District Collector Shri Narayana Reddy, launches Cancer Screening, organized by Grace Cancer Foundation & Indur Cancer Hospital!

Nizamabad: Grace Cancer Foundation and Indur Cancer Hospital, in partnership with the Government of Telangana, are organizing a first of its kind yearlong Comprehensive Cancer Screening Campaign, in the Country, covering the population above 21 years of age in Nizamabad District. The Campaign was formally launched by the Nizamabad District Collector Shri Narayana Reddy garu, today, at the Indur Cancer Hospital, on the eve of World Cancer Day. The thrust of the camp is on Screening of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes hypertension, heart health, obesity and Cancer. Also present on the occasion were Dr Pratima Raj, Medical Superintendent, Govt Hospital, Nizamabad; Shri Rajeshwar Rao, MLC; Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, CEO, Grace Cancer Foundation; Dr Kandra Prasanth, CEO, Indur Cancer Hospital; Dr Suri, Medical Superintendent, Indur Cancer Hospital; Mr Kiran, Business Advisor, Indur Cancer Hospital.

Shri Narayana Reddy garu, speaking on the occasion said, Cancer awareness is grossly lacking in the rural areas, treatment is inaccessible in remote places and have to go to Hyderabad for care, besides being prohibitively expensive for the rural folk. The earlier notion of Cancer being an urban disease is no more true, even rural population is being afflicted significantly. For our elders’ healthy lifestyle was an indelible part of their life, they slept early and for sufficient time, ate nutritious food, exerted themselves enough by attending to physical work. Today the scenario is completely different. A book I read on relieving stress emphasized on the three essential elements of life, ‘Eat, Sleep and Walk’, today we are deprived of all three, sleeping time is curtailed, eating junk food, fertilizers, pesticide ridden toxic food is the norm, in fact food has become a slow poison off late, walking is completely ignored. When these three lose their balance, health becomes a cause for concern. Ignoring the healthy habits of our ancestors is making us easily susceptible to dreaded diseases like cancer. The people of Nizamabad district should feel really fortunate, considering the difficulties in seeking cancer treatment, as the specialists themselves are coming to your area and doing screening for everyone. It’s a commendable initiative by Grace Cancer Foundation and Indur Cancer Hospital, they are bringing the inaccessible and expensive cancer care within the reach of the people with no profit motto. I laud Dr Chinnababu, for his zeal to reach out cancer screening to the rural poor with his buses equipped with modern diagnostics moving from village to village every day and doing screening. On behalf of the Government, we assure complete support for this initiative. I request the district officials to utilize this opportunity fully, create sufficient awareness among people to avail the facility to the maximum.

Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli said, Grace Cancer Foundation and Indur Cancer Hospital are initiating a first of its kind and never heard before cancer intensive screening program in Nizamabad district. Every day we will screen at least 100 to 200 people, with the bus going from village to village. We are also getting excellent support from the Government for this campaign. World over lifestyle disease incidence is on the rise, especially those related to Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, Cancer and Heart diseases. The best part is, such non-communicable diseases can be detected early. Grace Cancer Foundation has done more than a thousand camps till now, from that we could detect at least 15% of the population being afflicted of diabetes and hypertension. We are going to people and detecting such ailments in them even before they are aware of it, with a honest service motto to do good to the people. We are also leveraging technology by using Artificial intelligence and Machine learning and generating medical reports without human intervention. We want people to come forward, avail this service and benefit from it. Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) have become a major public health concern in India accounting for 62% of the total burden of foregone DALYs (Disability Adjusted Life Years) and 53% of total deaths. Out-of-pocket expenditure associated with the acute and long-term effects of NCDs is high, resulting in catastrophic health expenditure for the households. The vision of Grace Foundation is to reach out to every human being irrespective of their socio-economic status and to ensure they have an equal access to advanced medical care, he adds.

