ICICI Bank and HPCL launch ‘ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver’ co-branded Credit Card

Mumbai: ICICI Bank announced the launch of a co-branded credit card with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to enable users to get benefits and reward points of using multiple credit cards in one. Named, ‘ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver Credit Card’, the card offers best-in-class rewards and benefits to customers on their everyday spends on fuel as well as other categories including electricity and mobile, departmental stores like Big Bazaar and D-Mart, and e-commerce portals, among others. Powered by VISA, the card is unique among its peers which typically offer benefits on only one category of spends.

Customers can apply for the ‘ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver Credit Card’ through the Bank’s internet banking platform or the mobile banking app, iMobile Pay. They get a digital card in a 100% contactless and paperless manner. The physical card is also sent to the customer by ICICI Bank within a few days. Further, customers can manage their transaction setting and credit limit conveniently on iMobile Pay app.

Additionally, they can upgrade their existing ICICI Bank credit card to ‘ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver Credit Card’ using iMobile Pay and internet banking.

Features of the ICICI Bank HPCL Super Saver Credit Card:

· 5% cashback on spends on fuel at HPCL retail outlets which includes 4% cashback and 1% surcharge waiver

· Additional 1.5% benefit as PAYBACK reward points on spends on fuel made through HPCL’s ‘HP Pay’ app

· 5% benefit as PAYBACK reward points on spends on electricity and mobile as well as shopping at large departmental stores like Big Bazaar and D-Mart.

The PAYBACK points are credited to the customer’s PAYBACK account which is auto-created at the time of issuance of the card. Customers can then redeem these points as per their choice on the PAYBACK website, ‘HP Pay’ app, or at PAYBACK partners stores/website. They can also redeem the PAYBACK points for purchasing fuel at HPCL retail outlets.

ICICI Bank partners with Greater Chennai Corporation and Chennai Smart City Limited to launch ‘Namma Chennai Smart Card’

Chennai: ICICI Bank  announced the launch of a Common Payment Card System (CPCS) in partnership with the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) and Chennai Smart City Limited (CSCL) to provide citizens a one-stop solution for making various kind of payments within the city and beyond. Called ‘Namma Chennai Smart Card’, the Rupay powered co-branded, contactless prepaid card, will facilitate various digital payments like tax and utility bill payments at the GCC centres. Additionally, the prepaid card facilitates retail payments within Chennai as well as in retail stores and e-commerce websites across the country.

Thiru Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, unveiled the ‘Namma Chennai Smart Card’ in the presence of Mr. Vetrivel G., Zonal Head – Institutional Business & GBG, ICICI Bank; Mr. Maddipatla Himadar, Zonal Head- Retail, ICICI Bank and other senior officials of the Bank.

This new initiative will make Chennai a part of the list of international cities that offer a Common Payment Card platform to its residents for making seamless payments for an array of services within the city.

With the ‘Namma Chennai Smart Card’, residents will be able to undertake the following activities:

· Payments at GCC centres: Residents can use the card to make tax/ utility bill payments at the GCC centers. This facility will be available in few weeks.

· Shop online and at stores: Armed with the card, residents can purchase goods from retail stores, pay for movie tickets, dine and shop online on e-commerce websites across the country.

· Manage card online: The card is backed by various features, which residents can manage seamlessly online on a dedicated customer portal*. These include features like card block/unblock, activation, pin-reset etc. Additionally, in the coming days residents will also be able to reload the card digitally through UPI on the customer portal or the iSmart City app.

· Avail Exciting offers: Customers will also get exciting discount offers on the card round the year, which will be promoted in the coming days on the Bank’s website.

Residents can get the card issued and topped-up at GCC Main office at Ripon Building in Park Town and GCC Zone 10 office at Kodambakkam, in Chennai. This facility will soon be extended to over 200 GCC centres in the city.

ICICI Bank ties up with Niyo to issue prepaid cards to MSMEs

Mumbai: ICICI Bank, a leading private sector bank in India and Niyo, a new age fintech today announced a tie-up to issue prepaid cards to workers of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs will now be able to get ‘ICICI Bank Niyo Bharat Payroll Card’ powered by Visa, for their blue-collar workers, who are mostly under-banked. With this, MSMEs can upload the salaries of their workers on the card, which the workers can then utilise as per their need in a seamless manner. The ‘ICICI Bank Niyo Bharat Payroll Card’ allows an individual to receive funds upto Rs. 1 lakh into the card account. It offers convenience and safety of digital banking to the blue-collar workforce, while providing a state-of-the-art salary disbursement solution to the employers.

This partnership with ICICI Bank is in line with Niyo’s mission to revolutionize banking experience for India’s blue-collar workforce. With this, Niyo has announced its goal of reaching 5 million blue-collar workers in the next 5 years with its flagship product Niyo Bharat. Niyo Bharat currently has over 1.7 million customers and relationships with over 7000 corporates, adding nearly 5000 customers every day.

Any MSME can tie-up with Niyo to avail the prepaid card. After the tie-up, cards are issued to the workers at their workplace itself while their KYC verification is done simultaneously using a bio-metric device. Once activated, workers can use the card to withdraw funds at ATMs, make online transactions on e-commerce portals and make payment by swiping the card at Point of Sale (PoS) machines.

To further facilitate the cardholders, Niyo offers a multilingual app called ‘Niyo Bharat Mobile app’. Workers can download this app from Google Play Store and register themselves. The app will enable them to transfer funds, pay bills or do recharges online. It also allows them to block/unblock the card which provides them control of their card security. The cardholders also get a free accidental death insurance cover.
