IIM Udaipur Opens Applications of its Full-Time 1-Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management and Digital Enterprise Management for 2022-2023

Udaipur: Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIMU) has announced opening of applications for its one-year MBAs in Global Supply Chain Management and Digital Enterprise Management for the academic session 2022-2023. Applications are to be submitted online through its website www.iimu.ac.in and open on July 7th, 2021. The programs are 12-month full-time residential MBA programs. IIM Udaipur is the only IIM offering a 1-year full-time MBA in Global Supply Chain Management and the only Institute in India offering a 1-year full-time MBA in the Digital domain. The programs are open to graduates in any discipline and with 3+ years’ work experience in any domain, who meet the eligibility criteria and qualify in the selection process.

The 8th batch of GSCM that passed out this year received an average CTC of 19.27 lakhs per annum with the highest package being 34.98 LPA. The companies included Accenture Strategy, BNY Mellon, Bristlecone, Cognizant, Delhivery, DP World, Jain Irrigations Systems Ltd.,

ThoughtWorks, and Walmart Labs. The first Batch DEM Batch of 2020-21 has averaged CTC of 19.3 lakhs/annum with highest at 29.7 lakhs/annum. The Recruiters have included leading Companies like Accenture Strategy & Consulting, CGI Inc, Cognizant, Deloitte, LatentView Analytics, Persistent Systems and ThoughtWorks.

Eligibility criteria

• Minimum of 10+2 years of school education and 3 years of university education with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline
• Valid GMAT score, or valid GRE score, or CAT scores of tests taken in 2018 or later
• Full-time work experience (after graduation) of minimum 36 months as of February 28, 2022

317 students conferred MBA degree at IIM Udaipur’s 9th Annual Convocation

Udaipur: Indian Institute of Management Udaipur hosted its 9th Annual Convocation for its Two-Year MBA (Batch 2019-21), and One-Year MBA in- Global Supply Chain Management and Digital Enterprise Management (Batches 2020-21) in virtual mode on Friday, 23rd April 2021. The virtual event was presided over by Mr. Pankaj Patel, Chairman & MD, ZydusCadila and Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Udaipur and participated in by Prof Janat Shah, Director IIM Udaipur, Prof Rajesh Agrawal, Chairperson 1 Year MBA Program Committee and Prof Sandhya Bhatia, Chairperson, 2-year MBA Program Committee.

Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Executive Chairman of Biocon Ltd.was the Chief Guest.

Witnessing the live webcast were other BOG Members, Advisory Group Members of the One-year MBA Programs, Faculty members and staff of IIM Udaipur, alumni and graduating students, with their family members.
A total of 317 students graduated in the convocation of IIMU’s Two-Year MBA (batch 2019-21) and One-Year MBA GSCM and DEM, (batches 2020-21).
Addressing the graduating students in her speech ‘Reimagining Our Future’, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chief Guest, said, “Covid-19 is not the first pandemic that humanity has faced. We need to reimagine our future with hope and purpose as every adversity creates unprecedented opportunities. Technology backed startups are mushrooming everywhere and businesses are pivoting, presenting opportunities for every single sector. The country needs students like you to convert the challenges of the aftermath of Covid-19 into opportunities. As leaders of tomorrow, I congratulate all of you and urge you to pursue your path with a sense of purpose.”

In his welcome address, Pankaj Patel, Chairman, said, “IIMU challenges its students to expand their knowledge and intellectual horizon so they transform and impact the society at large. The convocation is a landmark event for all of the graduating students. Our students received offers from the most sought after roles from prominent firms in India and abroad irrespective of conditions. IIMU started its journey with a clear vision in place which includes the commitment to thought-leadership and high-quality research and developing managers prepared to be tomorrow’s leaders. The ambition to become a globally recognized management institute by 2030 has consciously created a culture that values collegiality and accessibility. I congratulate all the graduating students.”

In his concluding address, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “It was a very challenging time for the IIMU community last year. The graduating batch will remain a special batch for IIM Udaipur for their contribution and efforts. Management is the noblest of professions if practiced well. No other occupation offers as many ways to help others learn and grow. I request the graduating class to understand this gift that you have received and strive to be an exemplary leader.”

