As a part of Myntra’s new campaign, ‘Festive Moments styled By Myntra’, Soha & Saif Ali Khan bring the sweetness of Durga Pujo to the fore

Bengaluru, October 05, 2020: Ahead of the Big Fashion Festival, Myntra has released the season’s first festive campaign, aimed at positioning the nation’s ultimate fashion destination, also as the ‘Festive Style Expert’. The special Durga Pujo campaign features brother-sister duo, Saif and Soha Ali Khan tugging at the heartstrings as they pay tribute to one of the most awaited festivals, Durga Pujo, an occasion to celebrate over a period of 5 days, with lip-smacking food and memorable moments with family. The brand film, a part of the campaign, aptly re-creates the present scenario, with countless families celebrating the festive season through video calls, thereby striking an emotional chord with the audience, while underscoring the value of the right attire to enhance any festive celebration and make moments special.

The campaign is set to run from 3rd October to 22nd October, with Myntra well poised to leverage its leadership position in the occasion-wear category among shoppers, ahead of the festive season. The protagonists in the ad-film, Saif and Soha, actively exemplify the richness of the House of Pataudi collection with their presence, embellished in grace and elegance.

‘House of Pataudi’, is the ethnic wear brand, co-owned by Myntra, Saif Ali Khan and Exceed Entertainment. The brand’s festive collection, often synonymous and famed for its intricate designs and dazzling styles, will include a wide range of ethnic wear that allows consumers to revel in the festive season in style.

About the film:

The film emphasizes the joy of celebrating festive traditions with loved ones and is set in the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja. It opens with Saif, who is on a video call with Soha, cooking the quintessential Bengali Bhoger Khichdi. Though satisfied with his meal, he cannot shake off the feeling of missing a key ingredient. The brother-sister duo debate over what it could be, before Saif reveals it by opening the Myntra app on his phone. Soha soon receives and then unwraps a Myntra box to get pleasantly surprised by a gorgeous ‘House of Pataudi’ dress.

Realizing it was Saif who sent the gift, Soha is quick to show off her elegance in the ‘House of Pataudi’ Salwar. Saif, himself draped in a luxurious ‘House of Pataudi’ Kurta, was missing the ethnic touch that comes with such occasions during the festive season and the film closes out with the siblings sharing a light-hearted moment. Talking about the film, Hina Khan said, “Hacked is a movie that mirrors and explores the dark side of the digital world and the dangers of cybercrime. The role was quite different from what I have done in the past and took me some time to get a hang of the character but it was a challenge worth taking up. Elaborating about his role and the film, Rohan Shah said, “In this social media savvy age, I play the role of an 18-year-old who falls in love with an older girl. However, as the story progresses his love transforms into an obsession and social media has a major part to play in their story. This is the first time I am playing such an intense character and it was a great experience. I got so invested and involved in the role that even when I wasn’t shooting, I used to get aggressive. But with time I learnt different ways to deal with those strong emotions. In the movie, my character is primarily the reason behind all the twists in the film, so it’s like a dream come true for an actor. Saif Ali Khan to return as the menacing villain one more time for Om Raut directed Adipurush produced by Bhushan Kumar

Saif Ali Khan left everyone stunned with his terrific villainous performance in Om Raut’s directorial Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Now, he’s all set to step into the shoes of India’s greatest villain ever in Adipurush – a magnum opus that marks the trio – Saif Ali Khan, Om Raut and Bhushan Kumar’s second collaboration together after Tanhaji. Saif has been signed on to play the prime antagonist in the period saga – who’s menacing, lethal and brutal, all at the same time.

Talking of actors his age, Saif has cut out a completely different space for himself, thanks to his powerful choices in films. At a time when films high on concept and content are setting new standards, the Nawab has been willing to experiment and how. Plus, his acting prowess as a performer and his towering on screen presence make him a perfect match for all kinds of roles.

Previously too, Saif has won a lot of accolades while playing the antagonist in several films – whether it’s as Langda Tyagi in Omkara or as Udaybhan Rathod in the recently released Tanhaji. In Adipurush, which is an on-screen adaptation of the Indian epic, that revolves around the triumph of good over evil, Saif will be stepping into the role of a larger than life villain.

Producer Bhushan Kumar tells us, “Saif blew us all over with his role as Udaybhan in Tanhaji, he takes it a notch higher with his role in Adipurush. He is the perfect choice in this battle between good and evil with Prabhas.”

Adipurush will be shot bilingual in Hindi and Telugu. The 3D extravaganza will have a humongous release with the film dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages.

The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar & Rajesh Nair, is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors in 2021 and hit the marquee with a massive release in 2022.
