The metaverse is about creating a single, universal, connected, online and virtual world. To foster emotional resilience in this online world, we need to create social and emotional spaces. For human beings to effectively learn, adapt, and flourish, they need to feel socially connected and emotionally safe.

Releasing a vision document on the decennial celebrations of UNESCO MGIEP, Director Dr. Anantha Duraiappah said “Education must transform itself to be relevant for our future generations who live in the mixed reality. The metaverse is here to stay and we cannot let learners disappear in it. Instead, we must embrace a mixed reality of the physical and virtual worlds. This digital education must be informed by the best science and evidence. IHEM has been designed to do just that.”

Sudhanva Dhananjaya, MD & CEO, Excelsoft Technologies said “Excelsoft is pleased to be a partner in the proposed Centre of Excellence on Metaverse. Authored Article on Future of AI and Its Impact on Jobs.

By Vimal Daga, Founder Linux World (P)ltd, Technology Expert and Philanthropist

There is no reason and no way that a human mind can keep up with an artificial intelligence machine by 2035.” —Gray Scott.
“Sooner or later, the U.S. will face mounting job losses due to advances in automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics.” —Oren Etzioni.

Despite the fact that these statements and observations certainly raise alarms, there is a growing concern and apprehension that technology is on the verge of replacing human jobs in the near future, as a result of the emergence, evolution, and expansion of artificial intelligence.

There is no doubt in our minds that technology has engulfed almost every field and sphere of life in almost all its incarnations in the modern world. While it appears to be under its control, we are not certain to what extent it is under its control. As the saying goes, there is always more than one side to a story. There is no exception to this rule when it comes to technology as well. In terms of using artificial intelligence as a tool for creating more jobs, there are two schools of thought. Some view it as a threat to human jobs, while others see it as a tool that can assist in creating more of them.

I believe that robots and artificial intelligence, in my view, are not there to steal our bread and butter. Instead, they are there to make our lives a bit easier in some way. A lot of opportunities will be presented to human beings in the future as a result of robots and artificial intelligence. Although almost 1.7 million jobs have been lost to automation since 2000, according to the prediction and the study, artificial intelligence is expected to create 97 million new jobs by 2025, despite the fact that almost 1.7 million have been lost to it since 2000.

Essentially, you are now beginning to see how this technology can actually serve as a tool for humans to help them in the long run and it cannot just be viewed as a negative thing. There is no doubt in my mind that artificial intelligence is going to be the driving force in the near future. It will have a profound impact on the world as we know it in the not-too-distant future.

A lot of differences exist between people, and one of them is that some people are very excited when they learn something new, whereas others have a rather gloomy or doomy picture in their minds as they are learning about the same event.

We need to stay comfortable with the fact that AI will not be able to replace all jobs, and we have to remain firm in our understanding of that. A number of specific profiles are available that require a high level of creativity, empathic work, and last-minute complex political frameworks. Teachers, writers, designers, lawyers, social workers, defense people, medical professionals, and others cannot be substituted with artificial intelligence or robots for any reason.

There are many fields that can be aided by the technological advancements of artificial intelligence in the near future, including all those mentioned above. But these can’t replicate the human touch or emotional string that these fields require.

As we enter the era of digitalization, there is a demand on the part of humans to join hands with a new world, and of course, we will have to do so with the help of technology, since the presence of technology in our daily lives requires that we adapt to its presence. The benefits that AI can bring to the workplace are in high demand. In spite of this, however, it should not change the fact that the human touch will always be a trend as well as a necessity.

According to experts, the role of artificial intelligence will be a boon to mankind. There is a possibility to reduce the amount of time that humans spend doing tedious tasks that are undoubtedly a part of their overall responsibilities. The result? It is expected that the resource will be able to focus on compprojects. This will allow him to be of greatest benefit to both the employer and the resource.

It is a fact of life that change is constant. There is no way to avoid the consequences of change, but we must be prepared to adapt to them. To survive, we must become comfortable with the idea that things will change from time to time.

There is an enormous change coming – a better, more advanced, new world is on its way – and we’ve got to pull our socks up because it’s time for a big change. It is only a matter of time before we start taking action instead of whining about it. In the context of re-adjustments, there are a lot of sacrifices involved. It is absolutely unfair and reckless to not prepare for the future and to only despair in the present. In addition to that, a person’s ability to show kindness, compassion, empathy, and love for one another is always going to be valued as an asset not only in the present but also in the future. No technology can replace the power of kindness, and it will always prevail over all other factors. It is evident that research in the field of artificial intelligence is expanding at an exponential rate. A wide variety of applications are being used in almost every segment of the market. In some way or another, these include autonomous cars, education, infrastructure, defense, health, social security, cancer detection, and the production of agricultural yield models in a variety of different ways.

