The 6th Asian Beach Games concluded in Sanya, with China topping the medal table

SANYA, China, April 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — At noon on April 30, the women’s beach handball final of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 was held at the Tianya Haijiao Competition Venue. Vietnam defeated China in a penalty shootout to claim the final gold medal of this edition of the Games, while China took silver. With that, competitions across 14 sports, 15 disciplines, and 62 events concluded. The Chinese delegation finished with 24 gold, 18 silver, and 13 bronze medals, topping the overall medal standings.

Sanya 2026 marked China’s second time hosting the Asian Beach Games, and was also the first major international multi-sport event held following the island-wide special customs operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Zhang Xin, deputy head and secretary-general of the Chinese sports delegation, said: “China’s gold medal achievements showed encouraging breakthroughs across multiple areas and broad-based success. Most encouragingly, several sports achieved historic breakthroughs.” Among them, young sport climber Zhao Yicheng broke the men’s speed sport climbing world record in 4.58 seconds. Several events set new Games records, while China swept all gold medals in aquathlon and open water swimming.

The organization of the Games also received high praise. At the press conference summarizing the event held on the 29th, Husain Al-Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, praised this edition of the Asian Beach Games as a model of green, safe, simple, and digital event organization, noting that all delegations experienced Sanya’s warmth and charm.

For the host city of Sanya and for Hainan as a whole, the “traffic” generated by the Games is being converted into economic “gains.” The vibrant beach competitions have driven a surge in consumption across the entire chain, including tourism, accommodation, catering, cultural and creative industries, and duty-free retail. The vision of “hosting one event, developing multiple industries, and benefiting the region” is becoming a reality.

Sanya 2026 is drawing to a close, but a new chapter in China’s beach sports has only just begun. The footprints left by the athletes will inspire more people to devote themselves to this captivating arena.

Amitis Capital Accelerates Digital Asset Capabilities With Samara Alpha Integration

Amitis Capital has integrated Samara Alpha, bringing its team, products and infrastructure into the group as it expands its institutional digital asset platform.

NEW YORK and LONDON, April 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Amitis Capital, the asset management firm born from the Amitis Family Office, has announced the integration of US-based Samara Alpha into its business. Samara Alpha’s team, products and operational infrastructure have been brought under Amitis Capital, with all activities continuing under the Amitis name.

Amitis Capital is the General Partner to ACDAM – its flagship digital asset multi-manager fund, providing diversified exposure across liquid directional, market-neutral and venture strategies.

The integration marks a significant expansion of Amitis Capital’s digital asset capabilities and forms part of a broader strategy to build a fully institutionalised allocation platform for the asset class – the infrastructure through which sophisticated capital will access digital assets at scale.

Monica Monajem, Founder and CEO of Amitis Capital, said:
“The ambition is to build for digital assets what Blackstone, KKR and Apollo built in private markets – a scaled platform that institutional allocators rely on. Amitis was built with that objective from day one, and integrating Samara Alpha is a meaningful step towards that vision.”

Founded in January 2023, Samara Alpha is a US-based institutional digital asset manager whose founding team pioneered tokenised private equity alongside KKR at Securitize Capital. With nearly a three-year track record, its market-neutral and BTC-denominated fund-of-funds strategies have consistently ranked in the BarclayHedge Top Ten Multi-Advisor Funds and are shortlisted for Hedgeweek’s Fund of Funds of the Year 2026, with winners announced in June.

These strategies and the team behind them are now part of Amitis Capital.

Adil Abdulali, formerly CIO of Samara Alpha and now CSO for Amitis Capital said:
“This integration is a natural next step for Samara Alpha. From the outset, there was strong alignment in investment philosophy, standards and long-term ambition. Joining Amitis allows us to scale what we’ve built within a broader institutional platform, while continuing to deliver for investors.”

