HRWAI trained food establishments in collaboration with FSSAI

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) on 18th February 2022, conducted an Online Food Safety Supervisory Training in Advance catering (FoSTaC) programme with FSSAI. The training was conducted virtually with 20 hospitality professionals from various restaurants and hotel establishments. The programme aimed to focus on standard health and food handling practices for hospitality personnel. Besides, they covered the information concerning the licensing requirement related to FSSAI.

This programme was more relevant and important for hospitality professionals. Post-COVID, appropriate behaviour and following the dos and don’ts have become necessary. The programme has found good participation and has urged the hospitality establishments to enroll their staff in such kind of training.

Ashwin Bhadri, CEO, Equinox Labs, says “HRAWI has taken an intense step to educate the professionals and their staff. Post-COVID or even during the normal phase, the hospitality establishment needs to be a bit cautious concerning the food safety and handling measures. Such programmes such be done on a large scale to ensure maximum people within the minimum period are educated.”

Equinox Labs is a leading FSSAI Approved and NABL Accredited Food, Water, and Air Testing Lab with 16+ years of experience. With a PAN-India presence, they are also Industry Leaders in Food Safety Auditing and FoSTaC Training.

He further added, “FoSTaC training does help the establishments to ensure they seek upgraded knowledge about the industry. Besides, the information related to FSSAI registration and license helps to get the new establishments and existing establishments to know whom to reach out to when needed. The food handling and safety protocols are mandatory to follow and hence one should never neglect those programmes introduced for the benefit of the business and consumers.”
