Dr. Om Prakash Gupta, Registrar, Shridhar University, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Apart from the Directors  and Promoters of HIMS hospital,  Acharya Manish, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury and Dr. Avadesh Pandey were also present.  In the beginning, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury reintroduced ‘the Science of Postural Medicine’. He said that through the therapy of hot water immersion (sitting in the hot water tub), thousands of people have succeeded in treating themselves of various infections/diseases. He further added that this therapy is also helpful in the treatment of Dialysis, Cancer, Parkinsons and other neuro-degenerative diseases. ‘The Science of Postural Medicine’ is an interesting science based on the law of gravity. Gravitational force cannot be purchased from a shop; it is freely available around us.

“This therapy can be used even by the poor people just by spending a small amount of money. One does not require any special gadgets or resources for the purpose. One can simply utilize the broken fridge or the Sintex tank for the purpose. If a person does not have access to these, he can simply dig a ditch and make arrangements for the person’s lying down in hot water, said Dr. Chowdhury. Here, gravity works as medicine. A treatment like this involves no medicine or expenditure.  A total of 12 videos were shared in the event. These videos are equivalent to top 12 ideas, through which hot water immersion treatment can be done.

Through the videos of the patients shown during the event, one may get an idea of the different ways through which hot water tub can be prepared so that he can avail the benefits of this therapy. He said that one need not rush to an expensive hospital to treat himself of chronic diseases such as kidney failure, Cancer and neuro-degenerative diseases. Our invisible medicine would provide immediate relief.

The event also witnessed the successful launch of the book ‘The Heat Protocol’. The book teaches the use of heat as medicine and through which, one can get rid of Flu, Covid and other respiratory diseases.

Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury said if the treatment protocol starts with the appearance of the first symptom of Flu such as fever, cough, cold, body ache, weakness or fatigue, the person can be cured within two hours. This therapy of providing heat is absolutely free of cost, scientifically proven and gives instant relief.

The procedure for using heat as medicine, as described in the book, was also explained to people so that they could adopt the treatment protocol in emergency situations.

Another invisible medicine was introduced in the event. The audience was familiarized with vibration as medicine.

A MOU was also signed with Shridhar university. The university was represented by the Registrar Dr. O.P. Gupta and the experts, who introduced vibration is medicine, Captain Arvind Singh and Dr. Avadesh Pandey were also present. It was decided that a two month online course will be started from March 2022 wherein the use of ‘vibration is medicine’ would be taught.

While introducing ‘vibration is medicine’, an example was given that in an Orchestra, if all the musicians do not play the music in synchronization, it would result in loud noise instead of music. In the same fashion, if all the organs of a human body do not work in harmony, the person will always be sick. Vibration is medicine is also a free therapy, which can be used by any person on his own, without seeking any external help.

In the end, a convocation ceremony of Shridhar university was held wherein certificates were awarded to those students who had qualified a two month online course ‘Emergency and Pain Management’. About 1000 people from across the world enrolled themselves for the course and the top 100 among them were awarded the certificates on successful completion of the course.

Women’s affinity to housing purchase has increased markedly since the pandemic – from 57% votes in the pre-COVID-19 survey to nearly 64% in the current edition. Now, we see that the pandemic has also influenced their property preferences.”

There has also been an increase in women looking at real estate from an investment perspective. Of total women respondents looking to buy homes, approx. 26% declared investment their primary motivator, while 74% had an end-user perspective. Contrastingly, a year ago, the same survey showed an end-use vs. investment ratio of 82:18. Their strengthening investment sentiment is a clear indicator of women’s increasing financial independence.”

The survey indicates that over 38% of participating women home seekers prefer the city peripheries, while 30% will buy homes within the city limits. Only 11% are eyeing the city centres.

In budget categories, at least 67% of women home seekers will buy properties in the mid and premium segments (properties priced INR 45 lakh to INR 1.5 Cr.) In the same survey last year, affordable and mid-segment homes priced within INR 90 lakh were the top pick of participating women home seekers, with nearly 66% voting for this budget range.

Moreover, there is a marginal rise of 2% in demand for ultra-luxury property priced >INR 2.5 Cr – from 5% in the H2 2020 survey to 7% in the current H2 2021 edition.

A very significant 79% of women respondents prefer either ready-to-move homes or properties to be completed within the next six months. Over 10% of women respondents are looking to buy properties in newly launched projects, while another 11% will purchase homes in projects scheduled for completion in more than one year.

New adulteration test introduced by FSSAI for Saffron

Some of the products consumed are adulterated and this can be known with the help of simple tests. Similar to other products, saffron is adulterated with maize cob causing symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, and gas. Hence, FSSAI has decided to introduce some tests that help every household consume safe food products.

Here is an easy trick to know whether the saffron you use is adulterated or not.

  • Take 2 glass jars with hot water, filled 70-80%

  • Add a few strands of the saffron both the jar.

Results

  • If saffron immediately releases red colour in the water, it is adulterated.

  • If Saffron releases typical saffron colour, it is unadulterated.

Ashwin Bhadri, CEO, Equinox Labs, says “While saffron is adulterated with maize cob, the powdered saffron is adulterated with natural colours. Adulteration has different types such as economic, microbiological, and poisonous. All these types are likely to leave adverse consequences on the health of humans. It becomes difficult for the common man to know whether the products are adulterated or not. Even conducting professional tests for the household is not possible, due to which FBOs and the food industry are guided to adhere to the principles.”