Firstsource Partners with Typeface to Launch Agentic Marketing Services

New full-stack offering turns content operations into an agentic growth engine

NEW YORK and MUMBAI, India, April 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Firstsource Solutions Limited (NSE: FSL) (BSE: 532809), an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, today announced the launch of a new offering — Agentic Marketing Services — in partnership with Typeface, the marketing orchestration engine for the world’s leading enterprises. The offering is designed to help enterprises move from marketing ambition to scale by transforming, implementing, and operating AI-native marketing systems. It transforms marketing operations into a scalable growth engine and delivers measurable top-line revenue growth beyond operational efficiency alone.

Firstsource Logo

Agentic AI is redefining how enterprises think about the customer lifecycle, and marketing content sits at the center of that transformation. Enterprises deploying AI-driven personalization are seeing up to 40% higher revenue compared to their peers. Content operations is both a growth lever and an efficiency play for CMOs: roughly 30% of CMO budgets go to content; approximately 55% of content work is manual — resizing, localization, brand compliance — while 90% of those manual workflows can be AI-enabled.

“At Firstsource, our approach has been about moving beyond traditional boundaries to build adaptive, intelligence-led ecosystems that deliver measurable outcomes. Content operations is now the most disrupted layer of the modern marketing stack, with Large Language Models reshaping the entire value chain — from ideation and production to governance and distribution — making it both the biggest near-term efficiency opportunity and the most exposed surface area in enterprise marketing,” said Ritesh Idnani, MD and Chief Executive Officer of Firstsource.

“CEOs and CMOs are not looking for a consultancy that hands off a roadmap or an agency that operates in silos — they want a partner who can transform, implement, and operate marketing systems end-to-end. By combining micro-segmentation, personalization, and deep industry context, we help clients build acquisition, engagement, and retention engines that are intelligent, compliant, and scalable. Typeface brings the AI technology to generate personalized, on-brand, compliant content at scale, and Firstsource brings deep experience in customer operations, especially in regulated industries like banking, financial services, healthcare, and retail. Together, we enable enterprises to plan, build, and run modern marketing — turning content operations into a compounding growth engine and delivering outcomes, not just effort.”

The partnership extends the capabilities announced with Typeface’s recent Marketing Orchestration Engine launch — bringing governed AI systems into full-stack marketing operations for regulated enterprises.

“AI only transforms marketing when it’s embedded into the workflows that drive real customer outcomes,” said Abhay Parasnis, Founder & CEO of Typeface. “Firstsource brings deep industry expertise and operational rigor in highly regulated environments. Together, we’re helping enterprises turn AI ambition into operational reality, embedding governed intelligence into the systems that power durable growth.”

While Typeface provides the orchestration layer that unifies brand intelligence, AI agents, and enterprise systems, Firstsource brings the operational expertise and insights to enable effective decision making and implement and run these systems in complex, regulated environments. Together, they redesign how growth is driven — focusing on the moments, segments, and mechanisms that truly move the needle — enabling enterprises to shift from fragmented activity to scalable, revenue-led execution.

Industry view

“In retail, seasonality and micro-segmentation are where revenue is won or lost. Every peak moment demands thousands of personalized variants across marketing, service, and customer operations — and the retailers who get this right see real movement on acquisition, conversion, and retention, not just efficiency. What makes the Firstsource–Typeface offering different is that it is not another tool — it is an operating capability. Pairing agentic AI with embedded marketing operations is exactly what retailers need to move from broad campaigns to true lifecycle-driven engagement. For the industry, this is a meaningful step-change in how growth gets engineered.”
– Dave Kimbell, Ex-CEO Ulta Beauty; Firstsource Advisory Board Member

“Healthcare payers sit on a real paradox: a huge share of member communication is locked inside PHI and claims workflows where the rules are clear and rightly strict — but the biggest lever on affordability lives outside that envelope, in how payers engage members on wellness, prevention, plan literacy, and proactive disease management. That is a white-space opportunity the industry has barely touched. This is where marketing AI services can genuinely move the needle. With micro-segmentation and agentic content, payers can reach the right member with the right nudge at the right moment — entirely within compliant, non-PHI pathways — and shift the engagement model from acquisition and retention to lifelong wellness. That is how you make healthcare more affordable, improve member experience, and strengthen the economics of the plan at the same time. The Firstsource–Typeface offering is one of the few capabilities purpose-built to operate at that intersection of compliance, personalization, and outcomes.”
– Paul Sanford, Ex-EVP Operations, Cigna Group; Firstsource Advisory Board Member

WEX® Taps Extend to Enable Corporate Card Payments in SAP Concur Solutions

WEX brings smarter AP solutions to Corporate Card customers with the help of growing fintech business, Extend.

