Solidion Technology Granted 7 New Patents on Composite Anode Materials For Batteries Targeting Humanoid Robots, Space-Based Artificial Intelligence Data Centers and the Lunar Economy

The newly granted patents further strengthen an already globally leading portfolio of patents on anode materials for high-energy and fast-charging lithium batteries

DALLAS, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Solidion Technology Inc. (“Solidion” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: STI), an advanced battery technology solutions provider, today announced the grant of 7 new US patents, bringing the Company’s IP portfolio to the total of 130 US patents alone on anode materials for lithium batteries.

Graphene-confined Si-rich composite anodes for lithium-ion batteries

Solidion’s silicon anode is engineered to (i) deliver a longer uptime for AI data centers on the ground or in the space; (ii) extend the flying range of an unmanned aerial vehicle or drone; (iii) increase the operational time of a humanoid robot on one battery charge; and (iv) drive EV battery technology to a lower cost and provide a higher energy density, significantly extending the EV driving range.

One of the globally leading silicon anode materials is produced from chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of Si in pores of highly porous carbon particles. This technology has several major drawbacks, due to the use of a silane gas-based feedstock, which is known to be scarce in North America, highly explosive, costly and challenging to produce, transport, and store. Additionally, current porous carbon particles are incapable of accepting more than 50% of silane-derived Si in their pores, a feature which significantly compromises the achievable cell energy density.

Solidion’s patented Si anode technology overcomes these technical and economical obstacles by using an innovative combination of three strategies:

(1) Higher energy density: well-designed porous graphene balls that can readily accommodate up to 90% Si in the graphene/Si composite;

(2) Lower cost: A low-cost silane-free process that is safer, faster, and lower cost; and

(3) Domestically sourced feedstock (no supply-chain disruption issue): for instance, graphene is produced by Solidion’s affiliated company (Global Graphene Group) from biomass, which is abundant in North America.

About Solidion Technology, Inc.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with pilot production facilities in Dayton, Ohio, Solidion Technology (NASDAQ: STI) is an advanced battery technology solutions provider focused on manufacturing next-generation battery materials and components, and developing high-performance batteries for energy storage, including UPS systems serving the AI data center market, electric vehicles, and aerospace applications. Musim Mas Earns CDP ‘A’ for Advancing Supplier Engagement Across Its Value Chain

SINGAPORE, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Musim Mas, a leading integrated oleochemical group, has been awarded an ‘A’ in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) for the second time since 2024 by the global environmental non-profit Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

Complementing the Group’s recent double ‘A’ status in the annual CDP disclosure cycle, this recognition focuses specifically on how companies engage their suppliers on climate-related issues across their supply chains.

What is the CDP SEA A List?

The SEA, derived from CDP’s climate change disclosure, evaluates companies across areas such as governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and risk management. Being on this leaderboard reflects the Company’s continued efforts to address value chain emissions and its strong commitment to transparency with stakeholders.

Engaging value chain actors is critical for Musim Mas, as nearly 90% of its total absolute emissions lie in the Group’s value chain (Scope 3 emissions). Recognizing this, the Group has prioritized efforts to better understand and measure these emissions, while strengthening engagement with its suppliers to support more targeted approaches to addressing them as part of its broader pathway towards net-zero emissions by 2050 under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

A Structured Approach to Managing Value Chain Emissions

Building a strong supplier engagement approach requires a systematic and sustained effort. As a starting point, mapping out the Group’s value chain is a crucial step.

Since 2019, Musim Mas has conducted Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) evaluations for upstream products. By 2023, these assessments also included downstream products. These evaluations allow the Group to better identify the key emission hotspots and design more targeted mitigation measures.

In 2024, GHG-related data collection was added to the Musim Mas supplier self-assessment tool. This was complemented by supplier workshops on emissions management, reinforcing the Group’s value chain engagement strategy and helping suppliers better understand their emissions.

In 2025, the Group disclosed, for the first time, suppliers’ GHG emissions from land-use change, which is the largest contributor to Musim Mas’ Scope 3 emissions. Collectively, these efforts reflect the Group’s structured and data-driven approach to managing value chain emissions, supporting its broader pathway towards its SBTi net-zero commitment.

“Musim Mas recognises the critical role that suppliers play in decarbonization across our value chain. This SEA achievement underscores our ambition to accelerate decarbonization across our Scope 3 emissions. Together with our partners and suppliers, we remain committed to creating lasting impact and building a thriving and ever-resilient business,” Matthias Diemer, Musim Mas Director of Climate Action and Supply Chain Sustainability.

Looking ahead, the Group remains focused on progressing towards its near and long-term emissions reduction targets under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with supplier engagement continuing to play a key role in addressing value chain emissions.

