Ampersand Group ushers in New Beginnings 2021 across schools in India

New Delhi: In an effort to spread positivity and cheer for the forthcoming year, schools across the country operated and managed by Ampersand Group celebrated the ‘New Beginnings for 2021. Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary Schools from Punjab, Balwadis of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and Ministry of Women & Child Development-run Anganwadis took part in welcoming the New Year through various activities.

Teachers and students across schools were encouraged to share and post messages online by tagging #NewBeginnings and #MyEducationMyPath to usher the New Year with zeal and to share innovative ideas to compliment blended learning in the coming year.

The students and teachers shared videos, photos, write-ups on #MyWishForTheWorld along with home experiments they learned during lockdown and innovative methods of learning. In addition, students were encouraged to share their thoughts on topics like positives from 2020, benefits on online learning and how it helped in maintaining continuity of education, learnings from Covid-19 and on precautions they would take on the resumption of schools.

At least 10 winning students will be felicitated by Mr. Rustom Kerawalla, Chairman, Ampersand Group and Mr. Vinesh Menon, Chief Executive Officer, Education, Skilling & Consulting Services, Ampersand Group for their innovative ideas for learning. All these schools have been participating in various activities during the COVID-19 pandemic when educational institutions switched to online learning owing to the lockdown across India.

Ampersand Group conducted online activities like celebrating Teacher’s Day and Children’s Day during the pandemic to make learning educational and fun while trained teachers through online mechanisms from Jammu & Kashmir to Tamil Nadu ensuring upskilling during the lockdown.

Ampersand Group celebrates Children’s Week across India

The Children’s Week celebrations was commenced by Ampersand Group which operates and manages pre-primary to K12 schools across India reaching out to over 25,000 students with this initiative.

The Children’s Week had the participation of the Anganwadis in Nashik which is under Public Private Partnership with the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Balwadis under the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai in Maharashtra, and Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary Schools in Punjab. Ampersand Group launched the celebrations to enable students to share and post messages online by tagging #ForUsEveryDayIsChildren’sDay and #HappyChildren’sDay.

The week-long celebrations are been held virtually owing to the lockdown of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, Ampersand Group also extended its support to the Government of Maharashtra’s recent announcement of “Children’s Week” celebrations across the state and urged students to participate and post videos using #baldivas2020.

Students started posting inspirational messages with many of them thanking their teachers for conducting online lectures during the pandemic. Students uploaded videos of them reciting poems, drew portraits of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and also dressed as the former prime minister. They also shared videos of their ambitions, drawings, photographs of their activities conducted during the week. Teachers also posted messages for the students who they have been teaching over the past several years.
This is among the largest exercise conducted during the lockdown by Ampersand Group with the students after they initiated the #ThankYouTeacher campaign on account of Teacher’s Day on September 5.

Ampersand Group’s digital intervention in PPP initiatives to democratise education, upskill teachers win accolades

Ampersand Group, an end to end school management services provider bagged an array of awards at the recently concluded The Future of Tech Congress & Awards’ – The Internet Entrepreneur Awards and at the 7th Edition of the National Awards for Marketing Excellence held virtually in Mumbai.

Ampersand Group has partnered several state governments, central ministries, and local bodies from Jammu & Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and were awarded a hat-trick of awards during ‘The Future of Tech Congress & Awards’ – The Internet Entrepreneur Awards.

They bagged the Best Teacher Training Of The Year for training teachers in Balwadis under the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Anganwadis in Nashik under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, Tribal Development Department, Thane, Government of Maharashtra, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Government of Tamil Nadu, Central Tibetan School Administration in Uttarakhand and West Bengal, among others.

They were also awarded the Best Vocational Education Of The Year for imparting vocational training and skilling in nearly 20 states with a capacity of over 81,000 students in over a dozen areas and also for the Best Preschool Operations & Management Of The Year for operating Balwadis under the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and Anganwadis in Nashik under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India.

In addition, Ampersand Group also bagged the National Award for Marketing Excellence in Education at the 7th Edition of the National Awards for Marketing Excellence for its Online Teacher Training in Jammu & Kashmir amidst lockdown due to Sars-CoV-2 despite the presence of limited internet services through a robust platform catering to nearly 100 teachers remotely and impacting thousands of students in the process.

Ampersand Group had also rolled out a nationwide #ThankYouTeacher campaign to extend gratitude towards teachers for their unrelenting support towards maintaining continuity in education during the central lockdown.
