TradeSmart records a 57% rise in customers;Maharashtra clocks highest number of traders in the country in FY 21-22

Maharashtra, May 10, 2022: TradeSmart, one of India’s leading new-age online discount brokerage companies records a 57% increase in customers in India. The platform recorded highest number of traders from Maharashtra this year. 68% of traders from the Stateare millennials and Gen Z population. A rising market as well as growing smart phone users have been attributed as some of the reasons for the phenomenal growth.

TradeSmartobserved a 4% rise in female traders on the platform, indicating a growing number of female participants breaking a male-dominated industry. The platform also witnessed slight percentage increase of traders falling in the 51-60 age group.

Of all the trades, more than 96% of trades were executed under NSE. TradeSmart looks forward to a promising growth in this new FY 22-23.

For families with small babies, the baby proofing feature monitors the premises and can raise an alarm when the child enters parts of the house which are potentially unsafe. Externally, PadoSee can monitor car parks or unmanned entry/exit points and raise an alarm when any tampering, damage to a vehicle or acts of vandalism by unidentified people are observed.

Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care Ltd. raises over 1,000 Crore funding from TPG Growth and Temasek

Hyderabad / Chennai, May 10, 2022: Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care Ltd. (DAHCL) has closed a landmark fund raise of ₹1,050 crore from TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity platform of alternative asset firm Texas Pacific Group which is one of the leading investment firms based out of the US, and from existing investor Temasek, a global investment company headquartered in Singapore. The investment round, which is India’s largest fund raise in the eyecare space, will also provide significant capital to fuel the company’s expansion plans and pave the way for an exit for existing investor, ADV Partners. The company also raised ₹270 crores investment from Temasek in 2019.

Dr. Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospitals has been on a growth spree across the country, with more than 60 units added to its network in the past five years alone. It plans to deploy capital to expand the current network of 105 hospitals to over 200 hospitals in the next 3-4 years. The company notched a revenue of over ₹700 crores in FY22.

Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals now has a total network presence of 105 hospitals spread across India and Africa. The Group’s presence spans across 11 countries and over 12 states in India. Its facilities are staffed by a team of over 400 ophthalmologists and 3,000 employees. They have treated over 12 million patients so far and offer not only quality eyecare but also academic and research programs in ophthalmology and related fields.

MADAME continues to grow post-pandemic, plans to have 185 exclusive brand stores by FY 2023

Bangalore, 10th May: MADAME, one of India’s biggest western wear fashion brands, has managed to perform well during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to grow rapidly as the world now returns to normalcy. The company managed to keep its market intact, with some setbacks, during the peak pandemic as it focused on e-commerce. Beginning quarter 3 of 2021, the brand has managed to pick an impressive pace and continues to expand and capture the market.

This can be attributed to the swift and creative decision making from the management. The brand currently boasts of more than 140 points of sales across the country and plans to take it up to 800+by the end of the year. MADAME looks forward to having more than 185 exclusive offline stores by the end of the financial year 2022. The brand is also focusing on sustainable fashion to have a positive environmental impact. It has been launching Eco-wear fashion range every year which includes clothing prepared from a biodegradable cotton-based fabric. “We understand the impact of fast fashion on the environment and have been looking for sustainable solutions like using recycled plastic to manufacture clothes. The brand expects a 38% increase in YoY demand as compared to pre-covid levels. adidas and Parley for The Oceans Unite Sporting Communities Across The Globe to Run for The Oceans

Mumbai, May 10 2022 – As we approach World Oceans Day on June 8, adidas and its longstanding partner Parley for the Oceans is once again encouraging the global sporting community to turn activity into action and Run for the Oceans in 2022.

For the first time, new activities have been introduced to the challenge, making this the most inclusive Run for the Oceans yet. People from all parts of the global sporting community are invited to hit the streets, the tennis court and the football field, and unite to help protect the oceans from plastic waste.

Launching between May 23 – June 8, the event returns for its fifth year, with the ambition of mobilising a generation to help end plastic waste. Research shows that the world is at a tipping point, with it predicted that oceans will contain more plastic than fish by 2050.

We need action from everyone, everywhere to create true change and this year Run for the Oceans will expand to welcome in a wider range of activities – when we all come together, we can help make a world of difference.

For every 10 minutes of running from select activities, such as running, tennis or football*, recorded by participants via the adidas Runtastic app, Joyrun, Codoon, Yeudongquan or Strava, Parley will clean up the equivalent weight of one plastic bottle from beaches, remote islands, and coastlines before it reaches the ocean (up to a maximum of 250,000kg).

The company has signed a MoU with FLSmidth A/S, a leading supplier of technology solutions and equipment for cement and mining processing industry. Both sides commit to contribute ideas, research and development for an industrial scale cement production facility in order to develop breakthrough innovations to significantly accelerate the development of sustainability in cement and construction industry.

The Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 5 per share subject to approval of shareholders in ensuing AGM.
