Mohali, Punjab: Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an autonomous society, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Government of India conferred the STPI Excellence Awards at TiECon 2022 at Plaksha University. The STPI Excellence Awards were presented as a recognition of the contribution made by the IT Industries in terms of exports, employment generation, innovation, and boosting the overall economy and prosperity of the Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula) and the states of Punjab & Haryana. The award function is a testimony of the contribution and achievements of STP/IT units/Startups from Tricity and both the states. For the performance of excellence, IT companies and individuals got awards in 16 different categories.
The event was held in presence of Special Guest, Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI, Shri Sibin C, Director Industries & Commerce Punjab and Shri Paritosh Dandriyal, Director, STPI-Gurugram, Shri Jitin Talwar, President TiE, Chandigarh and Dr. Rudra Pratap, Founding Vice-Chancellor, Plaksha University.
Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI delivered the keynote address at the award function and shared his thoughts on the progress of IT companies in this region and their contribution in boosting exports and generating employment opportunities.
Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI said, “STPI Excellence Awards manifest our commitment to the Indian IT/ITeS industry in recognizing their continuous efforts in contributing to the growth of exports and creating enormous employment opportunities for the tech talent of the country.”
