Mount Litera Zee School Students Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with HCG Cancer Centre Clinicians and Caregivers

Nagpur, August 12th 2025: In a heartwarming gesture of respect and gratitude, students from Mount Litera Zee School, Nagpur visited HCG Cancer Centre, Nagpur to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with the hospital’s clinicians and caregivers. The initiative aimed to honour the entire caregiving team for their tireless dedication and compassionate service to cancer patients.

To ensure patient safety, the program was held in a separate premises, keeping students away from patient areas while still creating a warm and interactive atmosphere. During the event, students tied rakhis to doctors, nurses, and other caregivers, symbolizing a bond of trust, care, and protection between the community and healthcare providers.

Ms. Neeta Rajwar, Chief Operating Officer, HCG Cancer Centre, Nagpur, who expressed, “This celebration is more than a festival—it’s a reminder that our commitment to our patients is also a commitment to society. We are grateful to these young minds for acknowledging the work our doctors, nurses, and caregivers do every day.”

Dr. Nitin Bomanwar, Associate Director, Surgical Oncology, also received a rakhi from a student. Sharing his thoughts, he said, “Raksha Bandhan is about promises of care and protection. For us, whether as doctors or caregivers, this is a daily oath. Today’s gesture strengthens that resolve and fills us with pride and humility.”

The event concluded with heartfelt smiles, photographs, and a renewed promise of compassionate care for the community.