Puri, Wayanad and Goa Emerge as Trending Summer Choices for Indian Families, Agoda Reports

SINGAPORE, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Digital travel platform Agoda has recorded a rise in family accommodation searches for domestic summer travel compared to last year, with destinations such as Puri, Wayanad and Goa emerging as trending locations for the upcoming school holiday period. Based on accommodation search data for check-ins between May and June 2026, the findings point to growing travel interest in coastal, nature and outdoor-focused getaways compared to last year.

Puri, Wayanad and Goa Emerge as Trending Summer Choices for Indian Families, Agoda Reports

The trend aligns closely with the school holiday window where most schools in Indian states closing through May and June, and is one of the few periods in the year when families can travel together for an extended stretch. This is also reflected in travel planning, with families gravitating toward destinations that offer outdoor activities, relaxation and time together.

Coastal and nature destinations see rising interest

Odisha’s iconic coastal town, Puri, is drawing interest with a 68% rise in accommodation searches. Home to the Jagannath Temple and the broad sweep of the Bay of Bengal shoreline, Puri offers families a mix of spiritual heritage and beachside leisure that is clearly resonating with summer holiday planners.

Kerala’s Wayanad has seen a 40% rise in family accommodation searches compared to last year. A world away from the summer heat of the plains, its wildlife sanctuaries, plantation retreats and cool, mist-wrapped forests offer a distinctive kind of family holiday, one built around nature rather than novelty.

Goa, perennially one of India’s most sought-after destinations, has registered a 29% increase in searches. With its wide array of beaches, water parks and broad range of resort stays suited to children of all ages, it continues to draw consistent interest from families planning their summer break.

Hill stations and adventure destinations trends as well

Rishikesh in Uttarakhand recorded a 22% rise in accommodation searches, with families increasingly drawn to its mix of spiritual significance, riverside camps, yoga retreats and outdoor activities such as rafting along the Ganga.

The hill stations of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu continue to draw interest as well. Mahabaleshwar recorded a 15% increase in family accommodation searches compared to last year, while Ooty saw a 13% rise. Both these destinations offer cool temperatures, scenic viewpoints and well-established hospitality infrastructure that have made them summer staples for generations of Indian travelers.

A New Lease of Life: Stories of Hope, Survivorship and Second Chances with Apollo Hospitals

Cancer changes lives long before it changes medical reports.

NEW DELHI , June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — It disrupts routines, alters plans, and tests families in ways they never imagined. It brings uncertainty, fear and difficult questions about the future. Yet for a growing number of cancer survivors, it is also becoming the beginning of a new chapter that is defined not by disease, but by resilience, hope and a renewed appreciation for life.

Redefining cancer survivorship care: Advances in cancer treatment are transforming survival and quality of life with precision medicine, innovative therapies and cutting-edge technology such as Proton Beam Therapy and da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system

A 68-year-old Bengaluru resident never imagined that what seemed like fatigue and occasional digestive discomfort would lead to a diagnosis of advanced stomach cancer. When investigations revealed a large tumour in his stomach that had already spread to his liver, the prognosis was daunting. Alongside the cancer, obesity and other medical conditions made treatment even more complex. For him and his family, the diagnosis was overwhelming. The future suddenly felt uncertain. A multidisciplinary team led by Dr Poonam Maurya, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist, Apollo Hospitals, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, developed a personalised treatment strategy designed not only to fight the disease but also to safely navigate the risks posed by his condition. Step by step, treatment progressed. What followed was a journey of courage, perseverance and trust. Today, more than two and a half years later, he remains cancer-free.

His story is a reminder that survivorship is not merely about completing treatment. It is about reclaiming life, rediscovering confidence, and finding joy in ordinary moments that once seemed uncertain.

For some families, survivorship begins even before cancer develops.

Raigad-based Shweta Harpude knows how the shadow cancer can cast across generations. Her mother succumbed to cervical cancer, while her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. Having witnessed the disease touch multiple members of her family, she sought answers that could help protect the next generation. During her treatment for a BRCA1 gene mutation at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, doctors recognised the significance of her family history and advised genetic testing for her daughter, who was in her early thirties. The results revealed that she too carried the BRCA mutation.

What could have become another tragic chapter instead became an opportunity for prevention. Armed with knowledge, Shweta’s daughter now undergoes regular screening and monitoring, significantly improving the chances of detecting disease at its earliest and most treatable stage.

“These cases reinforce that cancer is not always sporadic. In many families, it runs in the genes. Early identification through genetic counselling and screening can save lives by enabling prevention and timely treatment,” says Dr Jyoti Bajpai, Lead, Medical Oncology, Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai.

Stories like these are becoming increasingly important as cancer continues to emerge as one of India’s most significant public health challenges. More than 15 lakh new cancer cases were reported in 2024, according to ICMR-NCRP estimates, and the numbers continue to rise.