This extensive cancer screening campaign involves the state-of-the-art mobile cancer screening bus equipped with advanced diagnostics like mammography, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Pap smear facilities, moving from one location to other as per the pre-designated schedule. The camps will be organized through the PHCs of the respective areas in coordination with the DMHO of Nizamabad, with the initial phase being focused on Rural Nizamabad. This mega screening initiative will screen on an average two hundred high risk people per day, covering over sixty thousand high risk groups in a year. Before the event an intensive door to door awareness campaign will be done in the respective areas.

The Camps will screen population above 21 years of age in the district, especially women without history of hysterectomy and men with history of smoking or tobacco chewing. The investigations will include Clinical Examination by Doctor, Awareness Session, Oral Examination, Blood Pressure, BMI, Chest X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, FNAC, PAP Smear, GRBS, FBS, Hepatitis ‘B’ & ‘C’, PFT and CEA. Advanced technologies of A.I. and Telemedicine will be leveraged to reduce the cost of cancer detection. A Lifestyle coach will be counselling and motivating the participants to modify unhealthy practices, especially sedentary lifestyles and consumption of tobacco products.

The Camps will be hosted in a phased manner at the PHCs in Armoor, Balkonda, Banswada, Bheemgal, Bhiknur, Bichkunda, Birkoor, Bodhan, Dichapally, Domakonda, Gandhari, Jakranpally, Jukkal, Makloor, Morthad, Naga Reddipet, Nandipet, Navipet, Nizam Sagar, Pitlam, Ranjal, Sadasivanagar, Sirikonda, Tadwai and Varni.

Dr Pratima Raj, said, Awareness about Cancer is negligible amongst people. Often Cancer is construed to be end of life, but we should make people patients aware that even 3rd and 4th stage Cancer patients are treatable, and they can survive from such advanced cancers too. Grace Cancer Foundation organizing this screening with a special bus going from village to village is truly laudable. The Bus has advanced diagnostic equipment, a test called mammography available in the bus is being provided free of cost, while outside the same costs Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. People detected with disease can seek free treatment under Arogyasri.

Dr Kandra Prasanth said, Cancer has four stages, most of the time patients come to the hospital at an advanced stage of 3 or 4, the treatment and recovery from the advanced stage of cancer becomes difficult. The main objective of this Screening camp is to detect cancer in advance by identifying the symptoms early. The most prevalent cancers are mouth and lung cancers in men and breast and cervical cancers in women, more than 50% of cancer patients suffer from these four. To get the cancer tests done patients have to come to Nizamabad from remote places, instead our bus will come to your place and do expensive tests costing Rs 4000 to Rs 5000, for free. Through this Mega Screening Camp, we will cover the entire Nizamabad population in a year’s time.

Shri Rajeshwar Rao said, Cancer was unknown when I was young, later though it was detected there was no cure for cancer. Today the numbers are rising, many are falling victim to cancer and there is treatment for Cancer. Cancer patients from Adilabad and Nizamabad are compelled to go to Hyderabad to seek treatment at their expense, however with the setting up of Indur Cancer Hospital in Nizamabad, they need not go that far and come here. The screening camp being conducted by Grace Cancer Foundation and Indur Cancer Hospital will help and serve people of Nizamabad by providing free screening and detect cancer early.

Qmamu is becoming the most liked search engine by users surpassing the other search engines with a big ratio

Vocal for Local, under India’s ongoing initiative, Atmanirbhar Abhiyan is reaching new heights every day. Up until now, we have been using foreign search engines. India did not have any search engine of its own, which has been recognized not only in India but abroad as well. Keeping this in mind, Nishith Rajeshbhai Dhanani, a young man from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has launched a new private search engine on 26 January, completely based on the security of user data.

Data is saved in encrypted form in the fast operating Qmamu search engine and has the power to provide search results five times faster than the other search engines. Thus, it has become the world’s fastest powered search engine. Not only this but now, the user will also not have to face data loss because Qmamu will focus directly on the user searched data without performing unnecessary loading while performing the search.

