The verdant campus of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, bustled with vim and vigour, when the school celebrated its Annual Sports Day on Feb. 24,2021. Integrating co-curricular activities with academics, to promote the holistic development of students, has always been the school’s philosophy. Conforming to the credo, the school has concurrently been conducting an array of activities designed to keep the young learners engaged and active, and to keep alive the spirit of sportsmanship.

The extravaganza was showcased live to the audience in virtual mode, adhering strictly to social distancing norms amidst the ongoing pandemic, wherein the budding sportspersons of SAJS Vasundhara, overcame all odds by rendering a spectacular performance. The melodious musical rendition of the students ‘Shubh Swagatam’ enthralled the audience.

In her inaugural address, the Principal cum Director, Ms. Manju Rana extended a warm welcome to the distinguished Chief Guest Shri Ashok Dhyanchandji,Chairman,Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Vice Chairperson Smt. Sunita Jaipuria, Senior Advisor Shri Vinod Malhotra, Director-Schools, Shri Harish Sanduja and other dignitaries and parents.Motivating the students, sheextolled the virtues of integrating games and sports in daily life as they help in developing leadership andsocial skills and have many other far reaching benefits.The magniloquent event initiated with the tradition of passing of torch by the Principal cum Director, Ms. Manju Rana, to the Sports Captain of the school, Utkarsh Tyagi, followed by the oath taking ceremony.

The Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, Shri Shishir Jaipuria, in his address apprised the audience about the multifarious initiatives undertaken by the schoolsuch as design thinking and innovation, ATL projects, STTAR Training Academy, adoptingcontemporary digital technologies, enhancing Social and Emotional Skills, thereby equipping students with the 21st century skills and sensitising them togrow into responsible citizenry.

The vibrant performance ofthestudents in the yoga display ‘Split Rangers’,showcaseda perfect amalgamation of mind, body and spirit. The intricate poses and ‘asanas,’ depicting the mental and physical poise of students were outstanding.The cricket match exhibited in the mime act, ‘Invisible is Visible’ was much appreciated.The ‘Fearless Phantoms’ left everyone spellbound by their power packed performance which was a perfect blend of Taekwondo and karate. The exemplary synchronization of the students, in the Skating and Gymnastic presentations, was a treat to the eye. The agility and dexterity of the students was in full bloom, as the students showcased their skills in the game of football, in the captivating presentation ‘Spinning the ball’.The importance of sports and fitness in one’s life is irreplaceable. To express their solidarity for sports, the students presented the spirited composition, ‘Khelo India’ anthem.

Hockey stalwart, Shri Ashok Dhyanchandji, commended the efforts and performance of the students and their mentors. He asserted that sports and games go a long way in preparing students to face the challenges of life and congratulated the school for nurturing a rich sporting culture.The event culminated with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Mistress, Ms. Indu Kohli.

Governor of Rajasthan Shri Kalraj Misra inaugurated Comfest by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur

Shri Kalraj Misra, the honourable governor of Rajasthan, inaugurated the four-day comfest organized by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur. The event began from 14 October, 2020 and will last till 18 October 2020.

This four-day extravaganza tests the participants’ technical, creative, literary and manageability prowess. Each year Comfest brings an array of diversified events and activities with the participation of national and international schools. This year, considering the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the event was organised on a virtual platform.

Shri Kalraj Misra, the honourable governor of Rajasthan graced the inauguration ceremony with his benign presence. He appreciated the members of the Jaipuria Computer Club for setting another milestone and inspired the young minds with his pearls of wisdom. The event proceeded with a Krishna Vandana which mesmerized everyone present.

The Chairman of the Jaipuria Group of Institutions, Shri Shishir Jaipuria also graced the event and encouraged them to settle only for perfection and nothing less.Mrs. Shikha Banerjee, the Principal of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur captivated the audience with her motivating words. Following this, Ishan Gupta, the President of Comfest 2020 addressed the gathering and gave them an insight of his emotional journey of being a member of the Jaipuria Computer Club. He highlighted how Mr. Manish Seksaria has always been the true pillar and driving force of this extravaganza. His appreciation for his team could be reflected in his mesmerising voice.

Aarush Roy, a JCC member, revealed the inspiring journey of Comfest about how it has evolved from a one-day local event to a three-day national affair and eventually a four-day International phenomenon that was witnessed by the audience.

The Jaipuria Computer Club also presented the Chief Guest with an E-certificate and 101 trees were planted in his name in Buxar, Bihar. This showcased the students’ concern towards nature at large. The day ended with Shri Saket Jaipuria delivering the vote of thanks and concluding the event, encouraging the audience to strive for perfection in each and every endeavour of theirs.

