Missouri Fire Department Awarded Life-Saving Rescue Resources

West Plains Fire Department is one of 265 rural fire departments to receive a grain rescue tube and training through Nationwide’s Grain Bin Safety campaign

(St. Louis, Mo., Aug. 3, 2022) Local first responders with West Plains Fire Department recently were awarded a grain rescue tube and specialized training from Nationwide, Wiley Insurance Agency, and Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA) through Nationwide’s Grain Bin Safety advocacy campaign. The resources will be used to help protect against grain entrapments, which result in dozens of deaths across rural America.

Every year, thousands of farmers and commercial grain handlers risk their lives by entering grain bins to remove clumped or rotted grain. As rural communities have come to know all too well, the risks of entering grain bins continue to be overlooked.

“It only takes seconds, or a simple mistake, for an adult to sink in the quicksand-like flow of grain and become fully entrapped or engulfed,” said Brad Liggett, Nationwide’s president of Agribusiness. “Adding to the risk is a lack of rescue equipment available to local fire departments and emergency responders who are called for help when a worker becomes trapped.”

To help lead the fight against these accidents impacting agricultural communities, the country’s leading insurer of farms and ranches1, Nationwide, began its Grain Bin Safety campaign in 2014 to bring awareness to the hazards of entering grain structures and to equip fire departments with the resources needed to respond effectively.

West Plains Fire Department is one of 58 fire departments to receive these resources through the 2022 campaign, and one of 265 fire departments to benefit from the program since its inception. The grain rescue tube will be stored at the West Plains Fire Department for use by all regional fire departments within a 30-mile radius.

Wiley Insurance Agency owner Traci Wiley was appointed to the Missouri Fire and Safety Commission by Governor Mike Parson in 2019. She is the first woman to serve on the commission. Wiley’s parents were both rural firefighters, and she remains a strong advocate for rescue and first responders. She shared that her mom, Ella Stephens, sustained life-threatening injuries while fighting a grass fire in 1999. “Firefighters put their lives on the line for us every day, so this initiative is the least we can do so they can safely protect our communities.”

The grain rescue tube delivery and training were conducted by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS) and included simulations of entrapments and rescues using a state-of-the-art grain entrapment simulator, which is loaded on a trailer and able to hold about 100 bushels of grain.

Since 2014, at least five fire departments have put the tubes and training to use to save the lives of workers trapped in grain bins.

“It’s a lot more common to see verified Twitter accounts hacked to promote cryptocurrency giveaways through impersonations of individuals like Elon Musk and his associated companies. So seeing Imran Khan’s Instagram account hacked and used to post a screenshot of a fake tweet from Musk goes to show that even on alternative platforms like Instagram, Musk’s brand, his interest in cryptocurrencies and status as the richest man in the world remains a valuable lure in a scammer’s toolbox to take advantage of unsuspecting users interested in cryptocurrencies.

The website mentioned in the screenshots will take users to a page promising users to double their cryptocurrency, also known as advanced fee fraud. Users are asked to send a small portion of cryptocurrency upfront, anywhere from 0.1 Bitcoin to 10 Bitcoin in order to double it from anywhere between 0.2 Bitcoin up to 20 Bitcoin or more.

Unfortunately for users, they won’t receive anything in return. Unlike traditional finance, where users have some type of recourse to recover funds from a centralized authority, there is no way for them to recover their stolen cryptocurrency, which is why scammers have pivoted towards more cryptocurrency focused scams. No matter who posts about the possibility of doubling your cryptocurrency, be it a verified celebrity or political figure or a person with a large following on social media, just know that if it sounds too good to be true, it is.”

In 2004, Mr.Shreekant Patil, who is a qualified graduate engineer but having tremendous confidence, vast knowledge of resistance welding consumables, spot welding guns, robotics, manufacturing, engineering, product development, marketing, and determined about his business, started Paramount Enterprises business with a little amount of fund in the pocket.

Then few bankers kept faith in Shreekant’s confidence, projects s & determination they helped him a lot to set up his business. Initially, Shreekant had very big trouble getting orders from customers, then he started helping & support customers with their problems in the resistance welding area until 2 years.

Slowly, Shreekant added conventionally machined to the production line at Paramount to cater to his products. Inspiration – Paramount Enterprises has tied up with one of the leading companies in the United Kingdom, who cater products all over Europe especially Bentley, Ford, Honda, General motors, etc. Early days, they were used to procuring resistance welding parts from China, unfortunately, they had a bad patch due to poor quality supplied by their China partner. Then they approached Paramount Enterprises for better quality and asked if Paramount can match prices too.

