Every year on May 25, people all around the world commemorate Africa Day to honor the vision and significant accomplishments made towards “An Integrated, Prosperous, and Peaceful Africa,” which is led by its people and is a dynamic force in the world. The Organization of African Unity was established on this day. The day honors the diversity and beauty of African culture as well as the continent’s togetherness. It is a day set aside to celebrate the advancements the continent has accomplished. The company will commemorate its 60th birthday this year. Instead, the NIU Cultural Committee and International Relations Office celebrated Africa Day on May 29, 2023, with the subject “African Culture,” to highlight the talent of our university’s African students.
The following delegations took part in the celebration of Africa Day:
His Excellency Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge’ d’ Affaires, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Mrs. Marosa Fedel Makhojane Khojane, Third Secretary (Diplomat), High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho & other Staffs, Mr. Peter Hobwani, Deputy Ambassador/Head of Chancery Embassy of Zimbabwe and Amb. Faruk U. A, from Nigeria, is the President, Representative of the Association of African Students in India.
Prof. Dr. Uma Bhardwaj Vice-chancellor of Noida International University on the occasion of Africa Day says, “No changes are occurring right away that would define the borders of an outbreak. The system will have several new flexibility features by 2020. The fact that education is transdisciplinary does not mean that we will break down barriers that prevent a science student from studying economics. I have a background in the arts, but I am unable to study physics. There are no such borders, therefore if I complete my degree in physics and decide to seek a Ph.D. in economics, I am unable to cross such boundaries. The NEP 2020 allows for system adaptability. Our current opinion is that the educational system needs to be transdisciplinary. As a result, we are better informed. The focus is now on co-curricular activities, not classroom or in-class instruction, according to the NEP 2020. The only way to provide kids with the abilities they need is by engaging them in an increasing number of academic activities. So this is how each dean fulfills their responsibility. We are pleased to inform you that Noida International University now has 13 schools. This year, the school of pharmacy was launched after receiving approval from the Indian Pharmacy Council.”