Additionally, it is also worthwhile to note that there are a large number of platforms that offer degrees and certifications in AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. However, there are very few people who are qualified to fill these positions. As a result of the shortage of skilled employees, there is currently a shortage of seekers. This has led to a sloppy hiring process as a result, which has delayed the deft introduction of intelligent machines into the workplace, as a consequence.

As there is intense competition between all types of jobs, machine learning and artificial intelligence jobs face considerably less competition than jobs in other types of jobs. This is despite the fact that there is intense competition between all types of jobs. There are an increasing number of specialized engineering jobs on the market, but there are still a great number of positions that have not been filled. An additional factor that contributes to the shortage of skilled talent on the market is the scarcity of qualified people to fill these jobs.

The AI research spectrum is expanding. From autonomous cars to models for cancer detection, the use cases touch almost every segment. In the same vein, there are a variety of platforms offering degrees and certifications in AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning at the same time. However, the number of employees in these fields is very low.

AI will create a distinct dividing line of jobs that are able to be mastered if they are properly trained and taught, which will override the threat to unskilled jobs. Despite the fact that many jobs have been taken over by artificial intelligence, there are still a lot of jobs you can find if you keep learning and upskilling yourself.

Allegis conducted a global survey that turned out to have some really interesting data points. Twenty-one percent of respondents viewed AI as something that they were excited about, according to the survey. The results of a survey conducted by 17 percent of respondents indicate that there is a strong belief among them that artificial intelligence will disrupt and enable the employment of people within the next ten years. There are, however, only 9 percent of people who believe that artificial intelligence will displace most of jobs in the future.

There is no doubt that artificial intelligence will become capable of performing human-like functions in the near future, replacing certain kinds of jobs that require human attributes also creating new employment opportunities.

The trending job profiles in the years to come to include machine learning engineers, deep learning engineers, artificial intelligence trainers, natural language processing engineers, artificial intelligence specialists, deep learning engineers – computer vision, as well as a variety of combinations such as AI & Deep Learning, Deep Learning & Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Data Scientists, etc.

In a report published by the World Economic Forum, 50% of all tasks at work will be automated by machines by the year 2025, compared to 29% currently. This is an increase from 29% today, according to the report. A significant decrease in the number of workers at almost half of the companies in the industry is expected by 2022. However, automation is expected to lead to the creation of new jobs at the same time in the entire industry as a whole. The level of need for specific roles in different regions tends to differ significantly, which is one of the most pertinent things. While there is a lot of hype about artificial intelligence replacing jobs, a lot of this is due to the fact that the type of jobs that are being considered have a lot to do with the kind of jobs that will be replaced. It is true that some aspects of a job can be automated, but there are also aspects of a job that cannot be automatically performed. There is a reasonable chance that artificial intelligence can and will become a part of the jobs of the future in a number of ways.

National Level Mock test organised to strengthen the CLAT preparations for aspirants

In an endeavour to provide the real time simulation and ambience of the actual exam, one of the leading brands in UG preparations, Pratham Test Prep, recently organised an offline All-India Open Mock test for CLAT and AILET aspirants. The main aim of this National level mock exam was to supplement the preparation of CLAT and AILET aspirants by offering them an opportunity to get an accurate national rank and percentile.

The participants were also provided with free access to GK chronicles (month-wise GK PDFs along with 300 GK passages which include 1500 MCQs relevant for a serious CLAT aspirant) and access to Legal Booster PDFs to take their legal section preparation up another notch. The top three national rankers were handed out iPads with toppers from each zone receiving mobile phones worth INR 15,000 along with the Top 30 rankers being offered with Pratham’s Law test prep Mock Test series at Re. 1 only.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ankit Kapoor, Director, Pratham Test Prep said, “In any competitive examination, it becomes extremely crucial for a student to prepare themselves with the help of Mock Tests, same goes in the case for CLAT preparation and ideally, it is important for a student to give at least 10-12 mock tests before appearing for the actual paper. This is where this Pan-India mock test comes in place, to provide a real-life experience to students, helping them figuring out an exam strategy because preparation for any examination is incomplete without mock tests.”

In order to create an authentic experience, students at various test centres were asked to follow the same rules and regulations as that of the real CLAT examination, which included checking at the examination desk, actual collection of the OMR sheets and final dispersal. Each registered candidate who took the exam received a personalized answer sheet analysis along with their national rank and exam percentile. After the examination, a live section-wise mock analysis was also conducted in order to help students discuss the difficulty level and an ideal strategy for the exam while self-analysing their strengths and weaknesses and finding out the areas which need to be improved and worked on.