Mr.Shreekant has then decided to make such a product with a minimum price to match China’s price with excellent quality which especially European companies prefer. With much hard work, and devotion, he developed such a product and supplied it to his customer in the UK initially.

In little time, the product has been approved by most of the customers in the EU. Presently Paramount makes business with a partner in the EU- almost – 2 Million US dollars every year.

Europe customers are now planning to double business with Paramount next year. “As per industry reports, the advertising volumes have returned in a big way, which when coupled with the opening up of the country, is a major tailwind for our business. We have been resilient as an organization through the tough times and risen to the challenge by evolving as a company and providing omni-channel offerings to align with changing customer preferences and media consumption patterns

The recovery in Radio Adex, was seen across all the major sectors, which even if on a low base have risen phenomenally and augur well for the industry. With Real Estate and Electricals growing by over 300% and strong growth in other core sectors such as Pharma, Auto and FMCG, we are extremely optimistic of the growth trajectory that lies ahead, especially with the festive season upcoming around the corner and multiple sporting events and product launches lined up.

Our adoption of the ‘Radigitalization’ strategy i.e., digital integrations with Radio at its core, has paid off well for us and we see the benefits accruing further and sustaining over time. Traditional and OTT mediums are also feeding off this differentiated offering and reach by tapping into our resources and brand solutions, as consumers seeking excellent content on digital platforms, are expected to draw more businesses to take advantage of the convergence of radio and digital.

With 32 percent of the revenue this quarter coming from new revenue initiatives, they have started to make up a sizeable portion of our total top line and show every promise of being sustainable and continuing to fuel consistent growth going forward. With cash reserves at Rs. 273 crores as of June 30, 2022, the firm has remained loyal to its core values of keeping a solid liquidity position as a war chest to weather any storm and seize new possibilities.

Regarding the bonus issue of the non-convertible non-cumulative redeemable preference shares, the meeting of the Equity Shareholders and Unsecured Creditors of the Company was held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, wherein the Shareholders and Unsecured Creditors have approved the scheme and thereafter the Company has filed the petition with NCLT for further course of action. Australian Government Ministers support Lactamo launch in India

August 2022:  The struggles of breastfeeding, the lack of solutions for mums, and the disappointingly low breastfeeding rates are dismal. To mark World Breastfeeding Week (1st August 2022), Lactamo carried out a breastfeeding survey, to see what progress is being made. And the results painted an even more dire picture than we had thought.

In Lactamo’s survey, 92% reported negative experiences as part of their breastfeeding journey, with 67% of these being physical problems (oversupply, undersupply, blocked ducts, engorgement, infection). Women listed endless negative experiences, and a whopping 49% had had mastitis.

This was also the experience of Etta, a corporate lawyer from Australia, and Mum of 4. Experiencing this first-hand, feeling like a failure “when she was already at her most vulnerable, right at the start of motherhood” gave Etta the drive to give other mums a better success and a better experience in breastfeeding.

Determined to empower mums with solutions and support, Etta launched Lactamo in Australia last year. Dubbed “a game-changer in breastfeeding” by breastfeeding leaders, Lactamo has already taken out top national and international awards and recognition, and backing from the Australian Government. Developed by a team of Australian experts and industry leaders, Lactamo uniquely combines temperature, movement and compression specifically for the elasticity of breast tissue.

The International Breastfeeding Journal have recently published an independent clinical trial on Lactamo. Authored by Professor Linda Sweet and Dr Vidanka Vasilevski with Deakin University and Western Health the trial was completely independent. 100% of women in the trial “reported that they would recommend Lactamo to other mothers to assist their lactation”. 100% of women who used Lactamo “felt that it was beneficial for their lactation”. The trial authors concluded that Lactamo is “a valuable aid for breastfeeding women”.

“Lactamo has incredible potential to fundamentally address common breastfeeding challenges both proactively and reactively,” tells Professor Linda Sweet, Chair of Midwifery at Deakin University.

The Honourable Dominic Perrottet MP, Premier of New South Wales and The Honourable Stuart Ayres MP, Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Minister for Tourism and Sport, and Minister for Western Sydney are meeting with Lactamo and Firstcry in Mumbai on 28th July, in support of Lactamo’s launch in India, together with Australian and Indian leading healthcare professionals, hospitals, and government members.