The convocation ceremony marked the beginning of a decade since establishment of IIM Udaipur in 2011.

Kunal Jain was awarded a gold medal for scholastic performance in the One-year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) Course. Radhika Gupta was awarded a Gold Medal in One-year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) Course. Kalam Kishore Reddy, Anup Kumar and Lovish Mittal were jointly awarded Gold Medal for scholastic performance in the Two-year MBA Course. Sharda Kiran of Two-year MBA (Batch 2019-21) Course was adjudged the Best All-Round Student.

IIM Udaipur completes 100% placements for its One Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management

Udaipur: IIM Udaipur has successfully completed 100% Placement for the One-Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management for the Batch of 2020-21. The batch received an average CTC of 19.27 lakhs per annum with the highest package being 34.98 LPA.

The institute’s 8th GSCM batch has received offers from 9 firms, with 5 recruiters partnering with the institute for the first time. The companies included Accenture Strategy, BNY Mellon, Bristlecone, Cognizant, Delhivery, DP World, Jain Irrigations Systems Ltd., ThoughtWorks, and Walmart Labs. In sector-wise break-up, around 37% of the offers were made by Consulting firms followed by 26% offers by Logistics, 26% from Tech and remaining 11% offers from BFSI and Manufacturing.

IIM Udaipur students bagged some of the most sought-after consulting roles in Supply Chain, Operations, Sourcing & Procurement and Project Management at Accenture Strategy, Bristlecone and ThoughtWorks. Other prominent profiles offered to the students spanned across the domains such as Product Management, Operations Excellence, Supply Chain and Business Development.

IIM Udaipur has continued its growth despite the challenging covid times by attracting new and renowned names from the industry. The top 10 percentile of the batch secured an average CTC of ₹34,97,647; the top 20 percentile secured an average of ₹30,83,907; and the top 50 percentile received an average CTC of ₹23,33,363.

IIM Udaipur’s Cultural Fest- Audacity’21 ‘The Carnival Of Aravalis’ concludes

Udaipur: IIM Udaipur concluded its two-day long Annual Cultural Fest, Audacity ’21, on 13th and 14th March at IIMU Balicha Campus. The cultural extravaganza had a mix of both online and offline events, with the theme ‘The Carnival of Aravalis’.

This year, Audacity hosted live concerts by artists such as Benny Dayal, Mame Khan, Lost Stories, magic show by Karan Singh, standup comedy performance by Anirban Dasgupta and DJ night with DJ Vibhor. The B-school held over 30 events such as Treasure Hunt, Solo Singing, Antakshri, Royal Enfield event, Body
Zorbing and Bull Riding with one of the highlights being Mr. & Ms. Audacity.

This year, in spite of the constraints due to COVID, the fest was conducted successfully while following all the social distancing guidelines and keeping in mind the necessary precautions. The event was supported by various industry leaders such as Secure Meters, Royal Enfield, Safexpress, Ramee Royal Resorts & Spa Udaipur and many more.

Audacity is held every year and aims to provide an outlet for the students’ creative side and a platform to showcase their diverse talents.

IIM Udaipur continues to be in the league of top Global B-schools in QS 2021 MIM Rankings

Udaipur: Indian Institute of Management Udaipur ranked in the 101+ List across 30 countries in QS 2021 Masters in Management Rankings, maintaining its listing for the second consecutive year. In the 2021 edition, the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur was listed amongstthe top 68% of the 148 programs that were globally assessed, said the report.

The rankings are compiled based on five key metrics: Employability, Entrepreneurship and Alumni Success, Return on Investment, Thought Leadership, and Class and Faculty Diversity.

IIM Udaipur Completes Summer Placements; Highest Stipend Increases by 20%

Udaipur: IIM Udaipur completed the Summer Placement process for the Batch of 2020-22. With the largest and the most diverse batch in its 10-year history, 322 eligible candidates sought placements through the Institute.

Reaching greater heights, the Institute’s 10th batch received offers from more than a hundred firms, with 60 recruiters partnering with the Institute for the first time. Some of the prominent firms to join the recruiters’ list for Summer Placements are Accenture Strategy, Accenture Technology, Adani Group, AliveCor India, Asian Paints, BNY Mellon, Casio, Cisco Systems, Del Monte, Hindustan Unilever, Kalpataru, Magicbricks, Puma, Renault, and Samsung R&D.

