MAHE Bengaluru Successfully Concludes Landmark “Wavelength” Conclave
Bengaluru, 16th April 2025: The Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (DLHS) at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru Campus successfully hosted the first edition of Wavelength – a two-day Media Conclave, which brought together distinguished media professionals, academic leaders, and aspiring communicators to engage in dialogue, learning, and industry exchange.
The event commenced with a powerful keynote by Dhanya Rajendran, Editor-in-Chief of The News Minute, who highlighted the irreplaceable value of field journalism in the digital age.
“Journalism is one profession that AI can never really replace; because you can’t expect AI to walk into a riot and come out with a reason and a story.”
Day 1 featured panel discussions with Adyasha Roy Tomar, Dr. Samir Kapur, Meera Krishnan, Nigel Sequeira, Narahari K.S., and Nandita Lakshmanan, who shared insights on branding, public trust, ethical storytelling, and the role of communication in shaping narratives.
Day 2 carried the momentum forward with a dynamic masterclass by filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar, known for Shaitaan and Wazir, who encouraged collaborative learning among young creators:

The second day’s panelists—Trishant Srivastava, Arjya Patnaik, Srinivasan S., Anusha Ravi Sood, Tanay Sukumar, and Rahul Bidappa—discussed digital storytelling, content production, political reporting, and the rapidly changing audio-visual media landscape.
Wavelength 2025 emerged as a platform for critical reflection and creative inspiration, reinforcing MAHE Bengaluru’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of media professionals.
