SwarDarbar”, presents “Basant Ki Bahar”- a celebration of the beauty of spring, at GD Birla Sabhaghar, Kolkata on 2nd of April 2023 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm hosted by Sonali Chattopadhyay and Pratiti Mandal. An evening filled with performances of Indian classical artists.
The program will be featuring:
· Iraban Jha, Archishman Sinha Roy, Anchit Majhi, Arka Ghosh in Tabla Lahara , accompanied by Sajal Das in Harmonium,
· Tandra Sarbajna and Anish Koly in Kathak Dance,
· Arka Roy & Shounak Roy in Sarod accompanied by Hrithik Mondal in Tabla,
· Sandip Bhattacharjee in Vocal, accompanied by Pt. Tanmoy Bose in Tabla, Gaurab Chatterjee in Harmonium and Sarwar Hussain in Sarangi;
· Abhay Rustum Sopori in Santoor accompanied by Soumen Nandi in Tabla and Rishi Shankar Upadhyay in Pakhawaj.
Ms Marcia Miller, The President of Swar Darbar (USA) will also attend the event and share her views, Mission & Vision of SwarDarbar, Inc., inaugurated in 2019, as a U.S. 501(C)(3)- an non-profit organization founded in USA and in India , by eminent vocalist Shri Sandip Bhattacharjee , Susmita Chakraborty and Ms Marcia Miller, to preserve and advance in all of its exquisite perfection, the classical vocal artistry of India by presenting performances of pure authenticity, to current appreciators and new audiences, and by offering opportunities to learn from and apprentice with masters of their respective vocal lineages.
