Compaq to launch a new range of Smart TVs in India on Flipkart

Compaq today announced the launch of its Smart TV segment in India in partnership on Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, to cater to the growing demand for smart TVs in the country. The new range of Smart TVs will be available on Flipkart from 1 September 2020, onwards.

The Compaq Smart TVs come equipped with the latest technologies offer a seamless and immersive viewing experience to new-age users with some exciting personalization and experience enhancers. India is one of the largest markets in the world with more than 200 million potential TV households according to Counterpoint Research. However, it is still underpenetrated which makes India an attractive growth market for the entire TV and content value chain. Broader internet penetration and the rapidly growing number of smartphone users in India are powering the Smart TV industry as users look to continue their streaming content consumption on bigger screens when at home.
