From AI to medicine to electrical vehicles to solar power, the pace of progress is defying expectations. It’s a cause for optimism when it comes to technology’s ability to change things for the better. A lot of people worry it’s going to take jobs, or somehow turn evil, or wipe out humanity. Paris, 29 February 2024: At a press conference held in Paris, Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer, Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director, Vogue; accompanied by Bruno Pavlovsky, President, Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and President, CHANEL Fashion; designers Pharrell Williams, Simon Porte Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, and Marine Serre—with French athletes and Olympic hopefuls Enzo Lefort (fencing), Carlota Dudek (breakdancing), Erwan Konaté (track & field), Tiavo Randrianisa (taekwondo)—announced that the third annual Vogue World will take place in Paris on Sunday, 23 June 2024, International Olympic Day. The evening will kick off Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, one month before the 2024 Paris Olympics Games.

Continuing the precedent set by Vogue World’s debut in New York in 2022 with a fashion show and street fair and 2023’s

Vogue World: London, a spectacular evening at the theater benefiting the performing arts, the third edition in Paris will be a tribute to the Olympic opening ceremonies, celebrating 100 years of fashion and sports, as well as Paris itself.

Vogue World: Paris will collaborate with youth sports academies from all over Paris and around the country to celebrate ten different sporting disciplines within the show (track and field, cycling, swimming, equestrian sports, fencing, gymnastics, martial arts, tennis, breakdancing, football)—with each sport paired with a theme of French fashion for every decade since 1924, the last time that Paris hosted the Olympics.

Vogue World: Paris will come to life at Place Vendôme, a location emblematic of both Paris and the history of fashion.

Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer, Condé Nast, and Global Editorial Director, Vogue, said: “I am delighted that Vogue World has found its third home here in Paris. If Vogue World: New York was a street fair and Vogue World: London was an opening night at the theater, Paris will be a tribute to the Olympic Games. And it’s a dream to make the Place Vendôme Vogue World’s home—I can’t think of a setting that better captures the city’s rich history and glamour.”

Vogue is committed to making a meaningful impact by donating a portion of the net proceeds from ticket sales to the Paris 2024 charitable tickets program in association with Secours populaire, a humanitarian organization dedicated to granting individuals in low-income households the unique opportunity to attend the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization also facilitates access to essential equipment for aspiring athletes across France.

The team behind Vogue World includes Anna Wintour and Mark Guiducci, Creative Editorial Director, Vogue, with support from many global teams.  Dame Pat McGrath and Pat McGrath Labs are returning to lead makeup design and execution. For the third year, production will be overseen by Bureau Betak, and Vogue World’s livestream will be produced by Den of Thieves and directed by Sam Wrench, the director of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film. Vogue is also set to collaborate with communications agencies Lucien Pagès and KCD Paris.
