Virtual Incubations, the next level for Start-up Incubation

We have to support incubation centers to develop virtual models to cater to the future needs, deliberated Mr. Manglesh R. Yadav, Innovation Lead, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog in a webinar organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on ‘Virtual Incubation’.

Mr. Manglesh R. Yadav while talking about the mission and objective of Atal Innovation Mission and Incubation centers mentioned that our incubation center’s growth is accelerating and we need to support them with the right human resources in the ecosystem to cater to the future needs. We are planning to establish more centers in the smaller towns and tribal areas of the country. Mr. Yadav emphasized that virtual incubations offer a lot of learning opportunities at the global level. We need to build hybrid models for building this eco-system.

Mr. Chintan Bakshi, Chief Executive Officer, Startup Oasis while discussing the impact of the pandemic on the start-up incubation industry mentioned that the pandemic has opened a plethora of opportunities for which we need to change our process of conducting training programs and experience of the incubation centers. Due to the pandemic, there is an increase in virtual mentoring and, international mentors have to ease in mentoring start-ups. There is an increase in the efficiency of backhand processes and we are focusing on making sessions more informative and interactive.

Prof. Harvinder Popli, Director, DPSRU Innovation, and Incubation Foundation shared her insights and views on virtual incubation and its importance. She also gave an overview of the market about the incubation set up and the cross benefits of Virtual Incubation programs that will help the start-ups to get better mentoring, increase their connections and amplify their business via efficient tools and services. She mentioned that there is a need for global entrepreneurs to understand the Indian market and vice versa. Virtual Incubation gives flexibility to mentor more start-ups. We need to identify areas of physical and virtual incubation for different verticals so that the programs can run smoothly.

Dr. P. J. Singh, CMD, Tynor Orthotics Pvt. Ltd mentioned that virtual incubation will be the new normal but physical incubation will always help cater to every small need for the start-ups. In future times, there needs to be a balance between physical and virtual incubation for the better mentoring and growth of the industry.

Mr. Erik Azulay, Director, Alliance for Commercialisation and Innovation Research (ACIR) gave his perspective on the best practices of virtual incubation programs. It can reach everyone with ease in less time involving less cost.

Mr. Ashish Aggarwal, Chairman, Startup Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry while moderating the technical session, mentioned that the objective of the webinar is to understand how virtual incubation will be beneficial to all stakeholders of the industry so that it can benefit the industry in the post-pandemic times. He emphasized that Virtual Incubation needs to be in the smaller towns of the country so that they can be benefits from them as well.

Honda India Power Products Ltd. reaches 5 Million unit sales milestone in 2020

New Delhi, 16th December 2020 – Honda India Power Products Limited (HIPP), a leading manufacturer of power products in India, has completed 35 glorious years of its operations in the country. During the course of this memorable journey, HIPP has brought smiles to over 5 million customers in India and overseas. November performance helps NMDC grow from strength to strength

Hyderabad: NMDC, the country’s largest Iron Ore producing Navratna Company, continued to better the operational performance during the month of November 2020 in production and sales over the CPLY.

Iron ore production for the month of November 2020 is 3.32 MT (Million Tonnes) has registered a growth of 13%, despite restrictions and unfavorable weather conditions against the production of 2.94 MT in November 2019.

Iron ore sales for the month of November 2020 improved to 3.30 MT has registered a growth of 18 % against the 2.79 MT in sales that NMDC achieved in the corresponding month of November 2019.

Production and sales are on an uptick and showing healthy growth each month. This is gradually catching up to the level of 2019’s production and sales.

NMDC is continually maintaining strong performance indicators for the last few months and is expected to reach last year’s production levels in the next few months. NMDC is determined to continue this growth streak. The production is also being continuously scaled up to compensate for the earlier loss. The industry has started responding to the positive sentiments of the economy and demand is expected to go up in the next FY. NMDC is confident to cater to the needs of both national and international customers.

Shri Sumit Deb, CMD, NMDC expressed satisfaction with the performance of NMDC and said “The company’s monthly performance has transcended November 2019’s production and sales and we will soon catch up with the cumulative figure of the previous year. I am hopeful that the performance will improve further on the back of better demand and gradual improvement in ground conditions. I would like to congratulate team NMDC for this outstanding performance; it is their hard work and determination that is paying off.”

Master Green Park in Sector 117 will provide boost to real estate

Noida: Real estate in sectors around Noida sector 117 got a fresh boost when Noida Authority announced that it would develop an 18-acre park with a butterfly design theme. To be ready by next year, the Master Green Park will have a cricket pitch, amphitheater, cafeteria, parking space, and convenience shops. The residents of sector 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, 116 and 115, 118, 120 will benefit from the development and the properties here are going to witness good appreciation in the short term.

Talking about the lifestyle change that this park will bring for this sector and adjoining sectors, Harvinder Singh Sikka, MD, Sikka Group, says, “Any infrastructural development in an area uplifts the real estate in and around the adjoining sectors. The park will bring in a healthy environment for the residents, and this will make others move to this sector. The nearby areas will also witness an appreciation in prices. We welcome the step taken by the Noida Authority for the betterment of Noida’s environment.”

The upcoming park will have parking for 200 vehicles, and toilets. According to the officials, 90% of the work is complete, and the park will be ready next year. After the pandemic, people are looking for wellness amenities in the projects, and a park developed by the authority is an added advantage.”
