While several industries and sector reel in the effect of the pandemic and its resulting lockdown, it has been start-ups that have played a vital role in the recovery of the nation’s economy. With several ideas waiting to receive funding, it is the need of the hour to fasten the growth of these innovative minds and propel their solutions and models towards the path of success. Taking this very thought forward, moneycontrol and Inflection Point Ventures curated ‘Pitch Right’a competitive initiative for high potential start-ups to secure funding.

After two months of knowledge-sharing sessions, brainstorming and due diligence, the two industry pioneers have announced the final five start-ups who will present their pitches to the esteemed jury on December 19, during the live show –‘Pitch Right’. With the competitive initiative securing capital for high potential start-ups, Pitch Right shall laud the most-innovative solution and reward the winner with a funding of INR 50 lakh. to help them grow and break new ground in their respective sector.

Here are the five start-ups that have made it to the finale with their innovative ideas and solutions.

• Kiko – Founded by Shivam Varshney and Alok Chawla, Kiko TV is India’s first AI-powered live-streaming commerce platform for an “Assisted Shopping” experience. Bringing the outdoor experience onto their screens, Kiko offers customers/users a live shopping experience from their favourite stores and brands. Having started off on 15th July 2020, Kiko, in the short span of time,has gone on to rake in 140,000 app downloads.

• Wagr – Founded by SiddharthDarbha, Advaith Mohan, AjithKochery, Wagr aims to help keep our pets safe, healthy and happy with a smart, integrated pet care platform. Founded in 2016, they have successfully launched and sold out India’s 1st pet wearable that monitors the location and fitness of dogs and are foraying into veterinary telehealth in the near future. They are also among winners of the Qualcomm Design in India program.

• Pekolife-Founded by Agam Garg, Prateek and Abhinav Kumar, Pekolife is a mental healthcare start-up aiming to provide effective and personalised mental health treatment pathways to 200 million affected Indians. With the mental healthcare ecosystem in India not up to the mark, Pekolifetaps into the heart of this industry – the mental health practitioners. With just 20,000 practitioners in India, the evolution of this industry is bottle-necked by the lack of good supply. That’s where they come in and build a trusted brand among practitioners that helps in improving the quality of supply and defines the framework for new supply to join the community.

• Pracify- Founded by Shivam Malhotra and Amit Batra,Pracify is an on-demand work fulfilment platform which helps companies scale by leveraging its network of skilled & trained gig workers. It is an onmi-channel solution which works on a flexible model —companies pay for outcome achieved not manpower deployed. Using Pracify, companies can deploy gig workers on-demand and save half of their costs and hundreds of man hours usually spent on hiring, training, managing, work validation, tracking, etc

• Alveofit – Founded by Dr. Prashant Patel, Devendra Prasad, Shashank Singh Hazari and Sunil Singh, Alveofitis, an affordable, connected, SaaS-IoT enabled, and indigenous Respiratory Healthcare Platform for patients and healthcare providers. Their vision is to help patients with respiratory conditions such as Asthma/COPD/Lung fibrosis and allow them to live symptom-free life.

One by one, these selected start-ups will present their pitch/decks to the investors during a live show this December 19 on moneycontrol, and taking home INR 50 lakh. Launched by moneycontrol and Inflection Point Ventures, Pitch Right is an initiative to encourage a culture of entrepreneurship and start-up in the country.
The initiative was launched on October 8 via a highly engaging and successful AMA session that saw the presence of new-age startups and well-known investors who discussed and debated on topics regarding how to raise funds amidst a Pandemic and make them last longer.

Recently launched AI-powered start-up, KIKO TV, focuses on the growing social commerce market and re-positions its offering to an “Assisted Shopping” experience app

Mumbai: KIKO TV, a recently launched AI-powered start-up has today announced its repositioning from a short format video app to an assisted shopping experience app. KIKO TV is now India’s first AI-powered video and live commerce platform for an “Assisted Shopping” experience.

The platform which was launched a few months ago, amidst the pandemic, has been witnessing a 30% month-on-month increase in the social commerce vertical and will now be focusing on the growing market opportunities present within the same. The start-up will be investing heavily in building the same by acquiring a larger user database and building an aggregator community for sellers.

In the current pandemic, with buyers not able to go to retail outlets or malls to shop, the experience of shopping is missing. Buyers are looking to get a live shopping experience digitally from their favourite stores and brands and KIKO TV aims to fill this gap and provide a solution to this exact need by introducing a two-way live video communication stage between merchants and buyers. Users of the app can now enjoy a seamless shopping experience and discuss the product with the seller before purchasing it.

The social commerce market in India is growing at a tremendous CAGR of 50% and will soon be 5B$ market in India and 300B$ world-wide. Keeping the current #VocalForLocal and #MadeInIndia sentiment, KIKO TV will feature products from local Indian vendors only.

The new business model will be entirely spearheaded by Shivam Varshney, Co-Founder and CEO, KIKO TV, who will be responsible for bringing in partnerships, associations and newer ways of growth strategies. Shivam is an IIT Bombay Alumni and has been closely associated with KIKO TV since inception.

Bharat ka App, KIKO TV witnesses 30% month-on-month increase in their social commerce channel

KIKO TV, India’s first AI-based short video E-Commerce & Entertainment platform has witnessed a 30% month-on-month increase in the social commerce vertical. The app, which was launched a few months ago, amidst the pandemic, released their in-app shopping feature last month and since then has seen a positive upsurge.

Supporting and showcasing the #VocalForLocal and #MadeInIndia sentiment, KIKO TV provides products only from Indian local vendors. Their aim is to be a one-stop solution for shopping while browsing videos and live streaming shopping.

With the social commerce market booming in India and small businesses looking at new ways of reaching out to customers, KIKO TV foresees this as an excessively big market to capitalise and grow in. KIKO TV launches festive wonders for its users – launches “Deal of the Day” Discount and live-stream shopping for its users

KIKO TV, India’s first AI-based short video E-Commerce & Entertainment platform has launched new features on the app as part of their festive offering to its users. The app, which was launched a few months ago, amidst the pandemic has been receiving a great response and is constantly coming up new features.

“Deal of Day” Discount feature will allow registered users of the app to have access to 100s of deals up till Diwali. Currently, KIKO TV has signed up more than 50 merchants on the app. Products that have been added include electronics, household use products, personal care as well as health and beauty products. Limited products are available at up to 90% off their retail price in lightning deals. Additionally, users can use the in-app currency “coins” to get an even higher discount on selected products.

The live-streaming feature allows users of KIKO TV to have live interaction within the app with the vendors across India. This live service allows sellers to push their live feeds across all social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. The platform has more than 50 sellers on board, offering a wide variety of products. Kick-starting the festive season, early, KIKO TV is all set to bring in amazing discounts from vendors on the products which are in high demand.

KIKO TV, the latest Made in India App introduces two new features!

Mumbai, 8th September 2020: KIKO TV, which is India’s first AI-based short video E-Commerce & Entertainment platform launched recently amidst the pandemic after the anti-China sentiments has launched two exciting new features.

The interactive entertainment video-based app will now allow users to shop within the app while enjoying the content. While viewing the videos, the users can also like and share the videos, to earn currency to shop within the app. This currency is called COINS and can be redeemed for goodies from the app!

KIKO TV has also launched in-app gaming wherein the users can play games in the app to earn coins. With more and more apps being pulled off the play store, KIKO TV came up with this feature to fill the void in the market.
