Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Diabetes, and Thyroid, is there a connection

Mumbai, 26th June 2022: Vitiligo is a non-contagious, skin condition where an individual’s skin develops smooth white patches or macules. It usually appears on the face, feet, forearms, and hands. Around 2-5% of India’s population suffers from vitiligo and yet, a large number of patients are left untreated due to the lack of medical resources and high treatment costs. Furthermore, the social stigma associated with skin illnesses such as vitiligo impairs the patient’s physical and emotional health. They believe there is no way out of the condition. But the good news is, that there is hope and healing with the help of homeopathy. Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, and effective way to treat vitiligo.

Eminent Homeopath, Dr. Mukesh Batra, Padma Shree Recipient & Founder of the Dr Batra’s Group of Companies, states that Vitiligo has a strong link with other auto-immune diseases such as Thyroid disease, psoriasis, and diabetes. He adds, that the number of vitiligo patients treated at Dr Batra’s Healthcare is 25,047. Out of which, 3,143 patients were simultaneously suffering from auto-immune conditions such as psoriasis, thyroid disease, or diabetes. The doctors at Dr Batra’s also observed that the prevalence of vitiligo is high in 20 to 25-year-olds.

Dr Batra’s Healthcare has been successful in giving these vitiligo patients a new ray of hope with the help of natural homeopathic remedies. The vitiligo patients treated with homeopathic medicines are now leading a normal life, a life full of love, and opportunities.

Commenting on World Vitiligo Day, Dr Mukesh Batra, Padmashri recipient, and Founder – of Dr Batra’s Group of Companies, said “In my 50 years of Homeopathy career I have seen that Vitiligo has been the most commonly misunderstood and misrepresented skin ailment. One of the most common myths about Vitiligo is that it is contagious, even though it is not. Vitiligo can be so unpredictable that a patient can wake up the following day with a new white patch or an increase in the size of previous white patches on the skin.

While mentioning the myths, he also added, “The causes of vitiligo can be attributed to various factors such as family history, auto-immune disease, extreme stress, and genetic mutations. Stress & anxiety can affect the patient emotionally and further aggravate vitiligo. However, homeopathic treatment for vitiligo addresses the symptoms and its psychological effect on the patient’s daily life. Homeopathy for vitiligo doesn’t work on suppressing the symptoms but triggers re-pigmentation in the most natural, safe, and effective way.”
