Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council

In an effort to enhance skills and creativity, the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council conducted India Skills 2021.

Those aspiring to be beauty professionals shared a common desire and dais to take their skills to the next level

Under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the Beauty and Wellness Sector Training Council (B&WSSC) launched India Skills 2021 Regional Competition (North).

SPECIALIZING IN BEAUTY THERAPY & HAIRDRESSING. Students aspiring to be beauty industry professionals gathered in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttarakhand, J&k, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Chandigarh aiming to compete and show off their abilities and nurture their skills. The competition got underway in Chandigarh today. Students were nurtured, motivated to gain skills in the fields which they chose.

The event was organised by Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) that spearheaded India Skills participation in two trades – BEAUTY THERAPY & HAIRDRESSING. In the current cycle of the India Skills 2021 competition, both the participating trades of B&WSSC secured the highest number of registrations by the competitors.

Dr. Blossom Kochhar – Chairperson, B&WSSC while sharing her thoughts said – “I am so happy that India Skills is back again after COVID. I would like to wish all the competitors the very best. I am sure that our chief experts Vaishali and Samantha with chief mentor Richa Agarwal and the judges will uphold the standards of the competition, as they have done in the past. And big thank you to all people for putting this together.”

Ms. Monica Bahl – CEO, B&WSSC expressed her thoughts & said – “It’s a pleasure to see such great talent being nurtured in the Beauty & Wellness Industry. The optimism of these young Indians today is worth watching. Kudos to each one of them. Also gracing the occasion were Jaikant Singh – Senior Head, WorldSkills India.

Chief Mentor, Richa Aggarwal, Who stated, This was an occasion where students from different corners of India participated and shared a common platform to put forward their passion for art in beauty.

ABOUT Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC):

B&WSSC is not for profit organization promoted by CII with financial support from NSDC, under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The aim is to establish an effective and efficient eco-system for the development and imparting of skills in the Beauty and Wellness industry including content & curriculum, courses, information databases, delivery systems, standardization of the accreditation, and certification process to enhance employability of the Indian workforce globally.