NEW YORK–Extend, a leader in embedded virtual card payments, today announced a collaboration with WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX), a global leader in intelligent payment solutions, to enable virtual card payments inside Concur Invoice. WEX corporate card customers can now connect their WEX commercial account in Concur Invoice to generate and settle vendor payments with virtual cards—all automatically and without leaving the Concur platform.

As an established SAP Concur partner, Extend provides WEX with the infrastructure key to facilitating—and accelerating—this strategic integration designed to deliver more value to business customers. This news reflects Extend’s growing position as a trusted fintech partner for financial institutions and corporate payment providers looking to deliver embedded payment capabilities inside the platforms their customers already rely on.

A Seamless Payments Experience for WEX Customers

For WEX corporate card customers using Concur Invoice, this integration not only enables a new level of control and security over vendor payments, it also means a more streamlined and automated AP process. When an invoice is received, Concur Invoice automatically generates a virtual card linked to the customer’s registered WEX commercial account—complete with a unique 16-digit number, spend limit, validity date, and invoice reference—then authorizes, remits, and reconciles the payment end to end.

This gives WEX customers the ability to:

  • Settle invoices with single-use virtual cards generated from their existing WEX commercial account

  • Control payment amounts and timing with per-invoice virtual card parameters

  • Pay suppliers faster, improving cash flow, and days payable outstanding

  • Automate reconciliation and gain complete visibility into payment delivery

  • Eliminate paper checks and reduce associated risks and administrative burden

  • Earn available card rebates on vendor transactions

“WEX is committed to providing our customers with intelligence-led solutions that transform Accounts Payable from a back-office function into a strategic driver of working capital,” said  Carlos Carriedo, Chief Operating Officer, Americas Payments & Mobility, WEX. “By partnering with Extend to embed virtual card payments inside Concur Invoice, we are delivering infrastructure that offers granular control over every transaction, all without disrupting how they already operate.”

WEX: Optimizing the AP Lifecycle with Virtual Card Technology

WEX modernizes the entire AP lifecycle through an intelligence-led orchestration layer that replaces vulnerable credentials with single-use virtual tokens that help neutralize fraud at the point of issuance. This digital architecture simplifies complex global payments across countries, currencies and systems to manage virtual cards and process transactions — all on one platform. By combining this transaction processing with strategic supplier enablement and guided enrollment, WEX helps transform Accounts Payable from a traditional cost center into a scalable, value-generating asset.

Andrew Jamison, CEO and co-founder of Extend, shares “WEX is one of the most respected names in corporate payments, and this partnership reflects the momentum we’re seeing across the industry. Extend has built the infrastructure that lets card issuers and payment platforms deploy new capabilities inside the software their customers already use, without ripping and replacing what’s already working. As customer expectations rapidly evolve, so does the race to deliver more connected payment workflows—Extend is excited to be the partner that makes it possible.”

Extend: The Embedded Payments Layer for Enterprise

Extend’s platform sits at the intersection of card rails, spend management, and expense software—connecting legacy payment infrastructure to modern business workflows. With partnerships across major issuing banks, integrations with the three largest card networks, and a growing footprint within solutions like Concur Invoice, Extend has built the connective tissue that allows financial institutions and corporate payment providers to offer new experiences to end users without costly, time-intensive direct integrations.

As business software platforms and card programs continue to converge, Extend is uniquely positioned to accelerate this shift across the industry. The WEX partnership is the latest example of a leading corporate payment provider leveraging Extend’s infrastructure to move faster, reach more customers, and deliver more value from existing card programs.
