Tribal Women Of Raj Uphaar Power Go First’s New In-Flight Menu

New Delhi: GO FIRST (formerly known as GoAir) today introduced a range of sweets and savouries as part of the in-flight menu in association with Raj Uphaar, an initiative by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD).

GO FIRST has added rice chakri, masala wafers, almond thins and waffle chips to its in-flight menu on the domestic and international network. These products are made by tribal women of Raj Uphaar, a women empowerment programme of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, an initiative under SRMD. This initiative is part of GO FIRST’s commitment to the upliftment and empowerment of the marginalised sections of society.

As part of the introductory offer, GO FIRST is offering a 20% discount for online and on-board purchases till August 31, 2021.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, GO FIRST said, “We at GO FIRST have led various initiatives for the empowerment of the marginalised sections of society. This innovative initiative is an extension of our ongoing social programs and is aimed at inclusiveness and empowerment of these wonderfully talented women at Raj Uphaar. The facility at Dharampur maintains food hygiene standards and the Raj Upahaar also has the FSSAI accredition for its facility and products. We are delighted to provide support, even though small it may be for this noble and social cause.”

Commenting on the development, Shri Atmarpit Nemiji, Trustee, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, said, “Rural women have evolved and truly benefitted from ‘Raj Uphaar’. Raj Uphaar is a laboratory of innovation; a school of learning; a space of conquering fears, building confidence, cultivating values; and a home for holistic development.”

Raj Uphaar empowers many underprivileged tribal women of South Gujarat towards self-reliance and sustainable livelihood.

GO FIRST works extensively with various organizations and also actively contributes to various social welfare initiatives. It recently enabled the transportation of oxygen cylinders for COVID patients across the country.

Go First Celebrates India’s Record Best Performance At Tokyo Olympics

Mumbai: GO FIRST, founded as GoAir, is celebrating India’s best-ever haul of seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by offering free travel to all medal-winners for the next five years, until 2025 on the ever expanding domestic and international network. India finished its campaign with one gold, two silvers and four bronze medals.

Neeraj Chopra won gold in the Men’s Javelin Throw final to win independent India’s first medal in athletics on Saturday. His gold is also India’s second-ever individual gold medal at the Olympics after Abhinav Bindra won the shooting gold at Beijing in 2008.

Speaking on the country’s best-ever performance in the Olympics, a delighted Mr Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, GO FIRST said, “The entire nation is elated at the unprecedented success of our Olympic contingent. GO FIRST Flies High With Increased Market Share And Healthy Load Factor

Hyderabad: GO FIRST (formerly known as GoAir) registered a high passenger load factor (PLF) at 70.9% in June 2021, increasing its market share to 8.3% as per the data released by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

GO FIRST had the least cancelled flights at 0.1% and minimum passenger complaints at 0.1%. This speaks volumes about the carrier’s operational efficiency and commitment to optimum customer service. It continued to score a steady 92.2% in On-Time Performance (OTP).

Mr Kaushik Khona, CEO, GO FIRST, said, “After a couple of extremely tough months for the sector, June brought back much-needed optimism. While the civil aviation industry has been grappling with the pandemic, GO FIRST has continued in its efforts to provide customers’ exemplary service.”

Aimed at expanding dedicated cargo services in the CIS region, GO FIRST is committed to delivering critical logistics during the pandemic between India and CIS nations.