On this achievement, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “This patronage of the industry in IIM Udaipur’s Summer Placements, despite challenges of the Covid pandemic, is a reflection of the intrinsic faith it has in the Institute and the talent of its students. IIM Udaipur has continued its growth trajectory – with the highest stipend for the batch reaching ₹3,00,000 – an increase of 20% from last year, that was offered in the FMCG and Consulting sector. The top 10 percentile secured an average stipend of ₹2,09,032, the top 20 percentile secured an average of ₹1,67,150, and the top 50 percentile received an average stipend of ₹1,08,000.

The number of offers made in the E-commerce sector saw a remarkable upswing, increasing by more than 100% compared to last year. Additionally, IIM Udaipur students bagged some of the most sought-after Investment Banking roles at Goldman Sachs and HSBC. Several past recruiters including Aditya Birla Capital, Amul, Bajaj Auto, Baker Hughes, BPCL, Capgemini, Cummins, Droom, Gartner, General Electric, HPCL, ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombard, KPMG, Kuber Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Lubrizol, MakeMyTrip, OfBusiness, Reserve Bank of India, Secure Meters, Sesa Care, Sutherland, TAFE, Tata Capital, Titan, Vedanta Limited, Wonder Cement, Yes Bank, and ZoomCar also returned to the campus.

Profiles offered to the students spanned across the domains of Analytics, Finance, HR, Operations, and Sales & Marketing with the highest number of offers made in Sales & Marketing.

As a part of the summer internship process of 2021, ‘Project Maverick’ was launched for fast-growing start-ups as the first program of its kind by an Indian B-school. More than 10 start-ups enrolled for the program this year and got the opportunity to choose from a pool of 36 students. All the candidates were placed within 2 weeks from the time the companies started conducting the processes.

IIM Udaipur invites applications for the 2021-22 intake of its PG Diploma in Business Administration for Working Executives

Udaipur: Indian Institute of Management Udaipur has opened admission for the second edition of its 20-month Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration for Working Executives (PGDBAWE) Program for working professionals.

IIMU allows full/part fee sponsorship of the candidates by their current employers, as well as enrollment of working professionals directly with their financial arrangement. Company permission is though needed to attend the weekend classes in the latter case.

Prof Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur said, “The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration for Working Executives is structured around career-advancement, leadership and strategy, and provides a well-rounded exposure to business management. IIM Udaipur Becomes the National Finalist in Global Management Challenge (GMC) India 2020

Jaipur: In one of the world’s largest strategy and management competition, Global Management Challenge (GMC) organized by SDG- Simuladores e Modelos de Gestão, IIM Udaipur became the National Finalists for GMC India 2020.  GMC consists of a management simulation where corporates and B-schools participate as teams and manage a virtual company for over five weeks. Their target is to achieve the highest investment performance for the company’s shareholders. In this year’s management competition where all top B-schools of India, including IIMs, participated, seven teams from IIM Udaipur reached the National qualification round, out of the 54 selected. Further, eight teams were declared as the National finalists, out of which IIMU GSCM (Global Supply Chain Management) was one of them.

IIM Udaipur Invites Applications for India’s only One Year Full Time MBA in Digital Enterprise Management

Indian Institute of Management Udaipur is inviting applications for the second batch of its path-breaking full-time one-year MBA program in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM). The DEM program is India’s only one-year, full-time MBA program for experienced professionals who wish to build or enhance their managerial career in the digital domain. It is aimed at equipping managers and leaders to work efficiently in the fast-changing and emerging digital business enterprises where conventional management concepts and leadership styles are found wanting. The DEM program develops a talent for digital business leadership and entrepreneurship.

This is a full-time, residential program, and admission is through the GMAT/GRE/CAT (2018 onward) exams. The DEM program requires candidates to be holding a graduate degree from a recognised University and 3+ years of work experience. Announcing the opening of the admission season, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur said, “The DEM program aims at developing Business Leaders who will drive the Digital Economy.