The mock test was based on the latest CLAT exam pattern and sample papers released by the NLSIU, which not only helped the students to get familiar with the syllabus but also the pattern and type of questions asked, thus providing a real-time experience of the actual exam.

Top 5 advantages of analytics in the field of human resources

– By Sumit Sabharwal, CEO of TeamLease HRtech

The Human Resources division is in charge of making sure that the workplace is productive and that the workers are in a comfortable setting. The HR department typically maintains a record of every applicant and worker that works with them for this purpose, providing them with access to a sizable database of information about the labour force in their company. Whether structured or not, it is used to assess the workforce in order to offer more useful information and make better hiring decisions.

However, HR analytics is more than merely compiling statistics on worker productivity. By gathering data and using it to make informed decisions about how to enhance these processes, it seeks to give insight into each process instead.

HR professionals can use advanced analytics using HR technology to enable:

1. Better hiring: Employers can uncover successful features in their current employees by running machine learning algorithms on them. But doing so can also legitimise prejudices already present in the workplace. In order to ensure that unjustified prior prejudices based on characteristics like gender or ethnicity do not get incorporated into the decision-making, HR managers should examine machine learning outputs. Managers can tailor their brand marketing, outreach, and candidate engagement activities accordingly once they are aware of the ideal prospect for the organization.

2- Increased retention: HR executives can identify the problem’s fundamental cause and forecast when and why employees will quit with the use of attrition analytics. With the help of analytics, it is possible to identify trends in churn and identify employees who are most likely to leave. This can help HR control churn in a proactive manner and adjust their attrition rates. If certain difficulties lead to churn, such information can also help enhance onboarding, training, and performance management systems.

3- A deeper comprehension of motivation and output: Discovering the factors that influence motivation and output can aid in establishing HR strategy, which includes training, performance management, and other HR regulations. For instance, if it is possible to examine the productivity of remote employees, the company’s policy towards remote work might be improved.

4- Objective performance management: Mid-year reviews are dreaded because they are ineffective and subjective. Granular performance data can enable face-to-face reviews with data-supported face-to-face feedback that is objective, frequent, and automatic.

5- Better comprehension of corporate culture: HR managers can gain a thorough understanding of company morale and culture by using sentiment and network analysis of anonymized employee communication. Care must be taken to protect anonymity because this task necessitates the study of private and secret data.

Power Resides with Citizens in a True Democracy: Hon’ble Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar at JGU’s 8th Dr L M Singhvi Memorial Lecture

Hyderabad, December 2022: Mentioning how the rights which we now consider as universal were not universal all the time, Hon’ble Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr Justice D.Y. Chandrachud on Friday delivered the 8th Dr L M Singhvi Memorial Lecture hosted by the OP Jindal Global University (JGU), on the theme ‘Universal Adult Franchise: Translating India’s Political Transformation into a Social Transformation’. Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar was the chief guest of the event. Hon’ble Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar also addressed the gathering at the Memorial Lecture and defined that power resides with the citizens in a true democracy through their electoral mandate.

The Lecture commemorated the life and work of diplomat, jurist, lawyer, and Parliamentarian L M Singhvi (1931-2007).

Addressing an august gathering of distinguished guests from the Indian legal and political fraternity at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Justice Chandrachud said, “In India, we find a historic social system in which power was concentrated in the hands of the upper class of society. The rights which we now consider as universal were not universal all the time. They were denied to the oppressed. This was the norm across the world. Those who did not hold power were subjected to several levels of oppression against this power hegemony. Unfortunately, the exercise of democracy was used to retain power by the few the right to vote was controlled and exercised by only those individuals who had already succeeded in society because of their social power and cultural capital. For instance, the right to vote was exercised only by those who had certain properties or educational institutions or qualifications which one the result of not their individual effort but were a reflection of the influence and hegemony their communities had on society. As a result, the idea of democracy itself was controlled by the elites of society. Voting rights were denied to women and members of the marginalized communities because the elite did not want to share the power with them.”