Compufest- 2020

With the current transforming times driving a paradigm shift to a digital platform, what stays the course is the will of the educational sectors to equip the students with the skills to prepare them for a dynamic life ahead. Keeping up this spirit and continuing with its 15 years old legacy, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, commemorated the virtual edition of its annual Techno-Cultural Fest- ‘Compufest’ on 12&13 October 2020. Honourable Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director- Atal Innovation Mission (Govt. of India) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other luminaries present were the Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Principal cum Director Ms. Manju Rana, Vice Principal Ms. V.Suprabha, Head Mistress Ms. Sonal Srivastava and Ms. Indu Kohli. The two-day extravaganza witnessed the enthusiastic participation of many schools across Delhi-NCR.

The inaugural ceremony on 12th October commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest. After the melodious notes of the welcome song the Principal cum Director welcomed the dignitaries present on the occasion and congratulated the Cyber Crew team of Jaipuria for its extraordinary efforts to coordinate such a mega event in extraordinary times. She also applauded the participating schools for their gusto to take on the challenges. The Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria in his speech talked about the relentless efforts of the school in keeping pace with the digitally revolutionized society, letting the quality education reach out to the children at home even amidst the threat of this pandemic and creating platforms for students to unveil their talents. The esteemed Chief Guest in his address underscored the importance of innovation, creativity, critical thinking and collaboration in the holistic development of the students and how events like ‘Compufest’ play a pivotal role in it.

The event was aimed at enhancing the technological and literary skills of the students and was replete with myriad activities. If on one hand events like Illustro-Quill, Explore Spark, DeZine, Code Dcode, CinemaScope, Decode-X, Virtual Warriors, Sherlocked, allowed students to make the most of their knowledge about tools like Adobe Spark, Auto Draw, Python, Minecraft, Photoshop, Toonastic, on the other hand, events like Turn Coat (Debate) and Let’s Talk (Radio Jockey) unveiled their speaking skills and expertise to critically analyse the situations.

The ecstatic journey came to an end with the Closing Ceremony on 13th October. With the exuberance disseminated by the rolling slides of ‘Making of Compufest’, virtual certificates were given to the participants for their zealous participation. The school stood tall as it was announced as the overall winner of this gala event. President –Cyber Crew proposed the vote of thanks to the school for providing pedestals like Compufest for helping the students realize their own potential with a special mention of the IT Dept. which worked dedicatedly and committedly to leave no stone unturned for the flawless execution of the event. He congratulated the earnest endeavours of all the members of Cyber Crew in turning this event into a great success. The virtual edition of Compufest more than being a jamboree of technology and culture would be cherished for never say die attitude of the students in these adverse times.

Sajs, Vasundhara & Spic Macay, Ghaziabad Chapter Host 1st Virtual Lec-Dem by Kavita Dwibedi, a Renowned Odissi Danseuse

Hindustani classical dance is a cultural enigma and carrying forward the Indian virasat, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara in association with SPIC MACAY, Ghaziabad Chapter was a proud host to the first-ever Virtual Lec-Dem by illustrious Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Kavita Dwebedi, an Odissi Danseuse on September 28, 2020.

A maestro and exponent of Odissi dance form, Kavita Dwibedi ji, enthralled and captivated around 500 spectators virtually in the Virasat Series 2020. Through her performance, she exemplified that Dance is an art that imprints on the soul, it is a ritual performance of human expressions that and energises the mind and the body. A dancer of vision and versatility, Kavita ji said that the unprecedented times of Covid-19 cannot dampen the spirit of the Indian cultural heritage and through this first virtual performance, it was her endeavour to continue the holistic learning of the youth. Ebullience personified, Kavita ji, mesmerised the audience with her vibrant Abhinaya and highly individual dance style. With her graceful movements, supple footwork, subtle eye movements and a sinuous grace, Kavita ji’s performances on Shiva Stuti and Radha Krishna Leela had a divine quality. She showcased a vast range of emotions, serenity, pathos of varied notes and the Nav Rasa. Through her lecture, Kavita Dwebedi elaborated upon the historical background of Odissi, sculpturesque postures, music, costume, jewellery, percussion instruments and the distinct devotional flavour of the Odissi dance style.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the divine lamp by the Chief Guest Kavita Dwebedi and the Principal cum Director, Mrs. Manju Rana. Guest of Honour, Vice-Chairperson, Seth Anandram Education Society, Mrs. Sunita Jaipuria extended a hearty welcome to Kavita Dwebedi and congratulated the efforts of the school and SPIC MACAY in hosting the 1st Virtual performance and carrying forward the Indian legacy during trying times.

