Well, gear up to be one with ALTBalaji Producer’s this season! They aim at educating the youth through the brilliant initiative, ‘The Producer Lab’ series on YouTube which is a part of their #ALTBingeFest.

This series is all set to have known producers such as Samar Khan, Sachin Mohite and Tanveer Bookwala on it this year. The series is for aspiring storytellers associated with National’s College and MET Institute of Mass Media. These producers will be in conversation with the students from these college’s, sharing their expertise and wisdom to educate them and get them ready to face the real world. The struggles faced by an actor is often spoken about but the struggles that a producer faces, are still unknown, which is exactly what the producer has spoken about. The industry is not an easy place to be so some guidance from the right set of people is bound to go a long way!

This week, the platform released the second episode of the ‘Producer Lab’ series which had the talented director- producer Sachin Mohite on it, in association with R.D. National College and MET Institute of Mass Media. He has produced some great masterpieces ranging from supernatural to romance in languages such as Hindi and Marathi. The magnum opus epic drama Paurashpur was produced by Sachin Mohite. In the episode, the producer is handing out some meaty advice for the newcomers and aspirants of the entertainment industry and the students, as much as they have enjoyed it, it has also been a lovely learning experience for them. He shares a few tips, diving deep into the facts which the students have highly appreciated.

During this candid conversation, Sachin shares, “My journey began 24 years ago when satellite TV had just kickstarted and made its presence known. We only had Zee TV at the time and I got associated with the most popular show on it as a ‘Dressman’ when I wanted to be a director but there wasn’t any vacancy for the job. I later became an assistant director on the same show and after learning the tricks, 3 years later I was directing it all. I have been very fortunate when it comes to exploring various genres which has been very lucky for me.”

He further added, “You have to continuously work on ideas as that is what today’s day and age looks for. Ideas develop and make it big! Keep thriving and ideating because that’s when they get picked up and then the rest is history! I have been a producer, a writer and a director but my heart essentially lies with direction. Though production has also been quite fun. I have gotten an unbelievable amount of love from the industry over the years for my work and I assure you that constant persistence and never stopping at one thing and thereby restricting yourself is sure to take you places in the industry.”

This series is one of a kind and chances like this do not come around often, so the students can benefit from this and how!

ALTBalaji’s youth drama Puncch Beat 2 is all set to drop on the digital screens this week. The show has been one of the highly anticipated youth dramas this year. The first session of the show was trendy and extremely successful amongst the youth. The show’s protagonist Rahat, played by actor Priyank Sharma became a crush of many. For the unversed, Priyank marked his acting debut with the show. Sharma, who had been part of several reality shows like Bigg Boss, Splitsvilla, and Roadies till then, had never faced the camera as an actor hitherto. Recently, Priyank confessed that he was naive as an actor. In his candid revelation, he also added that he was so raw that he didn’t even know how to face the camera.

While expressing his thoughts for the show, Priyank also revealed how Puncch Beat has always been special to him. He said, “Puncch Beat Season 1 was my debut as an actor, and I believe that the show is like our baby, for most of us. I have a lot of emotions attached to the project. Along with emotions, a lot of expectation is also there because season 1 worked beautifully for me as an actor.” Confessing his rawness in the first season, he added, “I was raw at that time, and I was completely naïve as an actor. I had no experience at all, like how to face the camera and such. Season 2, on the other hand, was again a lot of learning experience for me. However, this time I won’t say that I was raw. I was a lot more trained as an actor, there in front of the camera, knowing a lot of things about how this entire thing works.”

Social taboos get ready to be quashed, AGAIN! ALTBalaji launches four new engaging episodes in Hai Taubba Chapter 2

ALTBalaji launches four new engaging episodes in Hai Taubba Chapter 2

ALTBalaji’s creative den released yet another scintillating and entertaining drama, that just like its title, made everyone go Hai Taubba. The show – an anthology, was released with not much fanfare. Despite the low buzz around its release, it became one of the most trending shows on the streaming platform. The viewers were already asking for more, and it seems the makers were already prepared for the same. After announcing the second chapter of Hai Taubba, the makers have finally launched the show on the streaming platform.

Like its predecessor, the show will have four disruptive stories .. and this time, the makers are calling it four imperfect stories. Who says life is perfect and haitaubba stories echo the same imperfection. These stories and their protagonists will challenge social stigmas and taboos. Just like the first chapter, the episodes from the second chapter are also named after colours – Blue, White, Pink and Silver. This time the show will tackle unspoken topics like imperfect love to imperfect marriages. ALTBalaji’s Hai Taubba is a compilation of 4 mature adult stories, representing emotions symbolized by a distinct colour of love.

With ‘Hai Taubba’, makers have always spoken about how society reacts to the issues that we don’t talk about but are deeply ingrained in our lives. Taking inspiration from the infamous saying, “Kuchtoh log kahenge, logo kakaamhaikehna” which essentially means that people will have something or the other to say, no matter what, Hai Taubba has always stayed true to what it has committed.

This season as well, the cast will comprise of some known and some fresh faces. TV actor GautamVig, model and reality show contestant Tapan Singh will be a part of the gay drama in the story silver. Atmadeep Ghosh, Bibriti Chatterjee, AkshayBindra, Sidhant Mahajan, and kashish Rai are the other actors in the show. Actor Shrutiulfat has lend her voice for a virtual character called ardhangini in the opening episode ‘pink.’

While talking about the show Gautam who will be seen in the episode titled Silver, said, “Hai Taubba has always remained true to its intentions. I was excited to be a part of this series, so it was a no brainer. It is also my first digital show on such a big platform, so I’m so excited about it.” Gautam has been part of several hit TV shows like Naamkarann and was also seen in Agni Vayu.

Bibriti Chatterjee, who will be seen in the episode titled White, was too elated talking about the show. “It is going to be my first big project in the Hindi diaspora, and I’m so excited that finally, the show is hitting the tubes. I was waiting for it for a long time. And finally, the time has come that I can watch it. I can tell you all one thing that the story I am part of is so interesting that we had a ball while shooting it.”

The show is conceptualized by ALTBalaji’s creative director Baljit Singh Chaddha. The stories are written by renowned film writers like PurvaNaresh (known for films HaseeTohPhasee (2014), Krrish 3 (2013), and Dum Maaro Dum (2011)), Rohan Ghosh, (best known for Kaali 2), and ajaydeepsingh (popular for writing virgin bhasskar). Baljit Singh Chaddha has been credited for shows like His Storyy, Fixerr, and Paurashpur, to name a few.

For the unversed, Hai Taubba is a collection of stories that were distributed in two chapters. The first Chapter one went on air on May 6 and all these stores had a common emotion of love. There’s love between two men, there’s love between two females, and then there’s also the adolescent love alongside a man who believes, “40s is the new 20s”. On the other hand, the second chapter, again with four stories, will stream from today. While they may be edgy for others, one cannot deny that life isn’t perfect at the end of the day, and our imperfect lives reflect that. And that is the spine of ALTBalaji’s latest chapter of Hai Taubba.
