Cactus Partners invests dollar5 million in Indigrid Technology

Mumbai, 13 June 2024: Cactus Partners (CP), an early growth-stage venture capital fund, today announced an investment of $5 million in full stack EV component supplier Indigrid Technology.

This marks the seventh investment made by CP and the second in the EV component manufacturing space. The fund, which started investing in January 2021, has already made investments in companies such as Kapture, Vitraya, AMPM, Auric, Lohum, and Rubix (exited).

Indigrid Technology has its manufacturing operations in Manesar and is a preferred vendor to a wide gamut of customers, including the likes of JP Minda, Hella, Revolt, Bounce, and Xidda, to name a few. With a customer centric approach, deep domain expertise, a robust product portfolio, and a growing customer base, Indigrid is well positioned to become an EV component powerhouse—“Made in India”—for India and the world.

For Indigrid Technology, the capital infusion will be directed towards several key initiatives: significantly expanding production capacity to meet growing demand; enhancing, and diversifying product offerings to appeal to a broader customer base; broadening their presence in both Indian and global markets to increase market share and reach; and strengthening the team by investing in talent acquisition, training, and development to support growth and innovation goals.

In December last year, Cactus Partners had concluded the final close of Fund I at a total corpus of about Rs 630 crore. The venture capital firm received capital commitments predominantly from institutional investors and family offices, of which 60% originated from domestic sources and the rest from international limited partners based in the US, Singapore, the European Union, and the UK. The fund has a broad sector focus, with its primary interests being in climate tech, health tech, and B2B SaaS businesses.

Madan Bahal, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Adfactors PR, has been appointed Jury Chair in Abby Awards 2024 powered by One Show in the Public Relations category.

Compostable tableware brand, CHUK, introduces bagasse-based packaging for food delivery

India’s leading compostable tableware brand, CHUK, has recently launched 100% compostable, bagasse-based food delivery solutions. The sustainable food delivery solutions will cater to the entirety of the food delivery ecosystem, including QSRs, dark kitchens, delivery kitchens, and cloud kitchens.

With two years of industry research and extensive design and function experimentation, the compostable containers have been developed in various sizes – 350 ml, 500 ml, 750 ml, and 1000 ml. Each container is expertly designed with lids to prevent spillage and facilitate a superior customer experience.

The food delivery space is currently dominated by plastic containers, which disturb biodiversity and choke the environment. With its latest innovation, CHUK is bridging a gap by bringing forth sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics for adoption by the foodservice sector. With the new category launch, CHUK will be able to access a wider customer base by leveraging key distribution channel partners deployed across major states and capitals to develop a robust supply network”.

With an aim to sell 8-10 million units per month, CHUK envisions revenue growth to the tune of 60% month-on-month with 50% overall revenue growth from delivery and dine-in domains. In the upcoming financial year, CHUK intends to unlock a 3-4-fold increase in revenues.

It is also looking to launch a factory catering solely to its new sustainable food packaging category.

Omaxe Premier League 2020 Showcases Amazing Matches, Amsterdam Kings Team Grabs The Winning Cup

Omaxe Premier League 2020 Tournament was organized at World Sports Academy situated near Omaxe World Homes, Sector 97, Faridabad. The energetic cricket tournament was won by the team Amsterdam Kings while Runners-Up title was grabbed by the team of London Warriors. The tournament was attended by good number of cricket lovers who cheered and supported their teams with full enthusiasm.

The finale match had Amsterdam Kings batting first on the field, the team made a score of 188 runs with a loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. London Warriors chased the opponent team and made a score of 140 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Sunny Sarpa completed his century, with a score of 121 runs in 57 balls. Amit Sharma from London Warriors also took 2 wickets within 4 overs.

The league began around 2 in the afternoon and extended up to late evening. Four teams participating in the League were Amsterdam Kings, London Warriors, Paris Spartans and Portugal Riders. The names of participating teams were based on the theme of worldly destination retail spaces situated in Omaxe World Homes.

The league began with two phases of Semi-Finale to take out the final contenders. First semi-finale was between the teams of London Warriors and Paris Spartans. London Warriors emerged victorious and became the first finalist. Second semi-finale was between Portugal Riders and Amsterdam Kings. Finally, Amsterdam Kings being the second finalist also became Champions of the entire league.

All the players were honoured at the end of the league, Sunny Sarpa was awarded the title of ‘Man of the Series’ for his commendable performance, and Amanpreet received the title of ‘ Best Bowler of the Series.’ The entire league received a great response from the audience and people were happy to be a part of the match as it keeps them fit and entertained at the same time.