Principal cum Director, Mrs. Manju Rana also welcomed the esteemed dignitaries and in her speech recounted with nostalgia as the school missed the buzz and fervour of SPIC MACY due to COVID -19. But on a positive note she said that the pandemic had in another way opened up the whole world virtually and brought everyone on one virtual podium. She also enumerated that, it was heartening to see the way SPICMACAY was making the best of it, reaching out to more students, crossing boundaries and bringing the acclaimed celebrities on one platform.

The event was also graced by the Virtual presence of Shri. Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Seth Anandram Education Society, Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Senior Advisor, Jaipuria Group of Institutions and Mr. Harish Sanduja, Director Schools, along with other eminent guests, teachers, Jaipurians and students from neighbouring schools.

Kavita Dwebedi ji was overwhelmed by the hospitality and welcome of Jaipuria School. She also praised the well-organized and humble demeanor of the students and teachers under the mentorship of Principal cum Director Ma’am. She expressed her gratitude to the School and the Head Mistress & Coordinator Spic Macay, Mrs. Indu Kohli for smoothly organising the first Virtual lec-dem. In her lecture-demonstration, Kavita ji shared with the students how classical art spurs the imagination of the youngsters. She advocated the importance of discipline to sustain art in this world of multi-tasking and mentored the students to practice with complete sincerity and dedication.

The day concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Vinod Malhotra who conveyed his appreciations to Kavita ji and lauded about the abhinaya and divineness of Odissi dance styles. He also said that gone are the days when the realms of learning were confined to books alone and students should retrace their roots while taking up a multitude of career options.

Perspectives of NEP 2020 in Higher Education : Webinar hosted by Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR), Ghaziabad

September 17, Ghaziabad: Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR), Ghaziabad hosted today a national level webinar on “National Education Policy2020: Perspective, Issues, and Way forward for Higher Education” in association with Jaipuria School of Business and Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad.

The webinar aimed to highlight and provide awareness on the perspectives of National Education Policy, 2020 in Higher Education. During the webinar, the speakers deliberated regarding the new and forward-looking vision of the education policy along with its distinctive implications and the proposed reforms with a new paradigm shift.

Speakers included eminent educationists such as Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, Prof. Vinayshil Gautam, Internationally acclaimed Management Thinker and Practitioner, Prof. Gautam Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, IMS Unison University & Ex-Director, IIM Kashipur, and Prof. Raj Singh, advisor to Eminent Universities & Ex-Vice Chancellor, Ansal University, Rayat Bahra University, GD Goenka University, and Amity University joined and imparted their valuable inputs.

Welcoming the guest’s Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad highlighted the salient feature of the policy and stressed upon the importance of having a multi-disciplinary environment at higher education institutions.

In his presidential address Shri Shishir Jaipuria said “As India moves towards becoming a knowledge society and economy, NEP 2020 is a milestone for the Education System of India. Given the requirements of the 21st century, a multidisciplinary approach is the need of the hour and is directed towards major reforms at higher education level”. He also dwelt on the changes the accreditation process needs to undergo for NEP’s implementation in higher education institutions.

While addressing the audience Prof. Vinayshil Gautam said “Many stalwarts from time to time have emphasized on the need for value-based education. The proposed reform and multiple exit & re-entry systems, credit transferability across the universities, have provided flexibility to students and is a revolution that will bring the much-desired change and the drop-out levels will be decreased. Prof. Raj Singh appreciated the Policy for advocating for an integrated ecosystem for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Prof. Gautam Sinha appreciated the policy for emphasizing on human values, constitutional values, and creating national pride.

Felicitation Ceremony for High Achievers by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School

New Delhi:  To felicitate and honor the students who notched exceptional results in Class X and XII Board Exams 2019-20 and other high achievers in co-curricular activities, a virtual achievers felicitation ceremony was hosted today by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School (SAJS). Students of Lucknow, Kanpur and Ghaziabad schools were felicitated during the ceremony.

Celebrating the achievements in CBSE, ISC and ICSE board exams and in other co-curricular activities, students who achieved exemplary success were also feted along with the toppers.  The school endowed them with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding performance. To name a few, Harleen Narang of Class XII SAJS, Kanpur with 99.25%, Krishna Tulsyan of Class X SAJS, Lucknow with 98.20%, Damini Jain of Class XII SAJS, Gaziabad with 99.20% with several other co-curricular achievers.
