Yulu crosses 1 billion km milestone in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April 16: Yulu, the Bengaluru-born shared electric mobility platform, announced that its electric vehicles (EVs) have collectively surpassed 1 billion kilometres of rides in the city. With a fleet of over 22,500 EVs on the road, Yulu continues to lead Bengaluru’s short-distance mobility segment, catering to deliveries, daily commutes, and leisure travel.

Demonstrating its scale and impact, Yulu has powered over 190 million doorstep deliveries in Bengaluru while helping eliminate 27 million kilogrammes of CO₂ emissions through its EV-sharing platform. This reduction is equivalent to the annual emissions of approximately 18,500 cars, underscoring the company’s contribution to sustainable urban mobility.

Bengaluru remains a key market for Yulu, which also operates in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Hyderabad. Across these cities, Yulu’s 46,000 EVs have collectively clocked 2 billion green kilometres, preventing 54 million kilogrammes of CO₂ emissions nationwide.

With a presence across major pincodes in Bengaluru—from Peenya to Whitefield and Hebbal to Electronic City—Yulu has built a dense and accessible mobility network. Its infrastructure includes 16 Yulu Centres and over 700 Yulu Zones, enabling efficient and on-demand access in high-demand areas.

Yulu’s vertically integrated mobility ecosystem, supported by AI-driven fleet management, predictive maintenance, and a robust energy network through Yuma Energy, ensures high vehicle availability and operational efficiency. This has positioned Yulu as a leading platform in the quick commerce delivery segment, where it plays a significant role in supporting last-mile logistics.

In March 2026 alone, Yulu enabled 8.5 million deliveries—nearly 300,000 per day—highlighting its growing importance in Bengaluru’s delivery economy. At a national level, Yulu riders have completed over 400 million green deliveries.

Beyond e-commerce and quick commerce, Yulu is also expanding into the on-demand household services sector, contributing to improved livelihood opportunities, including for women gig workers.

Commenting on the milestone, Amit Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Yulu, said,

“Bengaluru has always been at the heart of Yulu’s journey. Nine years since our inception, we are proud to remain the preferred choice for last-mile mobility in the city. Achieving the 1 billion-kilometre milestone is just the beginning, as we continue to drive technology-led EV adoption that is sustainable, affordable, and accessible to millions.”

Looking ahead, Yulu plans to expand its Bengaluru fleet to 35,000–40,000 EVs over the coming year, with the goal of enabling up to 20 million deliveries per month. The company also aims to further deepen its presence across neighbourhoods, strengthening its role in shaping the future of urban mobility.
