Equipped with decades of experience, Dr. Manjula Anagani Padma Shri awardee, Gynecologist
emphasized the innate leadership skills of womenand said “When we’re accepted as leaders at home, why aren’t we accepted as leaders outside? Be mindful, be inclusive, and be interested in creating an environment around you that respects the diversity within yourself.”

Shweta Kothari, a journalist with 7 years of experience, focused on her experiences facing – and tackling – sexism in the workplace in the field of journalism, and said “We need workplace policies that support women which are more than just a few policies on leaves.”

Concluding the month-long campaign, Arun Daniel Yellamaty, the founder of Youngistaan Foundation interacted with all the participants asking them to implement what all they’ve learnt during the past four sessions. He also announced that women who are seriously dreaming of becoming entrepreneurs will receive hand-holding support from the Foundation’s end.

Tanishka, a student pursuing her BBA from a private college said “Attending these sessions has been nothing but an eye-opener for me. I am massively inspired by these uplifting women who joined these sessions. I have gotten a vision and an idea on how to change society for the better. All and all I would like to thank the organisers for providing us a platform to interact with such powerful women.”

Bespoke Lighting Studio, Hive Home,Launches New Design Collection this Holi

Mumbai: Hive Home, one of India’s leading bespoke lighting design studio has launched its latest colection, titled Iridescence. It will be launched on the occasion of Holi. The collection for its namesake is very colourful and vivacious and is in the spirit of Holi, the festival of colours.

The term Iridescence is derived from Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow, and refers to a vibrant optical effect of rainbow-like colours that are seen on soap bubbles and appears to change colour in the light. Along with soap bubbles, iridescence can also be seen in flora and fauna, and minerals in nature. The collection is therefore very close to nature.

The collection is larger than life, when placed horizontally it is 8ft x 5ft. It is crafted in a rainbow finish stainless steel and hand-blown glass, this bouquet piece reflects the ever-changing environment around us, seen as the spectators change their angle of vision.

The award-winning designer and founder of the brand, Shivangi Shah, was inspired by a child who derives joy from simple pleasures while making the collection. This shimmering art installation defines its shape and presence, transforming itself into a mesmerizing piece of art. The handblown glass texture mirrors the organic effect that is a concoction of oil and water.

Talking about Iridescence, the designer Shivangi mentioned, “The collection is graceful and organic in its form. ‘Iridescence’ is an ode to celebrate all that is beautiful, joy-giving and unadulterated in life. Anyone viewing the collection will be forced to move around and watch it from different angles, just like they have in their childhood. It takes you back to simpler times when something as little as a rainbow coloured soap bubble made us happy. Launching this collection on the auspicious day of Holi seemed truly fitting to its personality & essence.”

PJSC MIKRON highly appreciated the performance and functionality of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity solution proposed by Softline

LONDON, United Kingdom – March 29, 2021 – Infosecurity, a Softline Company, implemented a pilot integrated information security project for PJSC MIKRON. As a result of joint efforts, the customer was able to choose the best security solution for their IT infrastructure and ensure significantly higher level of information security for the automated process control system.

In recent years, the number of cyberattacks targeting industrial systems, especially automated process control systems, has rapidly increased. As evidenced in practice, one infected USB device or one download of random files is enough for cybercriminals to penetrate a corporate intranet. PJSC MIKRON, a JSC Element company, was looking for solutions to ensure the security of their corporate automated process control systems, and reverted to the IT security experts — Infosecurity, a Softline company, to develop and implement an integrated industrial security solution.

In the course of project implementation, Infosecurity and PJSC MIKRON analyzed network monitoring and control products by domestic and international vendors. The criteria for choosing a solution for a pilot implementation included integratability with the highly specialized industrial software already used in the company and compliance with the legal requirements for protecting critical IT infrastructure. Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) system appeared to be the best solution.

In two months, Infosecurity deployed KICS FOR NETWORKS, a pilot virtual industrial network security monitoring system, and enabled detection of unauthorized devices in the network and anomalous data traffic between these devices. For PJSC MIKRON it was an important factor that the system works with a copy of the industrial infrastructure traffic and does not actively interfere with the corporate business processes. Such an approach eliminates the risks of production process stoppage and helps avoid significant financial loss. Moreover, to create a reliable protection system for the corporate infrastructure against complex threats and targeted attacks PJSC MIKRON and Infosecurity implemented Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform (KATA).

„For us, as for many companies, the information security of critical systems is a top priority, but with a highly specialized industry-specific software in place selecting high-quality domestic security software turns out to be a bit more challenging task. Thanks to Infosecurity, we were able to identify the most suitable solution and ensure significantly higher level of IT security for the automated process control system and the company as a whole,” says Pavel Belik, the Vice President for Security at JSC Element.

The selected approach to ensuring IT security at PJSC MIKRON helped maintain the continuity of the technological processes in place and enabled coordinated network integrity management. Working on such an important project was an extremely interesting and responsible task. At this point it is safe to say that we are getting decent results and that it was a very useful experience overall,” says Nikita Pinchuk, the Technology Director at Infosecurity, a Softline company.

Alternative lenders will help recover consumer demand in the Philippines and India

According to the Consumer Confidence Index, the population of the Philippines and India will be increasing their consumer activity in 2021. A survey of Robocash Group has shown that about 71% of Filipinos and 64% of Indians will be doing it with the help of non-bank loans.

As stated in the Consumer Confidence Index, the population of India estimates their current financial situation as 55.5 points, twice as low as a year ago. In the Philippines, this score is about 7 points worse than in India if considered on the same scale.

Despite this, more than half of the surveyed Indians expect that the economic situation will improve. 51% of the population believes that their income will increase next year. At the same time, a large share of the respondents expect that they will be spending more than earning.

In the Philippines, expectations for the next 12 months are more optimistic. When asked about the economic situation, the financial state of the family, and the income, the respondents answered mostly positively. This is also confirmed by the Robocash Group survey – 76.5% of Filipinos said that their income is likely to increase in 2021.

The growing consumer activity this year will certainly affect the lending market. Borrowings will be one of the tools to meet the increasing demand. According to the Robocash Group survey, 63.5% of Indians and 70.6% of Filipinos are definitely going to borrow money in 2021.

For this purpose, 62.7% of respondents in the Philippines will use alternative lending services, and 17.6% will go to a bank. In India, the situation is opposite: banks take the leading position with 46.1% of votes, followed by alternative lenders with 23.5%. As India is the second most populous country in the world, such a share of population still makes a strong demand for alternative lending services.

In both countries, most respondents would prefer to use online services (56.9% in the Philippines, 64.3% in India) rather than going to offline branches. Possibly, Filipinos who want to get a loan online tend to use alternative lenders due to the low supply in the local online banking market. In India, which has a bigger number of neobanks, the population is more inclined to choose them in the first place.
