MediBuddy records an increase of 73% queries in pediatric consultations

India, 4th August 2022: The onset of monsoon brings with it a wholesome rise in ailments of various kinds, especially in children. MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare platform reported an increase of over 73% in queries related to pediatric consultations. Statistical insights from MediBuddy reveal that 52.43% queries reported on the platform were of fever, acute illnesses such as cold, respiratory issues, digestion problems, diarrhea, UTI, and rash-related problems, most of these being common in young children in monsoons.

10.3% parents reached out for a second opinion for their child’s health, 34.78% queries revolved around lactation and feeding for newborn babies while 2.49% parents consulted specialists on vaccination advice for their kids.

However, given the surge in teleconsultations and quick access to specialist pediatricians, parents were able to access timely and quality care even at night-hours by connecting with concerned doctors over MediBuddy’s app.

Growth in payments & eCommerce platforms:

Reflecting on the overall Q1 FY23 earnings performance, Mr Vishal Mehta, Managing Director, Infibeam Avenues Ltd, said, “The return of demand has been tremendous, and it’s ever-growing. We don’t see any demand and economic activities drop in the near future. We have registered TPV growth of 72% year-on-year across our fintech offerings in Q1 FY22-23. As per our internal data, the enormous rise in digital payment transactions was across all sectors.”

“High demand for goods & services from people, has also propelled the demand for business credit from merchants, to attain these increased demands. We have registered a 77% rise year-on-year in our merchant lending business – Express Settlement, ” says Mr. Mehta.

To address the challenge of inadequate payments acceptance infrastructure and eliminate barriers to seamless digital adoption in India, The Company launched CCAvenue mobile app, among the world’s most advanced omni-channel payment app, featuring India’s first pin-on-glass SoftPoS solution – CCAvenue TapPay. Since it is an app, the merchant can download it for free on any Android phone, and convert any Android phone into a payment terminal. Merchants can accept payments in multiple ways like QR code, link-based payments, as well as Tap-to-Pay, and more.

In the coming months, our focus will be to strengthen our growth prospects in India, expand in international markets and develop new business models/payment products,” Mr. Mehta added. 

“Currently, there’s an excellent momentum shifting towards digital payments in the country. The latest RBI data reveals that 7.9 crore credit card holders spent on an average more than Rs 1,00,000 Cr in each month of Q1’23, which is record high. Digital payments in the country is growing at a rapid speed and the momentum continues in FY23. POS and eCommerce are expected to contribute equally to digital payments value in FY23. This is where we are entering the offline payments market with our SoftPoS with tap-to-pay feature, that will be a game changer,” said Mr. Vishwas Patel, Executive Director, Infibeam Avenues Ltd.

Currently, 6.4 million merchants are on Infibeam’s platform (double from last year), which increased at an average 8,000 per day in Q1’23 and could grow significantly due to the mass adoption of digitalization. This merchant base along with the transactional insights we generate from their transactions will help us to monetise on this rich data by offering financial services to merchants in the form of invoice discounting, bill discounting, working capital loans, etc.

“Increasing digital volumes will allow merchants to be a part of ‘organised or semi-organised retail’ which can be leveraged by lenders to provide credit to boost growth at the grassroot levels,” said Mr Mehta.

With additional growth drivers such as consistently converting EBITDA into free cash, almost debt free company and major capex cycle behind, Infibeam is charting a focused growth strategy for the next 3-5 years. MoU Signed Between District Administration Nuh and the M3M Foundation to Develop SmartClass in Government Schools

Haryana, Nuh 4th August 2022: Taking the Digital India mission forward, M3M Foundation today signed an MoU with the District Administration Nuh to develop 20 government schools as SmartClass in the Nuh district of Haryana. While the smart classroom setup is to be provided by NITI Aayog and M3M Foundation will support with capacity building of teachers as well as the preparation of the curriculum for the teachers. On the occasion, an MoU was signed by Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Nuh and Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan, President, M3M Foundation.

 Under the mandate of this agreement, the M3M Foundation will be responsible for strengthening the infrastructure of 20 government schools in Nuh, under its flagship ‘Saakshar’ program. The M3M Foundation will also facilitate all furniture support, by providing the chairs, desks as well as digital support, through PCs and laptops for the schools. The Foundation will also extend full support to enhance the capacity of teachers and build the curriculum. They will provide a prescribed number of teachers in schools that do not have any, with the aim to improve the academic performance of all the students. Suraksha, with the prestigious CAP (College of American Pathology) accreditation, has been serving patients for almost three decades all over the country. Post-Covid pandemic, Suraksha has added six new centres and plans to open another 20 centres in Eastern India this financial year. Suraksha is completing the acquisition of one of the largest diagnostic chains in Western India. This will encompass an investment of around Rs 200 cr. Also in the pipeline is another acquisition of a Diagnostic chain in South India at a cost of about Rs 100cr. Suraksha is involved in the development of the first HRD Assay in the country in it’s own lab, designed by it’s R&D team.