“When the negotiations to give rights to Indians and to draft the constitution were happening in the 20th century, Indian leaders such as Dr B R Ambedkar led a strong demand that the conception of free India cannot happen without giving universal adult franchise. The marginalized communities had to struggle every inch to claim equal rights therefore, the idea of a universal adult franchise is not just a political idea, it’s a social idea and vision at its core. The introduction of universal adult franchise was truly a revolutionary idea at the time when such a right had recently been extended to women, people of color, working class in supposedly mature western democracies. In this regard, our Constitution was a feminist document as well as an egalitarian and socially transformative document, it was a break from the colonial and pre-colonial legacy. The boldest move adopted by the Indian constitution that was a product of Indian imagination. Universal Adult Franchise was a solid determination of India’s founding leaders to create a democratic state. Universal Adult Franchise helped establish a sense of belonging and responsibility among citizens as equal stake holders in the country’s progress. The Indian experiment with the Universal Adult Franchise contradicts all myths against it. Therefore, we must reject every form of elite understanding of the democratic process which we keep hearing constantly that only educated are better decision makers,” he said.

He added how Indian social leaders, such as Jyotiba and Savitribai Phule, coming from the marginalized communities demanded equal citizenship for the oppressed and started initiatives that could educate the masses about their rights. He spoke about the idea of Universal Adult Franchise (UAF) was deliberated and included in the constitutional discourse, leading to the drafting of India’s constitution, as well as how the idea of Panchayati Raj along with UAF led to the deepening of India’s democracy. Speaking about Dr L M Singhvi, he said, “ An astute jurist, a fierce parliamentarian, and a prolific writer, Dr Singhvi was an encyclopedia of knowledge in Indian history and culture. He played an important role in shaping Indian public life through his career as a lawyer as well as a distinguished parliamentarian.”

Speaking at the event, Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar stated, “It was my great privilege to have known Dr L.M. Singhvi. He was a distinguished advocate and a leading Parliamentarian who worked towards translating India’s political transformation Into social Transformation. India is a vibrant democracy with our Parliament becoming increasingly inclusive and diverse after each election. It truly represents the mandate of our citizens. We as a nation are on the rise and this rise is unstoppable. Our strength was clearly demonstrated in our handling of the Covid-19 pandemic especially when compared to other countries. We have developed an ecosystem for effective governance, and it is essential to keep our national interest above all. Power resides with our citizens through their mandate and resolve and this power is reflected through the most scientific mechanisms: legislation! We are proud of the Indian Judiciary which has contributed to protect the rights of our citizens. I am delighted to be a part of the Singhvi Endowment lecture organised by O.P .Jindal Global University and their Vice Chancellor Prof. C. Raj Kumar.”

Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar Founding Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global University said, “It was my great privilege to have known Dr L.M. Singhvi. He was a distinguished advocate and a leading Parliamentarian who worked towards translating India’s Political Transformation Into social Transformation. Singhvi reminisced how his father was a man of ideas and intellectual scholarship and that it took him just a few hours to draft the Constitution Day Charter to commemorate the day the Constitution Day. “He was awarded the rank of a Cabinet Minister to work towards Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas on 9th January, when our Father of the Nation Shri Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi returned to India to lead the freedom movement. He was also seminal in the process of creating an ombudsman which led to the establishment of the Office of the Lokpal and the Lokayukta.”

NEXA Music Brings to Light the Finest Artists of the Country

A.R. Rahman handpicks the top 24 finalists for NEXA Music Season 2 in collaboration with QYUKI Digital Media.

The brand new Season of NEXA Music brings focus on discovering and celebrating emerging artists through the pillars of NEXA Music Lounge and Lab. The NEXA Music Lounge features renowned celebrity artists Clinton Cerejo and Bianca Gomes (Shor Police), Uday Benegal, and Monica Dogra.

As the season began, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited had to say, “NEXA Music is a very innovative curation to see the emerging talent from our country. After the success of Nexa Season 1 the second season of NEXA Music is reaching higher levels. The chosen artists will have the opportunity to compose original English compositions of the global Standard under the guidance and mentorship of notable musicians and will be able to share them globally. Now that the 24 artists have been shortlisted, I wish each participant the best of luck!

It was by no means an easy task. In the words of A.R. Rahman, “By nurturing the next generation of Indian artists, QYUKI and NEXA are creating a much-needed tradition. Shortlisting talents is a challenge in itself because as we all know, India is brimming with aspiring performers, and I can’t wait to hear each one this season.”

After several hours and weeks of deliberation, A.R. Rahman was able to handpick the top 24 contestants for Season 2. These artists will perform their tracks on the NEXA LAB floor. To be published on the NEXA Music YouTube channel.

The entire set has been conceived, designed, managed, and executed exclusively by Qyuki Digital Media Pvt Ltd.

This amalgamation has brought NEXA Music to celebrate the artists in the NEXA Mixer event held on the 24th of November, 2022.
