More than 250 brands from Mumbai to participate at Apparel Manufacturers of India’s ADVAIT 2.0 in Chennai

AMI LogoMumbai, 07th August 2023: Well-known and established apparel brands from Mumbai are all set to attend ADVAIT 2.0, hosted by Apparel Manufacturers of India (AMI) and supported by Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC), in Chennai this month. More than 250 MSMEs are participating in this Mega South Conclave, which will be spread across 4 days, starting 16th August to 19th August at Chennai Trade Centre.

Some key brands who are participating are Reliance Retail Fashion Brands, Red & White, 90 ML, R-wings, Tiny Baby, Betty, Pretty Women, Femi Design, Era- the in-thing, Final Choice, PARI/ PARITA, Myra, N-Tique, Vimal Fashion. The brands will showcase their latest festive collections to retailers and MBOs present at the conclave.

The platform acts as a great boost for MSMEs in the apparel industry, allowing them to grow exponentially in the southern markets.

Apparel Manufactures of India is one of India’s prominent and renowned apparel groups of manufacturers and traders, which aims at bridging the gap between manufacturers, retailers, agents, and suppliers to build a robust community for evolution and growth opportunities. They work in sync to add meaning to the entire value chain of the readymade apparel market across India.

To date, they have conducted 39 successful fairs across Southern India. Their first zonal fair took place in 2018 and saw more than 3500 visitors, generating sales orders of more than 100 crores.

Speaking on ADVAIT 2.0, Dharmesh Nandu – Founder, of Apparel Manufacturers of India said, “We at AMI are elated with the response we have received from the brands in Mumbai. With each year, we have seen an upward addition in the participation brands. ADVAIT 2.0 is a humble effort by us to provide a platform for the entire community to grow and build valuable connections. The fair will see retailers from primarily across Southern India attending the event to explore new designs, styles, and cuts for the upcoming festive season.”

Market sentiments and customer preferences have shifted dramatically in the last 2-3 years, particularly following Covid, and this is an important phase for the apparel industry to come together once again and allow businesses to demonstrate their resilience and innovations”, he further added.

This year’s venue is spread over 1 lac sq. ft. and each participating brand will be provided generous space to present their collection.