Yet alongside this challenge, there is reason for optimism.

Advances in precision medicine, genomics, immunotherapy, robotics and radiation technology are transforming outcomes across cancer care. More patients are living longer, recovering faster and returning to meaningful lives after treatment.

Seventy-two-year-old Hira Nand Khurana from Delhi represents this new era of survivorship. A patient living with diabetes and history of cardiac bypass surgery, he was diagnosed with an aggressive bladder cancer. The diagnosis was particularly concerning because of his age, underlying health conditions and the complexity of the tumour. Using the advanced da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system, a team led by Dr Harshit Garg, Senior Consultant Uro-Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, performed a complex radical cystectomy through minimally invasive surgery. The recovery surprised even his family. He was able to climb stairs by the third day after surgery and was discharged on the fourth day.

For many cancer patients, these milestones may appear small. Yet they represent something profound – the return of independence, confidence and normalcy.

“For decades, cancer treatment relied on a limited set of tools that often-affected healthy cells alongside cancerous ones. Today, we are entering an era of precision where treatment is increasingly personalised, targeted and less disruptive to patients’ lives,” says Dr Harshit Garg.

The future of cancer care is no longer measured only by survival rates. It is increasingly measured by how well patients live after treatment, how quickly they recover, how fully they return to their families, and how confidently they embrace life again.

The stories of these survivors remind us that while cancer may alter the course of life, it does not have to define it. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a future worth fighting for.

For every survivor, the journey is different. Yet they share a common truth: cancer may have been part of their story, but it did not become the ending.

New IBM Study Finds CIOs and CTOs Face Growing AI Control Gap as Enterprise Deployment Scales

  • Most surveyed technology leaders are accountable for systems they don’t fully control
  • Only 11% of respondents say they’re completely prepared for the scale of AI agent deployment
  • Organizations that design control into their AI systems achieve significantly stronger performance outcomes.

ARMONK, N.Y., June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A new IBM (NYSE: IBM) Institute for Business Value study reveals that as AI moves from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment, two-thirds of surveyed CIOs and CTOs report being held accountable for AI systems they do not fully control, while governance struggles to keep pace at scale.

C-level technology executives study.

The global study* of 2,000 C-level technology executives (tech CxOs) finds that the lack of visibility is widespread. The majority of surveyed executives (70%) say teams across the business are deploying technology faster than IT can track.

At the same time, technology leaders face growing pressure to scale AI faster, even as many lack the structures to support it. By 2027, surveyed tech CxOs anticipate a 38% increase in the number of AI agents deployed. While 80% of respondents report CEO-driven AI transformation mandates, only 11% believe they are fully ready for the scale of AI agent deployment expected in the next year. Governance is also falling behind, with 77% of organizations surveyed reporting AI adoption is already outpacing current governance capabilities.

“For CIOs and CTOs, the challenge now is scaling AI systems that operate continuously and autonomously, often within governance models and architectures designed for a far slower, more predictable environment,” said Matt Lyteson, CIO, IBM. “It is no longer just about deploying AI faster. It’s redesigning how organizations control, govern and invest in it and embedding control and visibility from the start, so they can scale with confidence.”

As AI scales, operational and security risks are growing

  • Analysis shows that in organizations relying on manual governance, incident risk increases as AI adoption scales, whereas those that embed control directly into their AI systems experience 25% fewer incidents.
  • Most (59%) of tech CxOs surveyed cite security and compliance concerns as top barriers to scaling AI agents.
  • Surveyed organizations experienced an average of 54 AI agent incidents last year, in which an unintended and/or harmful occurrence required human correction.
  • According to respondents, 17% of those AI agent incidents reported were high severity, requiring more than four hours to contain:
    • 37% resulted in data exposure or security breaches
    • 33% caused cascading system failures
    • 17% triggered compliance issues

Organizations that redesign AI control and investment see stronger outcomes

  • AI spend is projected to grow from just under 15% of IT budgets in 2025 to nearly 25% by 2027 – a 71% increase in two years, raising the stakes for CIOs and CTOs.
  • Yet, 84% of tech CxOs have not fully operationalized AI financial management, and 85% still lack full visibility into real-time AI spend.
  • Analysis finds that organizations that build control into their AI systems:
    • deploy 16x more AI agents than those relying on manual governance
    • deliver 18% higher operating margins
    • spend 4x less of their AI budget
  • Analysis shows organizations with strong financial discipline:
    • deploy 2.4x more AI agents with no higher AI/IT budget
    • are 3x more likely to say they are fully prepared for AI scale
  • Surveyed organizations that designed for adaptability early – keeping workloads portable and models replaceable rather than locked into hard dependencies – reported a 10% higher return on AI investment in 2025.
