News18 Odia introduces ‘Amo Belabhumi Swachha Sundara – Clean the Beaches of Odisha’ campaign urging citizens to keep its idyllic beaches clean

~ The month-long campaign will feature noteworthy reports and discussions on the significance of Odisha’s beaches and the need to conserve its health ~ 

16th December 2021: Along with being a state known for its cultural and tourist attractions, the state of Odisha prides itself with a striking coastline that spans 480 kms. Home to some of the best beaches on the east coast, there are a host of picturesque spots where one can watch a sunrise or the setting sun by the beach. That said, beaches are only clean as their people maintain it.

Though some organizations and individuals are working tirelessly in this field, mass awareness among people of coastal areas is the need of the hour. Taking this very thought forward, News18 Odia, introduces a month-long campaign ‘Amo Belabhumi Swachha Sundara – Clean the Beaches of Odisha’ in their bid to create awareness for the cleanliness and development of its beaches.

The month-long campaign, started December 11 onwards, will not only showcase various stories and facts about how the clean & beautiful beaches of Odisha will play an important role in the socio-economic development of Odisha, but it will also involve all necessary stakeholders, experts in the discussion. The campaign will also highlight the stories of ordinary people and organizations who are working for this cause.

Additionally, it will also sensitize people about the necessary steps that need to be taken to attract more tourists to the beautiful beaches of Odisha. This will also lead to employment opportunities being created for locals thereby helping the state garner revenue from beach tourism as tourists are left spellbound by the scenic beauty of Odisha’s beaches.

Odisha Tourism promotes niche tourism in Industrial City Raipur

Raipur, 9th December 2021: Odisha Tourism successfully conducted its second leg of campaign to boost inbound and domestic tourists via roadshow in Raipur.

The event, organised in association with FICCI, witnessed travel operators from Chattisgarh and host counterparts from Odisha engage in a series of B2B interactions.

Aimed at strategic promotion of the travel, tourism and hospitality sector in the domestic markets, Odisha is extensively marketing its flagship campaigns, Odisha By Road complemented by the highly acclaimed Eco Retreat Odisha, a 3 month glamping event which is set to begin on 15 December 2021.

Highlighting the key offerings of Odisha across segments such as heritage tourism, ecotourism, ethnic tourism, and spiritual tourism amongst others, Tourism Director Shri Sachin R. Jadhav IAS said, “The neighbour states of Chhattisgarh and Odisha have unique offerings to exhibit to explorers. Together, our states can make this region the most sought-after winter destination for Indians, looking forward to a getaway or a weekend road trip”.

Deliberating on the excellent road network Odisha has that connects with neighbouring States, he said that Odisha Tourism is promoting various road trip itineraries under Odisha by Road Campaign. Visitors from Raipur can easily travel by road to Sambalpur in Odisha and visit key destinations like the Hirakud Reservoir, Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Harishankar-Nrusinghanath Temples, and Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary among others.

Providing a glimpse of the upcoming Eco Retreat Odisha, Shri Jadhav said, “The 3rd edition of Eco Retreat Odisha will be held across 7 exotic locations in the State including three beach destinations of Konark, Pati-Sonapur in Ganjam and Pentha in Bhitarkanika National Park, hill stations of Daringbadi and Putsil in Koraput, and near the banks of Mahanadi in Satkosia and Hirakud. The Eco Retreat in Hirakud is easily accessible by road from Raipur. This 3-month glamping event starts from 15 December 2021 and boasts of worldclass amenities for camping in luxury tents, complemented by experiences ranging from jungle trails to water sports, camp-fires to boat rides, cycling tours to adrenaline pumping activities like paragliding on the mighty Mahanadi river, and lip smacking food. IMFA celebrates 60th Foundation Day; Board approves 1:1 bonus shares

Bhubaneswar, November 26th, 2021: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India’s leading fully integrated producer of ferro alloys celebrated its 60th Foundation Day which also coincides with the 90th birth anniversary of its Founder Dr Bansidhar Panda. Commemorative events were held at the Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar besides Therubali, Choudwar & Sukinda. The special anniversary logo released on this occasion depicts the transformative journey of six decades and references infinity to signify many more milestones to come.

Dr Bansidhar Panda, a research scientist, and Mrs Ila Panda established IMFA in 1961 to initially produce silicon alloys and later diversified to chrome alloys. Starting with one furnace in a remote corner of Odisha, today IMFA is recognised globally as a quality conscious producer and reliable partner. More than 6500 families rely on the Company to earn a livelihood, and social responsibility is a core value with various charitable activities & sustainable initiatives taken up through the Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation and Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust.

The Company has declared exceptional results in the first half of FY22 and, at a meeting held today, the Board approved a 1:1 bonus issue to reward shareholders on this special occasion.
