Speaking on the occasion, Amritanshu Bhattacharya, Managing Editor & Business Head, TV9 Bangla, shares, “We have always heard the saying ‘Health is Wealth,’ yet we rarely give it much thought until our health takes a turn for the worse. In such critical moments, the task performed by those who save our lives is akin to taking a penalty kick in football—a high-stakes, decisive moment. We naturally assume that doctors will provide the necessary treatment and we will recover; if things don’t go as planned, the blame often falls on the doctor. On behalf of TV9, we want to highlight the vital role these professionals play in touching and safeguarding our lives—a role that is often thankless. When we at TV9 decided to focus on stories that touch lives, we wanted to learn more about the people who are even more deeply connected to life itself than we are. We encountered individuals whose dedication was truly astonishing; we hadn’t imagined that service to humanity could reach such extraordinary heights. We often complain about what doesn’t happen here, but the sheer scale of achievement in Bengal’s healthcare sector is beyond imagination. That is when we decided to create this unique program—a tribute to the medical community and the doctors who are so integral to our lives. We aim to share their achievements with everyone, fostering an understanding of what they have accomplished and what remains possible. Our ‘Suswasthya’ program has been running for years, and this year’s edition promises to be a landmark event. I believe that once you see these true role models and witness their work firsthand, it will inspire us all to approach our own lives and work in a better, more meaningful way.”
TV9 Bangla Suswasthya 2026 stands as a tribute to the doctors and healthcare institutions whose relentless pursuit of excellence continues to safeguard lives and inspire a healthier future for Bengal.
