Honda Racing India Team ready for the ultimate battle of 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship in Thailand

Chang International Circuit (Thailand), November 2022: As Asia’s toughest road racing championship draws to a close this weekend, Honda Racing India’s duo of Rajiv Sethu and Senthil Kumar have reached Chang International Circuit in Thailand for the final battle of 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).

The Honda Racing India Team enters this round among the Top 9 of the total 14 teams in the Asia Production 250cc (AP250) class. Showing consistent improvement since its debut as a solo Indian team in 2018, the team has worked extensively on gaining valuable points – climbing from 6 points in its inaugural season to closing the 2019 season with 35 points. On a constantly improving path, the team now enters the 2022 finale with a total of 42 points.

Commenting on the upcoming round, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Operating Officer – Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle, and Scooter India said, “2022 season of ARRC has proved to be a great learning journey for our riders. We started this championship at the Chang International circuit where our boys clinched good points for the country. Coming back to the circuit after 4 rounds of intense racing, I am confident that our riders will administer the learnings of previous rounds to gain even better results for the country as well as the team. Honda Racing India is ready to take on the Thai challenge and make the most out of it this weekend.”

Honda racing India’s experienced rider Rajiv Sethu enters the last round of the AP 250 class with a total of 31 points under his belt. For Rajiv, Chang International Circuit holds a history of good performances. In 2018, he scored his maiden international point here. It was here that Rajiv secured the Top 7 qualifying finish – the first time by an Indian rider, during the 3rd round of ARRC in 2019. His steady performance in round 1 of the 2022 season earlier this year resulted in an 11th-place finish. Rajiv is already in the top 15 out of the 24 riders in AP250 class and is determined to further up his ante this weekend.

Meanwhile, Rajiv’s teammate Senthil Kumar is the most familiar with this track. It was at Chang where he made his international debut with the Thailand Talent Cup and finished in the Top 20 in round 3 of 2019 ARRC. In round 1 of this season, he powered through and outpaced other international riders in the championship to close the race in 13th place – his best finish. After round 4, Senthil with is now having 11 points and is among the top 19 riders – a stark improvement from his overall 30th position in 2019.

Looking forward to the last round of the championship, Rajiv Sethu said, “We have reached the final leg of the championship and I am excited to give it my all in the last round here at the Chang International Circuit. Having raced at this circuit previously, I am optimistic about the results and will personally try to snatch as many points as possible by claiming the top position at the leaderboard.”

Sharing his thoughts, Senthil Kumar said, “This season has added immensely to my learning curve. I am happy that so far, I have been able to gain a few points and stand a better position than last year. In my last outing at Chang earlier this year, I finished in the Top 13. I am looking forward to racing again at Chang for the last round and am hopeful of claiming a better finish for my country and team.”

The Chang International Circuit will also witness the final round of the 2022 Thailand Talent Cup (Honda’s development program for Asian riders) this weekend. Representing the next breed of Indian young racers going global with Honda will be Kavin Quintal from Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Mohsin P from Malappuram (Kerala).

Bangalore, November 18th, 2022: The British Columbia (B.C.) provincial government’s crown corporation, Forestry Innovation Consulting India Pvt Ltd, popularly known as Canadian Wood, hosted a seminar on November 16, 2022, on ‘Re-man Projects with Canadian Wood’

The Canadian Wood campaign, which promotes using legally manufactured, responsibly harvested wood from British Columbia, Canada, has resumed after a two-year suspension brought on by the pandemic. This includes seminars and other activities that were previously halted. The session began with a welcome note and introduction by Mr. Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director, Canadian Wood, to set the tone, followed by presentations from distinguished speakers. Ar. Salil Ranadive, Principal Architect of SR+A Architects, was the second to take the stage and spoke on “Looking Back and Looking Forward. Ar. Pravir Sethi, Founder of Studio HINGE, took the stage next and shared his thoughts on designing with wood. Finally, Mr. Vinoo Naik, the founder of Interscape, shed some light on his various projects in Canadian wood throughout India. The session was closed by Mr. Gajanan Patankar, Assistant Director, Business Development, with a thank you note to the audience. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Jimmy Thomas, Assistant Director, Technical Services.

Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director, Canadian Wood, shared his insights on the current trends in the Indian construction industry, “Wood imports have a long history in India. Every year, India imports approximately 700 cubic metres of wood, 90% of which is used for re-man applications. One of the many reasons why manufacturers and architects like Canadian Wood is that we provide well-seasoned and uniformly sized wood when it is delivered, eliminating the need for the manufacturer to sort the wood before use. More and more builders and architects are requesting certified wood from sustainably managed forests as the market for structural applications and re-man increases in India.”

Ar. Salil Ranadive, Principal Architect, SR+A Architects, spoke about the ethics of building with wood. “As an architect, I support safeguarding the environment and people for the greater good. One of the reasons I prefer doing business with Canadian Woods is their attention to the environment and ethical business practices. They take the initiative to replant trees that they harvest to preserve the forest cover and at the same time offer certified wood from sustainably managed forests.”

Speaking on his association with Canadian Wood, Ar. In fact, we are utilising western red cedar from British Columbia to construct a 1200-foot home for a customer in southern India. Building with wood has, in my opinion, started to become more popular once again. Due to its dynamic character, people in the northern parts of India have started to adopt this trend as well.”

Digital Launch of E-stamping Facility in Union Bank of India Branches in 14 States

Delhi 18th November 2022: Keeping pace with the Government of India’s Vision of “Digital India” Union Bank of India in association with Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) launched the facility of e-Stamping by its Executive Director Shri Nidhu Saxena in a Digital Launch Ceremony at Union Bank of India, Govt Business Department premises in Delhi. Shri Nidhi Saxena ji said on the occasion that this facility will benefit the individuals/ corporates who want to pay the stamp duty in a secured and accessible environment of the Bank.

e- Stamping is a Computer based application of SHCIL, and a secured way of paying non-judicial stamp duty to the government. Stamp papers of various denominations can be issued as applicable in the stamp act of the respective state. The facility of e-Stamping is now available at selected Union Bank of India branches in 14 states and soon it will be expanded in 21 states at 628 branches of Union Bank of India. Once more states opt for e-Stamping branches facilities may be expanded on those states also stated Shri Nidhu Saxena.
