Indo British’ Electric Mobility brand GoZero Mobility welcomes the Enhanced Trade Partnership (ETP)

New Delhi: Gozero Mobility, a British performance electric bicycle and active wear maker, is in high spirits as the UK Finalises GBP 1 Billion worth Trade Deals with India, creating over 6,500 jobs in Britain. The five key areas it will focus on are the people-to-people relationship, trade and prosperity, defence and security, climate action and healthcare. The UK companies clinching export deals with India include Morningside Pharmaceuticals with an R&D pact, Kloudpad with a data centres deal, BP in a partnership with Infosys and GoZero Mobility with an e-bicycles deal.

The manufacturer has its headquarters in Birmingham and manufacturing base in Kolkata, India. The India team currently has 22 employees, some of which have been hired from elite B-schools in India. At present GoZero is present in over 60 cities in India with a large retail network. The company recently collaborated with Reliance Digital (India’s largest electronics retail company) to extend its presence to 500+ cities. Within just 11 months of its entry into the Indian market, the company became “Best Sellers” on Amazon in the eBike category.

Commenting on the future plan on investment in UK & India, GoZero Mobility’s CEO, Ankit Kumar, said, “Gozero Mobility plans to invest GBP 7 Million in the UK market to expand research and development activities, increase retail footprint and set up local assembly units.

In this endeavour, GoZero aims to create 100 unique jobs in the next 5 years in the UK market mainly in the new product development segment.

GoZero aims to sell over 80,000 units in the next 5 years in the UK market contributing to a reduction of ~50,000 tonnes of CO2 (Carbon reduction).

Furthermore, GoZero Mobility plans to invest GBP 10 Million (~INR 100 Crores) in the Indian market to expand manufacturing and retail presence GoZero will also boost exports to neighbouring markets such as Bangladesh, Dubai, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Towards this, GoZero aims to create 250 unique jobs in the next 5 years in the Indian market.

GoZero aims to sell over 150,000 units in the next 5 years in the Indian market contributing to a reduction of ~80,000 tonnes of CO2 (Carbon reduction).”

As per the recent news The ETP will set the ambition to double the value of UK-India trade by 2030 and future UK-India trade deal will support hundreds of thousands of jobs and boost the economies of both the UK and India by potentially lowering or removing current tariffs such as those of up to 150 per cent on whisky and up to 125 per cent on automotive as well as on other British products.

GoZero Skellig E-bikes deliveries impacted due to the agricultural bill protests in Punjab

New Delhi: GoZero Mobility- a British Electric Bike makers, known for manufacturing premium electric performance bikes and signature lifestyle merchandise has recently announced a shift in delivery dates of its e-bikes from 25th November to 14th December.

Owing to the agricultural bill protests in Punjab, majority of the trains have been cancelled which has resulted in shortage of raw materials and component availability.

Commenting on the current situation in Punjab, GoZero Mobility’s CEO, Ankit Kumar, said “It’s unfortunate that due to the protests in Punjab, all form of logistics have been highly impacted resulting in high number of train cancellations thus impacting the movement of raw materials and components of the e-bikes.  Our vendors are working on priority to help us with the components and this shall soon be resolved. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers and dealer partners because of such circumstances. We are thankful to all our customers and dealer partners who have pre-booked Skellig series and have continued their trust in the Brand. We are working to begin Skellig deliveries from 14th December.”

GoZero made an entry into the Indian market in 2019 with two models – the One and the Mile, which has done extremely well. Overwhelmed by the demand and market sentiments, GoZero has recently launched its first series of performance wear e-bike Skellig Lite, Skelling, Skelling Pro. The new Skellig series by GoZero is available for pre-orders on GoZero website and the deliveries will begin from 14th December.

Baring Private Equity Asia invests in RBL Bank

J. Sagar Associates (JSA) advised Maple II B.V. an investing entity of Baring Private Equity Asia, on its investment in RBL Bank Limited (“RBL Bank”) for an aggregate consideration of approximately INR 1000 crores. The investment is part of a larger fundraise of INR 1565 crores by RBL Bank. Other investors include CDC Group, Gaja Capital and ICICI Prudential Life.

RBL Bank is a private sector bank incorporated in the year 1943 (erstwhile known as Ratnakar Bank). RBL Bank currently offers specialized services under six business verticals namely: Corporate & Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking, Branch & Business Banking, Retail Assets, Development Banking and Financial Inclusion, Treasury and Financial Markets Operations. The shares of RBL Bank are currently listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.