According to Nishith, “Everyone has the right to access and search the internet. This belief inspired us to create India’s own private search engine in India. Qmamu is a home ground search engine made to dedicate to the country and the countrymen. That’s why it was launched on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day. Qmamu is a search engine designed to benefit local and small businesses, who does not maintain any search history nor track user search.”

So, what are we waiting for? Let us take another step towards Atmanirbhar India by adopting the Qmamu search engine, which is dedicated entirely to India and its people.

Flipspaces Launches VIZSTORE App To Revamp Furniture and Furnishing Retail

New Delhi:  Flipspaces, India’s leading interior design and build venture has launched VIZSTORE, a virtual store which allows furniture and furnishing product owners to digitize the product display, visualization and selection experience using virtual reality technology.

The cutting-edge technology has been especially created to revolutionize furniture and  furnishing retail businesses and boost their sales by reducing the store rent to mere 3 paise per sq.ft. VIZSTORE is poised to reinvent the furniture and furnishing retail landscape as businesses can now sell anywhere with the virtual store, cut down on exorbitant rent costs, create 10+ product mock-ups (businesses can showcase their products with multiple mock-ups helping clients to choose faster), maintain digital catalogs, store and easily track customers’ details, and make data-driven business decisions with the in-built analytics.

Flipspaces provides end-to-end solutions to businesses looking to set up their virtual store, right from discovering & digitizing product catalogs to deploying VIZSTORE license in the business’s hardware to disseminating training to the staff and associates.

Giving a virtual tour to customers before they finalize the products that they would like to buy will give an immense boost to the sales. A virtual store can sell nearly a limitless number of items. Economic Survey 2021 points out to V-shaped recovery; Support Measures Needed by Govt to keep up the momentum

New Delhi: There has been a strong recovery in the Indian real estate market, especially in the affordable housing segment, after the lockdown has been eased. The real estate sector, displaying exemplary resilience, has recorded 150 percent jump in housing prices in the July-Sep quarter of 2020 as compared to the immediately preceding quarter, according to the Economic Survey 2021.

“During the quarter July 2020 to September 2020, transactions for HPI@Assessment Prices have increased by around 150 per cent on Q-o-Q basis, thus, it is observed that sales have retrieved in affordable segments, reflecting economic recovery in the real estate sector,” said the Economic Survey presented by the Union Finance Minister Niramal Sitharaman. The National Housing Bank’s House Price Indices (HPI) measures movement in prices of residential properties.

The NHB prepares two kinds of indices- HPI@Assessment Prices and HPI@ Market Prices – Under Construction Properties. “Total number of transactions for HPI@Assessment Price reduced by 71 percent from March-June 2020 on Q-o-Q basis while on YoY basis transactions reduced by 67 percent from June 2019 to June 2020” said the Survey. Thus, it can be inferred that the pandemic and lockdown did impact the real estate industry quite significantly but the sector has bounced back smartly.

“The government has done a spectacular job in easing the lockdown at the right time. With a calibrated approach, the construction and infrastructure industries have done well and poised for better show in the months to come. The government now needs to give infrastructure status to the real estate also to bring in required FDI and help the industry to blossom properly,” said Ankit Kansal, Founder and MD, 360 Realtors.

The last few months of 2020 have seen laborers come back to project sites and there is fair progress in the infrastructure projects too. “Now the government needs to keep up the momentum by launching some path breaking initiatives and ably support the growth of the important infrastructure sector in the country. Adequate focus has to be given to tourism infrastructure sector also. The Tourism industry, which was the worst affected in the pandemic, has tremendous employment generation scope.” said Aditya Chamaria, Managing Director, Damodar Ropeways & Infra Ltd.

Immediately after the lockdown was eased, some important decisions were taken by the government like granting extension in deadline of the real estate projects.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had asked the state RERA authorities to treat COVID-19 situation as ‘Force Majeure’. The Minister asked the state authorities to extend registration and completion dates suo-moto by six months of all registered projects expiring on or after 25 March 2020. It also said that state regulatory authorities can extend this by further months if needed.

