxic storage of RBCs may help advance transfusion medicine by reducing the amount and frequency of RBC units need to achieve desired therapeutic outcomes, thereby reducing patients’ risk of the dangerous condition of iron overload.”

Alex Marichal, VP of Marketing for Hemanext, added, “During the COVID-19 crisis, patients with thalassaemia and other hemoglobin disorders are even more vulnerable than they were before the pandemic spread around the world. We want to do our part to help them, and we appreciate the opportunity to work with TIF in support of the patients served by the Federation’s member organizations.”
