ICC Launches Romania and Republic of Moldova Chapter to Boost Bilateral Trade Ties

New Delhi, 21st April 2025: The Indian Chamber of Commerce launched its Romania and Republic of Moldova Chapter on April 17 2025 during a very successful event at Bucharest, Romania. The event was attended by over 120 distinguished guests, among which Sebastian Burduja, the Minister of Energy of the Govt of Romania and HE Ms Manika Jain, Hon’ble Indian ambassador to Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The launch event was hosted by Mr Dinu Gheorghe, Chief Representative of Indian Chamber of Commerce at Romania. The event was also attended by other esteemed speakers, including Mr Florin Manole, Member of Parliament of Romania and President of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee with India, Mr. Doru Frunzulică, Vice President of the Romanian Agency for Investment & Foreign Trade, Ms Irina Avram, General Director for State Aid at the Ministry of Finance, Dr Rajeev Singh, Director General of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Mr Ajay Aggarwal, President of Liberty Steel Europe, Gabriel Biris, Partner at Biris Goran, Mr Stere Stamule, FABIZ ASE Bucharest and Mr. Dhanapal Porpathasekaran, Director (Technical), Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL).

The event marked a significant milestone in fostering stronger economic ties between India, Romania, and Moldova. Attendees from diverse business sectors came together, creating strong ties of potential collaborations and partnerships.