“The step was extremely important and came in at the right time. It was done to ease the problem of shortage of labour which had gone to their native cities and towns. Now the government can address the problem by focusing on housing for the laborers in major cities by providing land at cheaper prices and doing away with taxes on all the raw material for houses for the laborers,” said Dhiraj Jain, Director, Mahagun Group.

The real estate sector has been suffering from many years now and the corona pandemic has made the matter worse. “Now is the ideal time for the government to bring in sops and support the industry which employs about 1 crore people and contributes about 7 percent of the economy. The anomalies refraining Input tax Credit can be put to rest by the government which is causing a lot of suffering to the developers,” said Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Group.

The Indian economy showed humungous resilience and bounced back smartly after a sharp contraction of 23.9 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal. (FY21). The next quarter saw a contraction of just 7.7 percent, according to the Economic Survey 2021. The growth in next fiscal (FY21-22) is projected to be a massive 11 percent, far more than what most other economies will see. “The momentum in recovery is strong and the government can do a lot to keep up the trajectory of growth, while the private sector is chipping in. The government can focus more on infrastructure which will have a multiplier effect on many sectors including the real estate sector,” said Amit Modi, Director, ABA Corp & President (Elect), CREDAI Western UP.

Real estate is an important sector of the economy and it is likely to employ about 1.7-1.8 crore people by 2025.

“The retail and entertainment segment of the real estate sector has been hit hard and continues to face pressures owing to pandemic. The government must support the retail and entertainment industry such as malls and multiplexes by easing the lockdown SOP’s further. Also we expect some relief in taxation for the Multiplex and Restaurant operators. The industry has a potential to jump in completed space to 8 billion square feet in 2025 from around 3.6 billion square feet in 2013”, said Uddhav Poddar, MD, Bhumika Group. The industry has a potential to jump in completed space to 8 billion square feet in 2025 from around 3.6 billion square feet in 2013.

The real estate sector has been hit hard by the pandemic. Although there is recovery now, the government must lend a helping hand to the developers across the country. One of the long standing demands of the industry has been to enlarge the price bracket of affordable homes so that more home buyers can take advantage of the tax confessions available to houses costing up Rs45 lakh as of now. The government should take care as soon as possible, said Arfeen Ahmed, Director, Homekey.

Now the industry is keeping its fingers crossed in hope for some relief/support measures in the upcoming budget.

Tenable Empowers MSSPs to Launch Cloud-Based Vulnerability Management Services within Minutes

Bengaluru: Tenable®, Inc., the Cyber Exposure company announced an enhanced Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) portal to supercharge partners’ cloud-based vulnerability management offerings with Tenable.io®. The updated portal will enable MSSPs to self-provision and self-service their own Tenable.io instances, up to 1,000 assets, empowering partners to build and launch vulnerability management services in the cloud within minutes.
In 2021, there will be an estimated 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs, according to Cybersecurity Ventures. This widening skills gap comes at a time when organizations are struggling to get their hands around distributed work environments, new technologies and legacy IT. As a result, many are turning to MSSPs as their trusted advisers to secure these increasingly complex and dynamic environments.

“MSSPs have become the cybersecurity backbone of small-to-medium-sized businesses and Fortune 500 enterprises,” said Mark Thurmond, chief operating officer, Tenable. “With such a massive, untapped market opportunity, the Tenable.io MSSP portal will enable partners to spin up their own cloud-based vulnerability management services in minutes. Our commitment to and partnership with MSSPs reflects our conviction that speed is strategic, especially in the cloud.”

The portal will be available to Tenable’s more than 350 MSSP partners, including 16 of the top 20 providers according to Gartner market share data*, and will include the following key features:

● Multi-Tenancy Console: Partners can self-provision and self-service each of their customers’ Tenable.io containers — from managing to monitoring to reporting — within one unified interface. The MSSP onboarding process will also be fully automated with the ability to dynamically assign new Tenable.io containers to partners’ MSSP Portals at the time of provisioning.