Equinox Labs is a leading FSSAI Approved and NABL Accredited Food, Water, and Air Testing Lab with 16+ years of experience. With a PAN-India presence, they are also Industry Leaders in Food Safety Auditing and FoSTaC Training.

He further added, “When the demand for product increases, to increase the supply, adulteration is conducted. The adulterated products do have different textures, colours, and tastes. Though a food product might appear appealing, consumption causes effects such as liver damage, heart disorder, and other health issues. FSSAI assures that the food testing laboratories in India conduct tests for adulteration whenever a new product is launched or the older product is re-designed. Yet, the cases of adulteration are increasing. To keep the consumers informed and to make the right choice, following the small tips and tricks to ensure household products are adulterated or not is quite helpful.”

Plix Reinforces Green Brand Credentials with the Coveted ‘The Clean Label Project Certification’

Mumbai , 28th February 2022: Plix, a fast-growing clean plant-based nutrition brand for daily wellness and strength, recently received the prestigious ‘The Clean Label Project Certification’, USA. The certification is awarded to select few brands that undertake production of food items that are green, free from harmful chemicals and pesticides.

Agricultural food production has become vulnerable to severe contamination today due to chemicals and contaminated water. Testing of various fruit juice labels has revealed that nearly half of them are laden with heavy metals. Existing food testing and certification methods usually focus on microbes and contaminants that could be harmful shortly after consumption. However, contaminants which build over time and cause damage are often not focused upon. Even an FDA approval doesn’t necessarily authenticate whether a product is chemical and metal free or not.

To ensure long-term wellness of the consumers and environmental sustainability, it is important to eliminate all pollutants, and deliver clean food and nutrition product options to the public. This is where a Clean Label Certification is a highly coveted recognition for a customer-centric and clean brand. It certifies the brand on various parameters such as Label Claim Substantiation; FSMA compliance; GFSI benchmarked standards; Certified Organic, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Project, etc.; and Certification compliance and enforcement standards and policies.

Plix has been a one-of-its-kind brand offering an extensive range of nutraceuticals products that address key health challenges. The brand has not only adopted green practices in manufacturing, but also fosters sustainability by planting new saplings regularly. The Clean Label Certification has now further underscored Plix’s position as a disruptive brand.

Honourable General MM Naravane inaugurates the third edition of Ahmedabad Design Week at Karnavati University

Bengaluru, February 28, 2022: Honourable General MM Naravane, Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army on Saturday inaugurated the third edition of Ahmedabad Design Week (ADW)– a melting pot of ideas and insights – organised by Karnavati University, based in Uvarsad, Gandhinagar. Karnavati University is a state private university dedicated to excellence in teaching and is focused on interdisciplinary learning. This year’s theme for ADW 3.0 is Design and Innovation in Defense and Aerospace – a topic of strategic importance.

Shri Prahalad Kakkar, Founder, Genesis Film Production, along with Air Marshall Ravinder Kumar Dhir PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC (retired) and Advisor to Gujarat state for Defence and Aerospace Industries, were present during the inaugural ceremony held at the varsity.

In his opening remarks, Shri Ritesh Hada, President, Karnavati University, said, “Karnavati University is a design-centric university and we aim to support and accelerate the Make in India cause through design and innovations.”

During the inaugural address, General M.M. Naravane also spoke about the four Ds of Design – Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver. Speaking of the importance of design and its applications in the defence sector, he said, “The Indian Army has recently embarked on a programme for future ready combat vehicles. Both these are at conceptualization stage and we are open to ideas. The future in aerospace and defence is electric in the way things are going to change. As we go ahead more and more electricity-based equipment will come up that are not dependent on fossil fuel. There’s a lot of work that can be done in the field of miniaturisation. We cannot afford to have large platforms. The size of our ship and aircrafts have to be small.”

“When you’re designing something today, you must see where it will be 50 years from now. Requirements of the modern day battlefield are daunting and diverse. Designing a system that fits all in one is daunting. In designing, you must keep these aspects vital, essential and desirable in mind. If this aspect is kept in mind we would be able to do much better. For instance, a vehicle that can efficiently operate across all terrains or say develop a technology that makes potable water available easily in inaccessible areas. We are looking for technology solutions,” General Naravane further added.

Retired Air Marshall R. K. Dhir, who was also present during the inaugural ceremony, said, “National security is essential for a nation. A nation becomes strong through pillars of military power, diplomacy and even economic might. Self-reliance that breeds from the need to exist and survive is crucial and today, the industry is looking inwards for dependence. To achieve this, entrepreneurs and industry must take the lead now.”

“The national leadership is creating an ecosystem to make India strong. A leading manufacturing company may soon come into Gujarat for defence manufacturing. This is where the scientists, DRDO and others have to work together,” Air Marshall Dhir further went on to say.

Shri Prahalad Kakkar on the other hand, spoke on the criticality of defence manufacturing in India. He said, “Anything will function better when better designed. Today we sit in a world which is dangerous. India lags in its defence abilities not just for defence but even technology. Today, even though we are late, but it is important to look at defence production. The business of war today is not about protected world wars but about economics. It is a country’s abilities to sustain a war is what decides it’s might, where our focus must be stationed.”

Guest speakers present during the session include Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM (retired), Former Director General, Defence Intelligence Agency; Dr Sudhir Mishra, distinguished scientist and former CEO and MD, BrahMos Aerospace; Wing Commander Saurabh Chauhan, Indian Air Force and Dr R Shivaraman, Co-Founder, Big Bang Boom Solutions.
