Basant Goel, owner of Goel Medicos who makes headlines every now and then for his charity work is yet again making headlines for his new initiative social development campaign on National Girl Child Day.

On the occasion of the arriving National Girl Child Day which falls on the 24th of January, Basant Goel, owner of Goel Medicos is organizing a Social Development Campaign for girls where he and his team will be providing sanitary napkins to over girls up to the age of 21. Keeping in mind the winter breeze in the country’s capital, he will also be providing warm clothes to its citizens.

Apart from these, he will be fulfilling other essential requirements such as providing immunity booster capsules, medicine for cough & flu, and distributing books & notebooks to girls and their guardians.

The drive will be carried out with a novel thought of promoting the achievements that girls are contributing to the nation. The event will take place on the 23rd of January in the Shahadra region of New Delhi and will be accompanied by many local enthusiasts.

In the words of Basant Goel, he said, “Girls contribute so much to the nation, and unfortunately they remain unsung. Females can do many things better than males and they can achieve the impossible. Since we are all given birth by a female, on the 24th which is National Girl Child Day of the year 2022, I would like to contribute a token of gratitude towards the female of our country.

Basant Goel, Owner of Goel Medicos won the CSR Professional of the Year Award

Basant Goel, Owner of Goel Medicos won The CSR Times Award 2021. Given his experience and long-time tradition of giving back to the community in terms of charity and resources, he’s been nominated for the individual category for his philanthropic deeds.

The CSR Times award is a way of recognizing the efforts made by businesses to contribute to society through the means of their business and uplift those in need. It also helps boost a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility by awarding the title to those who have made significant efforts for the betterment of people.

This winter alone, Basant Goel and his team helped hundreds of people on the streets by providing blankets, masks, and so on. The Goel Medicos team has been providing means of relief to the underprivileged for almost 10 years and one of their biggest contributions has been the annual blood donation camps that help boost the availability of blood especially for the disadvantaged portion of society.

The awards will be presented online due to covid protocols. However, by awarding this title to Basant Goel and those who have been working hard to help people out, they continue to inspire people who are in the position to help.

Carrying forward the novel legacy of organizing blood camps for the last ten years, Goel Medicos under the leadership of pharmacist Basant Goel organized a blood donation camp.

The event took place on the 5th of December in the North Chajjupur region of Shahdara, New Delhi, it began at 8 am. All Covid-19 protocols as per Government guidelines such as proper masks and social distancing were maintained.

Even with the disruption of COVID-19, he still managed to organized such campaigns in the year of 2020 and 2021. As a result of this philanthropic deed, Goel Medicos has been successfully saving 500-1000 lives every year.

The campaign offered special well-thought-out gifts as an incentive to get more people to donate blood. This year, ISI-marked helmets were gifted to those who chose to donate with the selfless motive of saving the lives of those in need.

In collaboration with the We 4 Foundation, the blood donation camp was organized, wherein the people in need of blood were issued unlimited cards. These cards can be used to avail themselves of as many units of blood they require.

Goel Medicos, along with the We 4 You foundation, the Bhagwan Buddha charitable blood banks, and the Bharat Sewa Blood Center have jointly organized the event in hopes of being able to continue this life-saving tradition.