● Single Sign-On: Partners only have to maintain a single set of user credentials to service all of their Tenable.io customers. After a single authentication, security service analysts will be able to securely access specific customers’ Tenable.io containers with the click of a button. Partners will also have the ability to restrict access to individual customer instances so that security analysts can only view customer environments they are responsible for.

● Enterprise-Grade Data Security: The Tenable.io portal is a management layer that works on top of the company’s standard Tenable.io architecture which adheres to stringent security requirements. This means customer data is still 100 percent contained within their own Tenable.io container, fully encrypted and not accessible by any other parties. The portal will also enable role-based access control to restrict account access to only authorized users.

“Tenable’s newly enhanced MSSP portal provides our team with multi-tenant management capabilities and all from one portal,” said Rob Watson, Vice President of Security Services for eSentire, a leading global Managed Detection and Response (MDR) security services provider. “For example, we can log into all of our customers’ cloud containers, and it greatly reduces the need to manage multiple credentials per end-user container. This and other new functionality simplifies the overall delivery of our MDR security services.”

The Tenable.io MSSP portal enhancements are being rolled out in a phased approach. All enhancements will be available by the end of Q1 free of charge to all qualified MSSP partners.

Police Commissioner inaugurates PRONAM office in Kolkata

Kolkata: The Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, Mr Anuj Sharma, IPS, formally inaugurated Pronam office in Kolkata in the presence of Goutam Ghose, Working President, The Bengal, and Arindam Sil and Esha Dutta, members of The Bengal and Joint Convenors of Pronam, along with other dignitaries and Kolkata Police officials. The Pronam project for senior citizens of Kolkata is run by Kolkata Police in collaboration with city-based non-governmental organization (NGO) The Bengal.

“I am glad that Pronam now has an additional state-of-the-art office. The Kolkata Police has created a 24×7 infrastructure to support the senior citizens of our city and ensure their safety. Pronam also organises various cultural activities for the elderly during the year,” Mr Sharma said.

Project Pronam, which currently has nearly 20,000 registered senior citizens on its roll, was started in June 2010. The Pronam project is supported by Shree Cement Ltd as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
“The Pronam project has grown over the years and reached out to the senior citizens of the city providing security and moral support. The corona virus outbreak has posed a serious question mark on the well-being of senior citizens in Kolkata, especially those who live by themselves. Many elderly residents of Kolkata have children working outside the city or country and are hard up to carry out the daily chores like going to the market or doctors. The Pronam staff with the help of Kolkata Police personnel have stood by the elderly during these trying times,” said industrialist Hari Mohan Bangur, Chairman, The Bengal, in a message.

“This additional Pronam office, which is an Emergency Coordination Room for Senior Citizens, is a modern fully-equipped computerized office with video conferencing facility which would further streamline Pronam’s functioning and managing the ever-growing registration base of senior citizens,” said Esha Dutta, Joint Convenor of Pronam.

The Kolkata Police has a dedicated Senior Citizen Helpline Number for the elderly to call on and report their problem. The Pronam office works 24 hours with the helpline 03324190740.

On an average, Pronam receives close to 1000 applications each month from senior citizens seeking membership. Currently, senior citizens above the age of 60 years living within the jurisdiction of Kolkata are eligible for Pronam membership under certain criteria.

“Pronam has been very successful in reaching out to the elderly in Kolkata and there is a huge demand to expand its sphere and cover more senior citizens. The Pronam project has been very successful in creating a community service model for the elderly. At this time our helpline is buzzing with calls for groceries and medicines. We are trying our best to meet the requests. Now, with two offices of Pronam the coordination work would be a lot smoother,” Mr Sundeep Bhutoria, Secretary General, The Bengal.

At present Jogen Choudhury is the President of The Bengal and Goutam Ghose the Working President. Other members of The Bengal include Usha Uthup, Dona Ganguly, Bickram Ghose, Arindam Sil, Agnimitra Paul who extend their support to the Pronam project.
