DPS Indirapuram hosts a Grand Farewell celebration for Class XII students
Giving a ceremonious farewell to the students of Class 12th, DPS Indirapuram, one of the top-tier academic institutions of India, organized a cultural dance festival to provide an entertainment extravaganza to students as they bid adieu to their alma mater.
The grand farewell program had staged everything in resonance with students’ liking. Popular songs, foot-tapping dance numbers, and wistful school-life depictions in skits touched students’ hearts and offered limitless entertainment to them at the same time.
A Felicitation ceremony was also organized to honour students who showcased outstanding performances across diverse fields such as scholastics, dance, music, fine arts, oratory, quiz, MUN, dramatics, social service, etc. DPS Indirapuram felicitated 36 students who had outperformed themselves in different categories. 34 students were given gold medals as they received the scholar badge for seven consecutive years.
Some students also won coveted titles at the farewell function. ‘Mr. Dynamic’ title was bagged by Ritwij Jha, and ‘Ms. Dynamic’ title was awarded to Sakshi Singh. Neelansh Singh won the title of Mr. DPS Indirapuram, and Adya Pandey bagged the title of ‘Ms. DPS Indirapuram’.
The Cake Cutting ceremony witnessed a poignant reunion of Class XII students with their teachers, and the group collectively cut the cake. The closing highlight was the Dancing on DJ program, which saw everyone dancing in merriment.
Sangeeta Hajela, Principal, DPS Indirapuram, said, “The Grand farewell function was organized for our 12th Standard students as they are all set to give their Board exams and move on to the next phase of their lives. We ensured that they had the best time in the last few days of school and gave them loads of happy memories to share with their family and friends.”
